OPPO A94 vs Samsung Galaxy A51 comparison review By The Modern Creatures

Today's video will be a little more different from our usual reviews, since this will be a direct comparison between two phones. OPPO Philippines sent us the Oppo a94, as well as the Samsung Galaxy a51, and basically they want us to compare these two phones and told us to just be honest about it. Well, we're always honest in our reviews and that's exactly what we're going to do. So, let's take a closer look at these two affordable mid-range phones. First is the Oppo a94, which was introduced in the Philippines earlier this year with the 14 000 price tag, then we have the Samsung Galaxy a51 which arrived in the Philippines about a year ago and is currently priced at 17 990 pesos from there.

We can already see the four thousand pairs of price difference, and we're also aware that Samsung has a newer galaxy a32, which is in the same price range as this Oppo phone. But if you want to see what you get from these two phones stick around. This is our Oppo a94 and Samsung Galaxy. A51 comparison, okay, so in terms of design, the Oppo a94 and the galaxy a51 are almost identical in size, they're, almost as tall as each other wide as each other and thick as each other. They both have glossy plastic backs, but the Oppo a94 has a very obvious gradient finish.

While galaxy 51 keeps things simpler with lines and a hint of this rainbow glow power and volume buttons on the Oppo a94 are separated, but the galaxy a51 keeps them both on the right side. Both have a 3.5, millimeter, audio jack, USB c port and speaker grille at the bottom. The rear camera module on the Oppo a94 is bigger, with a LED flash situated outside it and as for the front camera, both went the punch, hole approach, but Oppo kept its sensor tucked on the left corner, while Samsung placed theirs right smack in the middle. They both have curved edges and with the same weight. They feel very similar to the hand with thin profiles, they're easy to hold and easy to slide inside a pocket for color options.

The Oppo a94 comes in fluid black and fantastic purple, while the galaxy a51 comes in white, blue, pink and prism crush black. Now, let's talk display. The galaxy a51 comes in a bit larger at 6.5 inches compared to OPPO's 6.43-inch screen, and this is because of this thicker chin down here being a Samsung phone. It comes with a super AMOLED display versus oppose AMOLED panel and comparing both side by side. There's not much difference.

You can see here and both are vibrant, detailed and enjoyable to watch on. The advantage of Samsung's super AMOLED panel. Here is more for power, consumption and a bit of brightness under direct sunlight in terms of resolution. Both have a full HD plus or 2400 by 1080 pixels, and since they don't have settings for choosing refresh rates, I'm guessing their, both at 60 hertz. Both of these phones went for under display fingerprint sensors, and they worked perfectly, but the Oppo a94 comes in quicker by a few milliseconds and as in addition to its multimedia system.

There are no dual speakers here, but the Oppo a94 offers audio enhancements on board for imaging both the Oppo a94 and galaxy a51 sport quad cameras for flexibility in shooting. Let's talk about the a94 first, it comes with a 48 megapixel main sensor, with an 8 megapixel ultra-wide shooter, 2, megapixel macro and another 2 megapixel camera for depth. It shoots 4k videos of 30fps and 1080 at 120fps. It also comes with digital stabilization for smoother video clips. Meanwhile, the galaxy a51 comes with the same 48 megapixels main a higher 12 megapixel ultra-wide 5 megapixel macro and another 5 megapixel depth sensor higher than oppose, offering video, also maxes out at 4k 30 fps, with 120 fps shooting at full HD digital image.

Stabilization is also present for selfies. Both carry a 32 megapixel front shooter. Putting these cameras to the test, we would say both produced, lively and vibrant images with great detail, but the Samsung Galaxy a51's photos appear closer to the real thing in terms of colors. Oppose a94 has the tendency to brighten up the image and in turn this sometimes reduces vibrancy and clarity. Some prefer the Oppo a94 shot, which is brighter while some went for the galaxy a51. But if you were to choose which would you pick? We were also able to game on both devices. No problem running today's top gaming titles. Additional differences, you might want to know include NFC connection for only the galaxy a51 and FM radio. If you're still into that on the software side, both are running android 11 only with different UI Oppo comes with its own color OS 11.1 and Samsung has its one UI 3.0 both are easy to use and are very intuitive, but I personally prefer the feel of oppose colors OS UI. Although it comes with more bloatware apps that you might want to delete to eliminate some on-screen clutter and finally, both come with dual sim card slots and support up to 4g connectivity.

The Oppo a94 packs a larger battery at 4310 William hour versus the galaxy a51's 4 000 William hour capacity both are able to last a day's work. That means starting the day with the full battery and charging it at night before going to bed and for our standard battery test that involves streaming a high-res video with 50 brightness and no volume. Both devices lasted more than nine hours and only had a few minutes of difference in terms of total time during the test. So this basically means that, while the Oppo a94 comes with a bigger battery, Samsung's performance is better at managing battery consumption, most likely due to its super AMOLED display and Enos processor. But in terms of charging the Oppo a94 does things quicker thanks to its 30 watt, fast charge versus the 15 watt, offering of the galaxy a51 and, as always in our reviews, the modern creatures aims to find special features and devices that make them worth having their creature feature.

And for this video I would say, the creature feature for the Oppo a94 is its AMOLED display. That shows lively, colors and details, and as for the Samsung Galaxy a51, it would be its squad camera setup that captures natural and lifelike colors. So as a way of wrapping this video up. What do these? All mean yes, the Oppo a94 offers generally the same specs, if not better, in some aspects like ram than the more expensive galaxy a51, and although the galaxy a51 is overall, better in taking photos, this comparison showed us that the Oppo a94 offers more bang for your buck.
