Oppo Watch Review

Hey there guys welcome back to another video. Today, I'm going to be doing a review on this great looking smartwatch, and this here is the Oppo watch. This Apple Watch was first announced in March of this year, and the folks at CEC tea shop gave me a discount on the 41. Millimeter rose gold version of the Oppo watch. This is not the Wear OS version, but rather the one running the color OS software. This version does not support the e-sim to get text messages and phone calls as a standalone watch.

You will need to keep your phone close by to get text messages and notifications, since it requires Bluetooth. This Oppo watch runs color OS instead of google Wear OS, which limits you on the apps you can use and download, and some apps are still in Chinese, which can make using the watch a little. Restricting the overall design between the Wear OS version and the color OS version is the same. I haven't been able to find a website that sells the wireless version and that's why I went with this one. This here is the 41 millimeter version that comes in three colors rose, gold, which is called pink gold on their website, black and silver mist.

It has a 1.6-inch screen that has a beautiful AMOLED display that gives the screen some vivid colors and those nice inky blacks. The Oppo watch has some thick bezels, but most of the watch faces cover it up with the black background that blends in. Unless you choose a watch face with a light background. It comes with an impressive 1000 nits of brightness, so it gets really bright. Making it ideal for outdoors, you can either set the brightness to automatic that does a very good job or adjust it manually.

The Oppo smartwatch has a snapdragon ware, 2500 processors, with an apollo 3 coprocessors. It is surprisingly fast, as it has been optimized for wearables, and the smartwatch has a lot of sensors that include the heart rate sensor, gyroscope sensor and the ambient light sensor. The Oppo watch also offers built-in GPS and supports 8 GPS. The watch is very snappy to load apps with this one gigabyte of ram. It has 8 gigabytes of storage, but I haven't figured out how to load music onto this watch for my PC.

When you connect it, the watch shows up, but you can't really access files. The Oppo watch is water resistant up to 30 meters, so you can take this to the pool, and it has a swimming mode that will lock the screen to prevent touches. The mode gives you the option between 25 meters and 50 meters for the pool size, and it will begin tracking your pace and record your time. The watch comes with a nice drawstring bag with the cent logo. The watch is well presented in a nice and sleek box.

It includes two microfiber cloths, which is always a good thing to have when you have plenty of screens around, and it also includes the magnetic charger. This watch was definitely designed with sleek, yet elegant looks in mind even the 41 millimeter version, which is the smaller of the two, seems to be a good enough size for what you need in a smartwatch. The Oppo watch is pretty lightweight coming in at 30.1 grams, so it's very comfortable on the wrist I like how they rounded off the edges to give it a less harsh square design. There are two buttons on the right side of the watch. The top one is for accessing your apps, and it has a nice animation when you press it, and it also serves as a back button to get out of the app the bottom button is customizable, and you can remap what a single press launches you get a list of apps to choose from.

I would choose text messages, but you can't reply to them for the double press, you only get a choice between payments. If you press and hold the bottom button, it will give you some power options. The color of this watch is nice and subtle. A good rose gold without looking too pink or too bronze. I think they got it just right with the color onto the watch.

Strap. One downside with this watch is that the watch straps will be a little more difficult to find because they don't use the quick release straps. Like other Wear OS watches, do it is technically a formal, quick release, because all you have to do is push down on this button here and pull it off. So at least that's nice to have another thing: that's noticeable right away. Is the closure on the straps instead of the usual buckle type watch closure? This one has a simple little pin that you push the strap with the holes over to keep it in place for the color OS software, swiping, left and right on the home screen switches between watch faces.

There are a couple of nice. Interactive watch faces that are pretty neat. You can also download more from the app's marketplace. I struggle to navigate around the marketplace because a lot of it is in Chinese, but the app icons did help a lot like the calculator app and the flashlight app that were easy to identify a nice feature about the watch is that it does offer automatic heart rate tracking 24 7. , and it gives you a nice graph of your heart rate throughout your daily activities and workouts.

It provides an accurate heart rate and even alerts you if it senses unusual heart rate. It also comes with a sleep tracker, and it gives you a detailed graph of different cycles of sleep such as deep and light sleep there's nothing. You have to do to activate this. This will automatically start recording in the background. Another cool thing about this watch is that it comes with a speaker, so you can make phone calls and play music from the watch if you figure out how to load music onto this watch.

If you do, let me know the speaker is quite loud, and you can make out what the other person is saying on a phone call. I would recommend keeping the volume below 95 if you will be listening to music on this, since it does tend to sound a bit high-pitched over 95 percent of volume, you can pause and resume your music from your watch, adjust the volume and skip tracks. The option will only show up when you start listening to music on your phone now on to the battery life charging. The watch doesn't take up too much time charging the watch for only 15 minutes can get you up to 46 percent, and it will last you a good few hours. My girlfriend can usually get about a day and a half out of this 300 William hour battery.

Unless you use these apps that require more consumption like workout trackers, the battery life isn't the best on here it is average compared to other Wear OS smartwatches on the market. The Oppo watch has your basic apps such as timer and alarm clock, and since it has a speaker, not only will it vibrate but also ring it also comes with a stopwatch and a calendar. You will need to download the calculator app. You can find your phone with your watch through the drop-down panel. That works really fast.

A nice helpful feature if you misplace your phone. Often the working out app contains nine different workouts that include running walking, cycling, swimming and a rowing machine. So it has a few of the most used workouts. One thing to note is that the watch will speak to you in Chinese to set up the watch with your phone. You will need to download the health app and most of it is in Chinese as well from there.

You can view some of your daily activity information. The Oppo watch has a cool little feature where it will automatically choose a watch face based on what you are wearing to match your outfit. It works. Okay, it doesn't really pick up the blues. It puts a gray down for a wallpaper instead, but for the other colors it works.

Just fine. It's a nice little way to get a fresh new watch face. Overall, I would recommend this watch, but I would suggest to wait for the Wear OS version, but if you can't wait or simply don't mind not having Wear OS, then this watch is a fast and responsive watch that makes for a good fitness tracker, alright guys. So that concludes today's review. Thank you.
