OnePlus Nord 2 Unboxing & 72 Hour Review - AGAIN!

Hi guys it's SBT, and this is the OnePlus word 2, and I've been using it for roughly a few days now and uh. This is my full review so far, and I'm ridiculously warm it's about a thousand degrees here, I'm already red as it is. This is gonna, be a hell of a video. Let's go so after apologizing for my gleaming complexion, as I show you the unboxing experience, where does the OnePlus word 2 fit in OnePlus lineup who's it for? Well no surprise! This is the second coming of the original word smartphone, which was released last year. That was a phone that, after a few premium flagship releases, OnePlus tried to almost go back to their routes, creating great phones that tick most boxes in terms of build and specs, but with leaving a few of the more expensive bells and whistles out can quite simply be more affordable than similar devices from the likes of apple and Samsung, the mid-range beast, the flagship killer. Now I made no secret that I was a big fan of the original OnePlus word, but also not so mad keen on the subsequent ones.

In the word line, the likes of the n10, for example, because I felt that they took away too much and didn't really have a clear slot in the market. Thankfully, I feel this new phone follows more along the pathway, as the original word as you'll see, but it's not perfect, and we'll cover it all. So. Firstly, what does the OnePlus word 2 get right from a design and build quality point of view? Well, like the original word, it actually feels really nice and premium gorilla glass front and back- and I'm told we have a plastic frame here, but this again will fool a lot of people. I feel into thinking it's metal there's a really healthy weight to this phone buttons are really nice and click, whilst feeling firm and the famous OnePlus alert slider is present.

On the right hand, side. There have also been some significant upgrades to the camera, but more on that shortly, and to be honest, the only thing that I'm not mad, keen on from an aesthetics point of view, is the chin which is larger than the other bezels, not a dealbreaker for me personally, but it may put a few people off so in terms of the hardcore specs. How does the nor2 shape up? Well, traditionally, OnePlus go with a Qualcomm chipset snapdragon different variants for different phones, including the nor done, which had the snapdragon 765g, but for the nord2 OnePlus have actually gone a different route now, interestingly, they've actually teamed up with MediaTek to custom name the chip inside the density, 1200 AI and more on the AI part in a second now after MediaTek chips, whilst on the whole do a pretty darn good job, they often get a slightly bad rep in comparison to Qualcomm ones, but this might be about to change, as not only does the nor2 outperform the nor done in terms of benchmarks, its CPU performance is apparently 65 faster and the GPU performance is up by 125. Everything feels really nice and responsive and combined with the 12 gigabytes of ram and the 90 hertz refresh rate 6.43 inch AMOLED display. I think, a lot of the general consumers out there wouldn't really know they weren't dealing with a flagship here unless really heavy-duty tasks were your thing.

Gaming on the whole is pretty decent, indeed, with improved haptics and aided by a couple of AI gaming algorithms for better high refresh rate gaming. These help reducing latency and cutting energy demand by around 10. Now this AI theme runs right through the display, as well with the resolution boost feature, helping to upscale content on YouTube, for example, and smart ambient display technology which can automatically improve legibility of text etc. when in direct sunlight, but we're not quite done there in terms of AI, because we also have some features inside the camera itself. But let's talk about the hardware first, and I actually feel like I'm melting, it's so hot 30 degrees, studio, lighting, no air con.

So in terms of hardware, the front camera has a single hole, punch cut out containing a 32 megapixel lens, the highest count of any OnePlus phone and here's an example on my ugly mug. The rear camera is a triple camera array, with a 50, megapixel Sony, mix 766 main sensors, as, of course seen in the flagship, OnePlus 9 series. F, 1.8 aperture great for letting in more light, and it has is to reduce motion blur from shakiness, and this is something I noticed pretty early on movement pictures of my kids or Lottie. My cat seem to be pretty clear indeed, which I think is impressive. At this price point you have the tried and tested ultra-wide angle lens as well: 8 megapixels and a 119.7 degree field of view and a monochrome lens, completing the trio. The word 2 can take some really nice shots.

There is a slight color temperature discrepancy between lenses, but on the whole, the camera for this price point is very good. Nights cape has also been improved, and you can now apparently take usable shots in lighting as low as just one candlelight. So evening. Restaurant and bar pictures should be an absolute breeze for you. The battery is 4500 my, which is not incredible, but it's sufficient, and the retail box does come with the warp charge, 65 chargers, which is absolutely rapid, and I think it goes from naught to 100 in roughly around 30 minutes.

But don't quote me on that and no no wireless charging. So stereo speakers are actually really impressive for this mid-range area of the market, clear, nice and loud, and the latest oxygen OS 11.3 over android is as efficient and slick as ever love it two years worth of android updates three years worth of security updates and uh. All in all, I think they've done it again, great device, great price. What more could you want? Let me know what you think of the OnePlus word 2 in the comment section below. Do you like it? Do you not like it? Are you going to buy it? Are you going to look for something similar, similar price? Let me know, as always as and share if you enjoyed the video and found it helpful, subscribe if you're new to the channel and love everything tech, I love you I'll see you in the next one I'll, hopefully be a bit cooler, because I am sweating, and you don't want to see that.

So it's just what you out you're the one.
