Oppo Find X2 Pro - Dolphin Retro Gaming Emulation Test - Gamecube - Wii!

Hello and welcome to today's video so this time, finally, we're going to be able to have a look at the Oppo find x2 pro running the dolphin emulator, so uh. As you know, this one runs a game cube and original Wii games on it, and it has had a few little issues with controller support uh which prevented me, including them. In my last video I'm looking at the Oppo find x2 pro, but now, thankfully those have been resolved so uh. You can play it hands-on, uh, if you haven't, got a controller, or you can put a Bluetooth or a wired controller in, and it works absolutely great. So we'll start off with the game cube first, and we'll have a look at bloody raw, so we'll just have a quick blast on the arcade mode of this one. Now I've got the sound turned quite low, because the speakers on the Oppo f5x2 are unbelievable.

I mean almost deafening so fantastic often you don't need to put these over to a Bluetooth speaker. They just play great. So let's have a look and see how this gets on. So initially, let's see is that normal I want to. I want to pick up to see if we're getting any sort of sound lagging, and I think we are yeah, there's certainly a little of sound lagging on this.

One apparently is one of the harder ones to emulate it's running a little slowly. So that's interesting! So first one we tried, then, even with all this power um, we are getting a little of slow down on it and uh. I'm quite surprised at that, because we don't tend to get a lot of it, but it's interesting or none of the same so that it's slowed down almost completely now, and it's not just the sound it's the actual gameplay as well, so bloody watch, bloody raw on the game cube. Look at that. It's struggling a little interesting! Well, let's try another one, so Mario Kart game cube, Mario Kart, plays absolutely fantastic.

I mean fantastic. I just not had any sort of slowdown at all on this one, so you have to think that the dolphin m uh developers have basically optimized such what is obviously going to be one of the most popular games on the system. Maybe they've just not got round to uh bloody raw yeah that first one that we looked at as you can see, this one plays fine fast and furious fun. I don't know I'm in fourth yeah, so this place, I mean perfect, absolutely perfect, as if it was uh on the game cube itself really great. So I could say: Mario Kart yeah plays fine um, but we need to test a few more games here, because I think this is just uh.

Maybe this isn't pushing the system quite far enough. Yet so let's try something else. This is Legend of Zelda, the wind walker. I have high hopes that this one's going to play well seems all right. You look around with the bottom sort of analog keyboard across hairs and uh the top one sort of moves you in the direction that you want to travel.

Well, this looks alright. Doesn't it this looks, lovely we've got a beautiful, oh, I hope we're straight to the action, but that beautiful sort of cell shaded animation style. This actually looks very, very nice. Indeed, this is lovely. My little map there shows me where I am and that's the way I've come.

So let's have a look around here. I think I need to be going over here. Possibly do I need to break these Zelda, it's always good to smash stuff, because you, you can get extra lives and things like that. I'm guessing um there's a key or something to get out the door. Oh, it's been a while, since I played this one literally since it came out.

I don't think I played this since then. I remember getting quite a way into it, but cool that was a long time ago. Now, anyway, as you can see, this looks and plays absolutely beautifully so uh. This is one you're going to want to try so yeah Legend of Zelda, wind walker wow. This looks great.

I think this is one you're going to enjoy for sure this is wave race, blue storm. I do like uh sort of these uh styler games. Furthermore, I found this one quite tricky compared to say the n64 version. Yeah, controls super quite sensitive and not a hundred percent clear, where you're supposed to go as you can see, but it plays absolutely fun. I'm fine and uh.

The trick is just not to go too fast. I think, because that is the mistake you can make her. I can't miss any more buoys, so, as you can see this one's playing absolutely fine, and I think we can safely say all right. A couple of games um, I tried, have not worked perfectly um bloody raw, and I didn't get time splitters to play that. Well it had that sort of jittering, but that's just a bit of optimization required um, but in a lot of cases most of the games, I've tried just play great off the bat.

So now, let's have a look at some Wii games so versus cap com ultimate all-stars. This is a nice wee beat-em-up. Now, after my recent success not being able to use controllers on this um, I'm not going to push uh, not going to attempt fade um, but I do own an original Wii and I still absolutely love it um. But apparently you can um. You can sync a Wii mote, an original Wii controller to your android phone and play these games on your phone using a Wilmot which is incredible.

Isn't it, so it may be an experiment for the future. Maybe we'll have a go at the uh. The Wii sports game see how we get on, because that was always great. Wasn't it okay, but you can't beat a good beam up so one of the first things I notice is of course we're in widescreen now when the 16.9 screen ratio. Now I don't know if I chose two good characters or not.

To be honest, I don't think I did, but almost a little glitch there was a bit of a freezer. Wasn't it just for a nanosecond? On the whole, it's playing pretty good. My character is responsive, no sort of delay here, nice colorful screen. I'd, say this is a pretty good uh. Pretty good emulation here, actually I'll, swap my character out there.

It's back again is that speed racer, I'm not sure if he seems to be playing all right. This one there's an awful lot of games to choose from in the game cube and we library we especially I mean it's just it's a very, very powerful and popular console in its day and there's hundreds thousands of games almost for it. Now it's there is over a thousand games for the week, not quite so many for the game cube, but I think we can safely say that this one seems to be playing really well and uh. Yeah. I'm pleased with that.

Let's have a look at another Wii game, uh, yeah, metal, slug anthology is certainly one which its great value, because it's got all the classic sort of metal slug games all into one um. Certainly some played better than others, but I think they're all perfect fun, and you know your sort of know what you're going to get with these, which is great um. If you just want a quick, quick blast or something. This is the way to go now. The only problem with emulating the Nintendo Wii is that the actual control, the Wii itself was such a unique controller that playing with a normal joy pad, doesn't really do it great justice, because it's trying to emulate something which it is wasn't originally designed for.

But, as I said, you can pick up a Wii mode fairly cheaply these days off somewhere like eBay, and you could play these games the way that they were originally designed to be played with a Wii, remote controller, nun chuck. Believe it or not, I have to say playing it with a controller, not ideal compared to some there. We are. I got him, but still a lot of fun and certainly a way to experience some of these Wii games that you may never have chance to any other way and, as you can see, this one's playing, absolutely fine uh most of the Wii games do. To be honest, I don't think you're going to have much issue uh, not on a phone such as this with this much power, but I would say that certain games on the Wii and the game cube do still need a bit of tweaking.

So it might be either you'd set the controls unique to that game, or we wait for another dolphin update because it's still not quite as um, it's not quite as smooth as I would perhaps like it. I think the game cube's running fine, I think the Wii is a bit fiddly still, and I think I'm just putting that down to trying to emulate the controller more than anything anyway. That is it for today's uh we're going to be doing that is it for today's video. If you have enjoyed it again, do please give it a thumbs up.
