OnePlus 9 Pro vs Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra - Who Will Win?

Hey everybody- this is Andre here with the Kevin breeze channel and in this video we're going to be doing a comparison between the OnePlus 9 pro and the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra, let's get started so the OnePlus 9 pro has a 6.7 inch, 120 hertz AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440p a PPI of 525, an aspect ratio of 20.1 by 9 and a screen to body ratio of 90.3 percent. We got a hole punch here for the front-facing camera and this camera is 16 megapixels, the Samsung Galaxy s, 21 ultra has a 6.8 inch, 120 hertz, dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440p a PPI of 515, an aspect ratio of 20x9 and a screen to body ratio of 89.8 percent. We got a hole punch here for the front facing camera as well, and this one is 40 megapixels, so these phones are almost the same in pretty much every way. As far as the display goes, both of them have 120. Hertz displays, as you can see here, the scrolling on the screen is a lot faster and smoother than a lot of other phones, and this is because having a higher refresh rate is going to improve the movement on the screen. So if you're doing lots of content consumption like video streaming or if you're into high performance gaming, you're going to see a big difference there as far as which one is better, it's really hard to say, because their specs are almost exactly the same, but the s21 ultra does have a slightly larger display by about a tenth of an inch.

So I will give the s21 a slight edge for that now. The OnePlus 9 pro has 256 gigabytes of internal storage with micros card expansion and the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra has 128 gigabytes of internal storage, also with micros card expansion. So here the OnePlus 9 pro does have a significant advantage with double the storage of the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra. So, if you're doing something, that's taking up a lot of space like if you have a lot of games on your phone or if you're, shooting high quality videos, that's a real good reason to go with the OnePlus 9 pro, because it has so much more storage regardless nowadays with apps getting larger and larger, as well as the system in general. It's just a good idea to have more storage than less, and since these phones are in basically the same price range, then it would make sense to get the one with the larger storage.

If that's something that's really important to you. Both of these phones have wireless charging, but as far as this feature is concerned, the OnePlus 9 pro is going to have an edge here because it supports 50 watt wireless charging versus 15 watt and OnePlus even has its own wireless charger optimized for the OnePlus 9 pro, which is definitely significant. If you are one of those people who like wireless charging as far as security goes, both of these phones are perfect, having not only a fingerprint scanner but also face unlock it's nice to have both because having multiple options never hurts. Both of these fingerprint scanners are in the display right here. Let's try this one out.

That was real good one more time and there we go. That was really fast, basically instant. So I have no complaints about this. Let's see how this one does real nice. Fingerprint scanners are basically the same.

I don't think one is faster than the other. These have honestly moved beyond the room for improvement. There's really, in my opinion, nothing else that can be done with it. These fingerprint scanners really move at the speed of thought itself, so you won't have to worry about whether it's going to unlock fast enough. Now, taking a look at the camera setup on the back, the OnePlus 9 pro has a 48 megapixel rear camera, a 50 megapixel ultra-wide camera, an 8 megapixel telephoto lens and a 2 megapixel monochrome camera.

So real good features. Pretty much anything you would need the Samsung Galaxy. S21 ultra has a 108 megapixel rear camera, a 12 megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 10 megapixel telephoto lens and a 10 megapixel periscope telephoto lens. So as far as camera features, these phones are going to be really similar. These two phones have some of the best cameras in the market, so you won't have to worry about whether the image quality is gonna, be good enough.

Both of these are going to be suitable for pretty much any use, whether it's for fun, for social media or even for professional purposes, they'll be able to get the job done. In addition to that, both of these phones are able to shoot in 8k, in the rear camera and in the front camera. The OnePlus 9 pro is limited to 1080p in the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra is limited to 4k, so I would give the overall edge to the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra, just because it has a higher max quality in the front-facing camera for video mode and an extra telephoto lens doesn't hurt as well, but the edge is super slight because on the other hand, the OnePlus 9 pro has a 50 megapixel ultra-wide camera, and this ultra-wide camera is really impressive, as well as far as performance goes, so they are really close. But if videos are important to you, then the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra is most likely. Going to have a bit of an edge internally.

Both of these phones are getting 12 gigabytes of ram with the Qualcomm snapdragon 888 processors. So I wouldn't say that one phone is necessarily going to be faster than the other. They have the same ram, the same processor as far as this goes one might pull up a web page faster than another under one specific circumstance. But remember when devices are this close, it's really not going to make a difference. Both of these phones are going to be able to do everything.

The other phone is able to do since they have the exact same processor. It's definitely not a factor that you would want to judge off of whether you would get one phone over the other. As far as the battery goes, we do have a little of a difference here. The OnePlus 9 pro has a 4500 William hour battery that supports watt fast charging and that Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra has a 5 000 William hour battery that supports 25 watt fast charging. So if you have a giant fast charger, then the OnePlus 9 pro is gonna charge faster at least but the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra has the biggest battery you can get and the fast charging is still good really who has a 65 watt fast charger anyway? If you do, then you might like the OnePlus 9 pro because of the fast charging it supports, but in the grand scheme of things the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra does have a larger battery now, in conclusion, which one of these phones is actually better.

This is gonna, be really close in a lot of areas. These phones are almost the same. They have pretty much the same display. Besides a tenth of an inch difference in size, the OnePlus 9 pro does have double the storage of the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra. I will give it that and the wireless charging capabilities on the OnePlus 9 pro are a little better.

When we get to the camera, I do think the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra has an advantage. It's just slightly better, with a better front-facing camera. As far as video goes and another telephoto lens, I do think the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra is a little better for photography and videography. Although the OnePlus 9 pro is close behind. As far as the processor goes, it's basically the same thing and for the battery excluding the fast charging the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra is a little better with a 5 000 William hour battery versus the OnePlus 9 pros 4500 William hour battery.

So at the end of the day, it really depends on what features are more important to you. If you want more storage, if you think you're really going to be using up all of that, then the OnePlus 9 pro is going to have an edge. It has double the storage of the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra, but at the same time, if you want a higher quality camera and a slightly larger battery, then the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra is gonna, be the better device, but at the end of the day, both of these phones are top of the line. Smartphones with pretty much all the latest features and top of the line technology in them. So if you have the budget for them, you're not going to go wrong with either of them, but I hope you guys enjoyed the video if you did be sure to leave a thumbs up and subscribe, and I'll see you in the next one.
