OnePlus 9 Pro Camera Review- Best OnePlus Camera ever, but is that enough?

Hello friends welcome to technique. This is normal here and in this video we're going to do a detailed camera review of the OnePlus 9 pro, so the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 pro were announced last week and both of these devices have great camera hardware, and they are made in partnership with Hasselblad. Hasselblad is one of the most popular company when it comes to camera lenses and photography, OnePlus 9 pro packs a 48 megapixel quad camera and a 16 megapixel punch hold selfie camera. So, let's see if the OnePlus 9 pro has improved in terms of camera. In terms of camera hardware, the OnePlus 9 pro comes with a 48 megapixel primary camera, which is a Sony mix 789 sensors with f-stop 1.8, aperture optical image, stabilization and 7p lens. The secondary camera is a 50 megapixel ultra-wide angle, camera with Sony, mix, 766 sensor and f 2.2 aperture. The third camera is an 8 megapixel telephoto lens with 3.3 x, zoom and f 2.4 optical image, stabilization and 5 p lens. The fourth camera is a mono with f 2.4 aperture the front selfie camera is a 16 megapixel Sony, mix 471 sensors with f 2.4, aperture and as enabled so, let's find out how good the camera is, especially with the Hasselblad partnership. So let's first have a look at the daylight shots here.

You can see that the OnePlus 9 pro produces good details and there is adequate sharpness levels too. The 48 megapixel sensor is made in partnership with Hasselblad and colors being calibrated to look more natural, but that's not the case here. In real time the color seems inconsistent on many occasions, while in some shots it produces good natural colors. Few others like this, the colors are a bit boosted and this clearly shows up also at times there is a tendency to saturate the sky. Colors and white balance also seems to be a bit off at times.

But, having said that, the OnePlus 9 pro is probably the best attempt by OnePlus till date in getting a good camera on their flagship. Smartphone. The dynamic range also seems quite good, and the sharpness results are also good, which is quite evident when you pixel peep. The phone also comes with an 8 megapixel telephoto lens capable of 3.3 x zoom, and this works quite well, and the colors are retained very well. But the downside is the sharpness lens of the 8 megapixel shooter and at 3.3 x zoom. You can definitely see noise creeping in the phone.

Has a 50 megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and this is the highlight of the camera setup. As you can take some stunning ultrawide captures of landscapes. The colors are good and there is good dynamic range and distortion is minimal and works really well. The sharpness levels are also pretty good. Moving on to the close-up shots, you can see that it produces good images with details and sharpness reveals, but once again the colors are inconsistent here.

The phone also supports macro mode, and this is automatically toggled, although you can also do it manually- and this is probably one of the best macrophotography ever on a one plus phone, but still not the best macro on a flagship smartphone. The details are great, and sharpness levels is impressive, and this time around it gets the colors mostly correct. Moving to the portraits the OnePlus 9 pro does impressive portraits. You can take portraits with telephoto lens as well, and there is a color difference in terms of portraits, but overall the quality is impressive, and the edge detection is good. Next, moving on to the low light images, the phone does good job in terms of Hindu lighting conditions or artificial light, but when light drops further in extreme conditions, you can clearly see noise levels are definitely on the higher side for a flagship smartphone in this price category.

But having said that, toggling, the night mode makes a huge difference as it brings in sharp sharper images, good details and lesser noise, but you need to make sure the hands are stable while using the night mode. Finally, the 16 megapixel selfie camera here you can see that the phone produces good selfies, although the skin tones are in accurate, but it will please most of the uses. The sharpness syllabus is quite okay, and dynamic range is good, since selfies are more of a personal choice. You can judge based on the clarity shown here. Phone also has portrait selfies and the edge detection is pretty good.

So this is the front facing camera sample taken with the OnePlus 9 pro, which can record videos in 1080p resolution at 60 fps. So you can judge yourself how good the clarity of the videos and also the audio output from the video recording now moving on to the video quality here, the phone can take 8k videos at 6, 30, fps and the quality is impressive. There are good details, colors are more or less accurate, and it is sharp too. The stabilization works really well here. The 4k 860 fps video also looks great once again with great stabilization and overall clarity.

The sharpness levels are also good going to the 4k at 30 fps. You can see some degradation in quality as the civilization starts to see some minor jerking here and there, but otherwise the quality seems okay. The phone has 1080p at 60 fps, and here the quality isn't the best, and you can see that video is not smooth, and you can also often see some stutters in the video playback. Finally, the 1080p at 30fps has good colors and sharpness lengths, but the stabilization and the overall quality isn't as good as what you see on the 4k videos. You can also use the telephoto lens for video, and you can see that the video looks a bit too soft when you zoom in which is quite understandable for an 8 megapixel telephoto lens.

The ultra-high handle camera can also do 4k at 30, fps and 60 fps and similarly 1080p resolution at 30 and 60 fps, and it does a perfect job in terms of quality and stabilization. The phone can also do slow motion at 240 fps at 1080p resolution and 120 fps at 720p resolution, and the quality looks quite okay. So this is the video portrait mode in the one plus nine plus so uh you can see now the background is being blurred, and you can just check how good the edge detection is in the video portrait mode. So do you think this is a perfect feature? Do let us know in the comment section, there is also nights cape video mode for recording videos in 1080p resolution in the low light conditions, and it works quite decent, although you can see a lot of noise creeping in, so that's the nights cape video mode on the OnePlus 9 pro. So summing up how good is OnePlus 9 pro camerae as a flagship device, the OnePlus 9 pro improves on the camera from last year's flagship, especially with the partnership with Hasselblad.

While there is a lot of improvement, it still is in the consistent camera in terms of overall performance, but OnePlus 9 pro is a versatile camera for sure this is probably the best one plus camera ever, but it still needs to improve to catch up with the likes of Samsung's s. Series we are hoping OnePlus will work on the camera with software updates.
