Pixel 3 camera test: 50 photo samples By High Tech Traveler

Hey, what's going on guys I'm, Nick gray, the high-tech traveler, and this here is the brand-new pixel 3 from Google I'm, going to be doing a full review on this device coming up early next week. So make sure you subscribe to the channel if you want to see that as soon as it's online, but for now I'm gonna, give you guys a preview of what the cameras, the back one and also the front facing cameras, can do on the pixel 3. If you're not aware, last year's pixel 2 was rated as being the best smartphone camera of 2017 beating out all of its Android competitors and iOS devices, and even surpassing some of the best smartphones from early 2018. As far as camera quality goes. So the question is: is the pixel 3 up to the task of going against the pixel 2 and also the other devices that are out there right now? As far as the specifications go, the pixel 2 and the pixel 3 cameras really aren't that far off? On the back of the pixel 3, you get a 12 point. Two megapixel sensor with an F 1.8 28 millimeter lens with optical image, stabilization and phase detect autofocus, but on the front. That's where things get a little different.

You actually get two front-facing cameras, both of them featuring eight megapixel sensors. The main one has an F 1.8 28 millimeter autofocus lens, which is actually something that Samsung has been doing for the last couple of years. But then the secondary one features an F 2.2 19 millimeter, ultra wide-angle lens, allowing you to fit in a lot more into your scene when you're taking your selfies getting more of the background in the image, or also squeezing in a couple extra friends. So now that we have all the specifications of the pixel threes cameras out of the way, let's jump in and see what this camera can actually do in the real world. As you can see, there is a lot to like about the pixel 3 and the images that the camera on this device can produce.

It performs really well in low-light situations and also high contrast situations which a lot of other smartphones really seem to struggle with, but I'll be doing a full in-depth image analysis in my upcoming pixel 3 review so make sure you subscribe to the channel if you want to see that as well.
