Good evening and welcome to the launch of our brand-new smartphone, the Reno4 Series – our most exciting launch to date. Thank you for being here to meet with us virtually, we’ve got an exciting evening lined up for you! Before we start with the main event today, I would like to address something that we cannot ignore given the format of the event today. As a global company, OPPO not only cares about the health and safety of its employees and partners but most importantly we are aiding humanity in the fight against this pandemic starting with local communities in countries and regions all around the world. OPPO is a forward-thinking international technology company and we believe it is our social responsibility to enact positive change every way we can. As soon as the epidemic began, we reached out to the international community to aid. In addition to offering our own customers free extension on warranties that expired during the special period from March 23rd to May 23rd in the GCC and other countries in the Middle East and Africa region, OPPO is also providing humanitarian aid in various ways.

Let us take a look at some of our efforts: We donated 300,000 masks to Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Japan and other countries. In Kenya, OPPO donated 1000 liters of hand sanitizer to fight against the pandemic. OPPO Nigeria launched the ‘OPPO Care’ initiative to donate food and essential supplies to low-income families and provide sanitation tips. In Egypt OPPO worked together with medical KOLs to produce educational videos about home disinfection and sanitation in order to increase public awareness about ways to prevent the spread of the pandemic. Throughout all of this, we live by our guiding principle of the Chinese term ‘benfen’, which means one’s part or duty.

I’m really excited to unveil the brand new Reno4 series together with you all virtually today.

And as we’re moving to the 5G era, I’d like to start with the amazing Reno4 Pro 5G… One little tip before we go, watch out the mysterious icons that might appear in the upcoming videos, OPPO is running a campaign rewarding those who collect them all! With Reno4 Pro 5G, OPPO has opened up new possibilities for smartphone video recording, allowing the users to produce ideal videos in less-than-ideal conditions. OPPO have tackled a number of technical challenges to bring you great selfies, amazing beautification effects, incredible zoom, and exceptional night photography. After a long day of working or learning, many of us love taking photos and videos to record and capture our life after night falls, when the glittering city lights are on and we are relaxing with family or friends. But whether a night video will turn out well or appear too blurry or too dark, often depends a lot on the lighting. Reno4 Pro 5G's camera engineering team set out to tackle these challenges at an early stage.

Thanks to their painstaking work, so that I could present to you today the exciting Ultra Night Wide-angle Video. Well, you may ask: "What's so special about Ultra Night Wide-angle Video?" Does it make night videos brighter? Does it put subjects in sharper focus? Does it make night scenes look more natural and beautiful? Does it reduce the level of image noise in videos? Actually, Ultra Night Wide-angle Video does them all. Each of them is a complex task in itself, but Ultra Night Wide-angle Video is designed to deliver all of these improvements making it easier for EVERYONE to take stunning videos at night. Let me start with the hardware. In order, to ensure sufficient light exposure, Reno4 Pro 5G is equipped with a customized, ultra-wide, ultra-powerful Sony IMX708 image sensor.

At 1/2.3 inches, the larger sensor gathers more light making it ideal for brighter night videos or photos. It supports the 16:9 format video, rather than the 4:3 format commonly found on other smartphone sensors, giving you a wider perspective than what you would get with a standard sensor. The 4-in-1 pixel binning algorithm has also been incorporated into video recording, which increases the overall pixel size, resulting in brighter and clearer images with greater light sensitivity for clearer and sharper videos in even extremely low light conditions. You may have noticed that low light conditions often render a camera’s auto-focus system useless on a lot of phones. Not on Reno4 Pro 5G! We equipped this phone with a flagship feature: laser detection auto-focus (LDAF), so that it can still auto focus in low light conditions in a much shorter amount of time.

In fact,142% faster. In addition to the powerful hardware specs, OPPO’s camera research team in Japan spent more than a year developing, iterating and refining an Ultra Night Video Algorithm. It provides dynamic enhancements so that colors are more vibrant, noise is reduced, and videos appear 74.4% brighter and 33.7% clearer. Let's take a look at a few examples. Without being told, you probably wouldn't think that these videos were taken with a smartphone.

You can see for yourself the stunning wide perspective, the brightly lit night scene, and the colors of the building that appear vivid even when reflected in the water. The image quality is superb even in dark areas, as you can see in the night sky here. Let's look at another set of videos. A lot of the times when we take videos at a party like this, we have to deal with dim lighting. Notice the brighter and more lively colors on the video shot on Reno4 Pro 5G.

Most of us are passionate about capturing our lives and memories by filming or photographing the world around us, or even ourselves, to be able to express our creativity. And Reno4 Pro 5G makes it easier than ever to access and use powerful photography functions, all from the palm of your hands. A common hurdle we have all faced while capturing special moments is background light that causes already dim areas to look dimmer and subjects almost unrecognizable. Given that, OPPO applied their Live HDR video algorithm on Reno4 Pro 5G, which helps soften the highlights in videos while retaining the backlight effect. If you’re into action shots and don’t have a gimbal on hand, Reno4 Pro 5G has the perfect solution that lets you control the speed of the moment with three different stabilization modes offered in Ultra Steady Video 3.0. And it is now available for the first time on the front camera with Front Steady Video. This stabilization capability also ensures high-quality time-lapse photography without tripods or other fixtures. With Hyperlapse on Reno4 Pro 5G, fresh and unique special effects make videos more interesting, while a steady and clear slow rhythm gives room to the imagination. But that's not the end.

This time, OPPO makes videos even better. A video is a combination of light, shadow, sounds, colors, and more. With its ultra slim body, one could say that it's light in weight, but big in power. Making the device slim and lightweight may have been one of the most brain-racking challenges for the engineers. To begin with, 5G smartphones have more complicated components than their 4G counterparts. Moreover, packing such a powerful camera and battery into less than 8mm was no easy feat. OPPO engineers took up the challenge.

They experimented with a slimmer display, which reduced the depth by 0.44 mm; an ultra slim fingerprint sensor, which reduced the depth by 2.687; an optimized battery layout to reduce another 0.43 mm. Just when I thought there was nothing more that could be done, the engineers optimized the phone's internal structure, so that the depth could be further reduced by 0.12 mm. And finally, the OPPO Reno4 Pro 5G you see today is a slim 7.6 mm and weighs a mere 172 grams. The dual-curved screen was implemented for a better grip so that you can hold it for a long time without feeling tired. It can easily be slipped into your pocket or bag without making it look stuffed.

Having talked about its lightweight structure, now I want to say something about the appearance. Stay tuned. Today, I’m also happy to introduce a new member from OPPO IoT products, the OPPO Enco W51 True Wireless Headphones. The W51 is newly upgraded with Dual-mic for feed-forward and feed-back noise cancellation, and it’s also paired with an expensive dual-core chip with hybrid Active Noise Cancellation. Both these have yielded a noticeable improvement in noise cancellation.
