OPPO FIND X3 PRO 5G: GINALINGAN MASYADO NG OPPO! By Mary Bautista

It's the time of the year again where quality smartphones are coming out from different brands. And this time, it's from OPPO, it's their newest flagship offering which is the OPPO Find X3 Pro 5G. So if you'll remember last year, of course they've released their OPPO Find X2 Pro, I thought before that it won't be continued. If you remember, it's the full leather one where it's kind of in a Hermes color— it's color orange. It's actually one of my favorite flagship smartphones until now, because the built of OPPO is really good, in terms of design, on that one. And this year, I am expecting quite a lot since of course they've got a great implementation that they've made last year.

For those who're not familiar with X series, the X series is the flagship series that OPPO releases every year. And usually, it's summer. Last year got kind of late, because of, of course, the pandemic. If you'll remember last year, we had two choices for the OPPO Find X2 PRO— there's a full leather or the other one that is ceramic, if I'm not mistaken. And I think this time, it's different.

We don't have any full leather which makes me really sad, but let's see what OPPO will offer this time. (bright music) Let's open it now. The box guys is very industrial in design. It's not as colorful as last year. And usually they use this color on the box like gray/black when it's a flagship.

But overall, it looks very familiar with the recent OPPO that we've unboxed which is the OPPO Reno 5 series. Everything is matte black guys, even its smaller box, it's also matte black. Let's now open it. Maybe inside here is its jelly case. Oh.

It's not a jelly case. Actually, it's a jelly case, guys, but it's not your usual jelly case. So now, you know what's the color of our smartphone— it's blue. We have poking tool or the SIM ejector tool, paperworks like the user guide and the warranty card, and since this is not the retail unit, what I have is the international warranty card. Yes.

"International". (giggles) It's like we're on a different level, right? We also have the phone. And again, what I have is the blue one. And same with last year, the famous 65W Super VOOC 2.0 flas... Flas... (laughs) Flash charger.

USB Type-C to USB Type-A charging cable. And we also have a USB Type-C earphones. So same with last year, we no more have a headphone jack for the OPPO Find X3 Pro. So I wasn't disappointed, because this has already happened last year. So let's now remove its plastic.

I've used this OPPO X3 Pro for quite a while already, but since I still can't post or what, I really hid it from you. But this is it, finally. But the case, it's my first time seeing it. It's my first time. So let's try it out on the phone.

Oh! Did you see that? It looks very familiar. And when it's got the jelly case on, it's almost like it doesn't have a camera bump. So, OPPO Find X3 Pro... Let's first go to its design. (bright music) For the OPPO Find X3 Pro, we only have two color choices, either this matte blue or the gloss black.

So if you'll buy the black one, its finish is not matte. They're different. So we don't have colorful smartphone from their X series anymore, which makes me really sad. You know me guys, I like smartphones that have beautiful or vibrant color. But don't get me wrong, the color that I have here looks very elegant.

Its color looks very, very familiar and even the camera setup. Why? Yes. Wait, I'll just show it. It's kind of similar in color with the new color that we have for the iPhone 12 series, right? And even the camera setup itself, it looks very, familiar. For a flagship smartphone, I like that it's not too heavy, because its weight guys is 193g only.

And the thickness is 8.26mm. What we have here is a curved glass. It's sleek. Its frame is also metal. Overall, I like the way it feels on my hand.

It doesn't too big, because when we say "flagship", the interpretation is it'll always be big, it'll be heavy, it's thick. Previously, with the smartphones of OPPO when you we say "Find X", they don't have IP rating, because of course Find X was known for having a motorized pop-up camera, if you'll remember that. And this time, same with last year actually, it still has a IP68 water and dust resistance. Not waterproof, okay? Guys, waterproof is different from water resistance. With waterproof, you can literally submerge for a long time like the light that I have here.

This one is waterproof. If you'll notice it, the camera bump that we have for the OPPO Find X3 Pro, it's very different, it's smooth like it has a ramp compared to the traditional smartphones like the iPhone wherein it has a sharp, very bothersome camera bump. On the top, most part of the phone, it has a microphone. On the right, it has a volume rocker with a green accent. On the left, it has volume rockers and below we have SIM tray, another microphone, USB Type-C port, and speaker grill.

And don't expect that it's expandable via microSD card, because it's not. Although, it's dual SIM. Overall, for the design, it's approved for me, and I like that the box has accessories, because most flagships for this year guys doesn't really have anything anymore. They're just aiming for the thinnest box. So good news, or I mean good job for OPPO.

But if you'll ask me, for me, I, I felt attracted more on the OPPO Find X2 Pro where it's full leather, maybe because it looks like a luxury bag. But again, if you're this type of person that is not into smartphones with flashy color, you'll really appreciate the colors that we have for the OPPO Find X3 Pro. (bright music) Now, let's talk about displays. The OPPO Find X2 Pro, last year, has one of the best display among all the flagship devices. It's really one of the most beautiful.

I just said it in Tagalog. I'm just making the video longer. I'm just making it harder for our editor. But, what should we expect for the OPPO Find X3 Pro? It has a 6.7 inches curved screen with quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz screen refresh rate. The front panel guys, it's made of Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Sadly, last year, it was Corning Gorilla Glass 6. So in terms of display actually guys, nothing really changed that much compared to last year. It's still 6.7 inches of display, same quad HD+ resolution, and a 120Hz screen refresh rate. So in terms of display, there is no major upgrades. If we were to go to its settings, let's go to Nature Tone Display.

