Oppo Find X3 Pro versus Pixel 5 camera comparison

Hey, what's going on guys, I'm nick gray, and today I'm doing a smartphone camera comparison with the all-new Oppo index 3 pro, which I'm using to record right now from its rear ultra-wide camera and comparing that to Google's pixel 5. Now, as we've done in all of these camera comparisons, everything that you see in this video is recorded on these two devices. So just keep an eye at the bottom of the screen to see which smartphone and which cameras from that smartphone are being used. Now before we jump into some side-by-side photo and video comparisons between these two devices, let's go over the specs to see how these two devices stack up on paper, kicking things off with Google's pixel 5. It has two sensors on the back, a 12, megapixel main sensor, then 16 megapixels, ultra-wide camera that can record 4k video at up to 60 frames per second and then for the front-facing camera. We get a single 8 megapixel sensor that peaks through the display that can capture 1080p video at 30 frames per second and moving over to the Oppo index 3 pro with its quad camera setup.

On the back and it's quite unique since it uses the same sensor for the standard and ultra-wide sensors, it's the Sony, mix 766. That was just released this past December and then there's a 2x zoom camera with a 13 megapixel sensor that also offers 5x, hybrid zoom and then finally, a micro camera. There, three megapixels, as you can see it, has a LED ring around it, and this is different from macro cameras, whereas it can focus at about three to five millimeters in distance, with the LED light being able to be used to light up the subject, it really gets dramatically closer than what we can see from macro cameras these days. As for the front-facing camera you're, looking at a 32 megapixel sensor that can record 1080p video at 30 frames per second, while the rear cameras on the back can record 4k video at up to 60 frames per second. Now that we've gotten the specifications of these two smartphones, all squared away, let's jump into some side-by-side photo and video comparisons to see how these two devices stack up in everyday use.

Do now one of the nice things with both of these two devices is that they're able to switch lenses on the fly while recording video, unlike some other devices that force you to stop, recording and then switching so right now we're at the ultra-wide camera, I'm going to switch over to the main sensor here, get in a little closer and then on the opp. We are able to switch to the 2x zoom, while this is a 2x digital crop on the pixel 5. Okay, oh and this here's a look at video quality from the front facing cameras on both of these devices in low light conditions. As you can see, it's really not that great on Google's pixel device, even though it does seem to have better dynamic range during daytime shots. The Oppo device does definitely record better video in low light conditions, especially like this.

When there's honestly, we've got a couple lights behind us, but not really a lot of illumination out here so and that's going to do it for this camera comparison between the Oppo index 3 pro and Google's pixel 5. Let me know what you think of the results in the comments below and which device you would rather use on a day-to-day basis for capturing photos and videos. I do have a full review of the Oppo find x3 pro coming up and additional camera comparisons as well, so make sure you subscribe to the channel and stay tuned for that thanks again, and I'll catch you in the next one.