And if we're going to turn this on, this will automatically adjust the screen color temperature according to ambient lighting. And if we were to go to screen color mode, it has so many options like vivid, gentle, cinematic, and brilliant. And of course, knowing that this smartphone is AMOLED, it also has an always-on-display, and of course the edge lighting. I don't have any complaints so far on its display. Maybe I'm not used to it that much or I don't really prefer for smartphones to have a curved display, because it's more practical if we only have a flat display.

(bright music) Now, let's talk about its cameras. Actually, in the camera setup, this is where the biggest change is in the OPPO Find X3 Pro. We now have a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS for the main camera. For its ultra-wide angle, we have 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor that can be used as well for macro shots up to 4cm. A 13MP telephoto camera wherein we can 5x hybrid optical zoom and 20x digital zoom.

And 3MP with 60x magnification. And lastly, the selfie camera that has 32MP. We used to have 48MP main and 48MP ultra-wide last year. Actually, all of the cameras that we have for the OPPO Find X3 Pro is really impressive. The cameras that we have for the OPPO Find X3 Pro, they're really good.

It's very impressive based on the sample shots that you'll see right now. But what really impressed me on this smartphone is the ultra-wide angle lens. It's probably one of the best ultra-wide angle lens that I've seen so far on flagship devices. And the competition is kind of tough between the ultra-wide angle lens that we have for the Find X3 Pro and for the iPhone 12 Pro Max. It doesn't have much distortion.

And yes, for the ultra-wide, we can use the night mode. So yes, when it comes to color consistency, there aren't any problems. Probably because, again, same sensor is used on the main camera and on the ultra-wide camera in the OPPO Find X3 Pro. Now, something new with OPPO Find X3 Pro is what they're calling "microlens". At first, I thought it was a macro lens, but it's a microlens.

This is my first time hearing it on a smartphone. It has up to 60x magnification microlens. The minute becomes magnified. And every time you use this camera, it has like an LED light surrounding its camera. It works like a mini ring light, giving more light into the subject.

And correct me if I'm wrong, I have been in the tech scene for quite some time already and it's my first time encountering this kind of dedicated camera lens. So, yeah. If there is a macro lens, there is also a microlens. So it's like capturing detail within the detail. That kind of detailed it is, guys.

These are the shots. For example, if you want to take a picture of your hair or your callus... (giggles) (laughs) If you'll remember it, we have a raw capture on OPPO Find X2 Pro. And this time, OPPO is introducing the raw plus Raw+ wherein we can capture HDR in a raw format with a Raw+. And for video guys, we can shoot up to 4K.

And guys, what I like on the video recording of OPPO Find X3 Pro is that changing between the lenses while we're recording was very smooth. There isn't any stutter. Again, it's not slow compared to others. So yes, camera wise, OPPO Find X3 Pro is a real flagship for me. I like what OPPO gave us this time.

(bright music) Now, let's talk about chipset. Of course, it's a chip... chipsets... (giggles) Of course, it's a flagship smartphone. It also has the latest Snapdragon 888.

Actually, for the phone that I have right now, what I have is 12GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage. So yes, for that we only have one variant available which is what I have right now, the 12GB RAM. And for the AnTuTu benchmark score, it is impressive guys.667,361 points is its result. It's result is kind of close with the Xiaomi Mi 11. And yes, our OPPO Find X3 Pro is already 5G.

And the good news on this guys, is that OPPO Find X3 Pro supports dual SIM 5G plus 5G dual reception. Although I've already used the OPPO Find X3 Pro, I have yet to play games on it for long periods of time, so I'm not that sure yet if this smartphone gets so hot. But guys, last year on the X2 Pro, I didn't experience any overheating. (bright music) For charging, notthing changed that much actually. It's still the same.

But with the battery capacity, it did improve. We not have 4,500mAh of battery capacity. And last year, it as 4,260mAh which was my biggest problem probably on that phone. Just imagine a 120Hz combined with the quad HD+ resolution... Guys, that smartphone won't last for a day, the Find X2 Pro.

And even though it's small, it still improved which is good. And thanks also to a more efficient Snapdragon 888. By the way, it's still the same guys, if you'll remember before... It's cool that in the X2 Pro, you can pair the 120Hz with the quad HD+, and it's still the same. They didn't change that.

It is still doable. For charging, again, it's still the same 65W as advertised according to OPPO. You will be able to get 40% of battery charge in just 10 minutes. But we'll still do a test for that to know if it's true. And it is also capable of 30W AirVOOC.

This one guys is not the air charging that you've heard of. They just called it AirVOOC, but this is the traditional wireless charging. it's capable of 30W wireless charging which can fully charge the OPPO Find X3 Pro in just 80 minutes. And aside from that, it is also capable of 10W reverse wireless charging. (bright music) Now, ColorOS 11.2 based on Android 11. Actually, I've seen many changes, there are a lot of new things.

There's so many things that you can customize now. We now have a customizable dark mode that is always-on-display. We also have what we called the OPPO Relax 2.0. The privacy system of this phone is also okay wherein you can create a place that only you can access. You can maximize privacy in any application, protect personal data, and for your eyes only.

And guys, the in-display fingerprint sensor of this smartphone is also very fast. So yeah. That's it actually for my OPPPO Find X3 Pro unboxing and quick review. For the price again, I don't know yet, because the event still haven't launched yet. But again, I'll put the updated prices on the description box.

I'm just hoping for that the OPPO Find X3 Pro won't be more than the price that we have for the S21 Ultra. I hope it's Php10,000 to Php50,000 cheaper compared to that phone. So if its price will be closer to the S21 Plus, this is going to be a very hard flagship smartphone to beat. So yeah, thanks guys. Again, it's your Tech Girl, Mary.
