OnePlus 8T vs ROG Phone 3 Speed Test, PUBG Graphics - Is there a surprise?

Hey guys this is Cretan for gizmo times, and this is the quick speed test comparison of the OnePlus 8t with the ROG phone 3, two of the most powerful smartphones in the market. Right now, of course, the RJ phone 3 is powerful with this chipset when you compare that with the OnePlus 8t, because if we talk about the chipset that these come with, it's the Qualcomm snapdragon 865, plus on the kg phone three, while it's the 865 on the OnePlus 8t, and these are the scores. Basically, if you see the CPU and GPU, both are better on the ROG phone three, the GPU in fact, is much better. There's a difference of almost 30 000 points there and the memory score is better on the OnePlus 8t by a small margin, and then the CPU score is better by about 10 000, and it's only the clock speeds where these actually vary, but again that also matters quite a lot in these conditions in flagships. Of course, it does matter, but is it only about the chipset, but also about the refresh rate? So, let's now set both of them to the same refresh rate. If you go into the display settings and check out the refresh rate of them, we would try to set it to the same levels here if we go into.

If you go into the refresh rate here and also into this one 120 hertz, we are going to set it to 120 on both of them, so that there's no big difference noticed on either of them. Now, let's start with the sweetest comparison, starting with the boot speed of both of them, we'll restart the devices and see which one actually would restart faster power and restart. So now, let's see which one actually would take lesser time to boot up here, if you notice, the restarting icon itself took a few seconds for the RPG phone 3 and that's where the OnePlus 8t uh took up a bit of a speed, and it started rebooting faster. But let's see here, the rse403 is uh sound came in, and you can see it actually has booted up faster than the OnePlus 8t expected in a way, but it did to take time to actually switch off before restarting. But in the end the boot speed was faster on the Rh phone three.

Now we both have both of them on the airplane mode. There's an update on the rj403 we'll do that later, so there's uh airplane mode on both of them and both of them are on the same Wi-Fi network. Now these are a few applications that we are going to start here, one after the other to see which one loads up faster on both the smartphones and whether the 865 plus does matter or not, or is the 865 still good when you have a very good and smooth UI, such as the oxygen UI here, oxygen OS, so first, starting with the android benchmark, does load a little faster on the RPG phone 3, but considerably almost the same now with the Netflix app almost the same speeds on both of them. Now with the prime video. Here it did load a bit faster on the rsj403 next moving on to the Amazon application.

Again, it feels a bit I mean in the millisecond count, but still it feels a bit faster on the RJ phone three now moving towards ESPN we'll do the gaming later ESPN application again here as well. You see that difference between the RPG phone 3 and the OnePlus 8t with the ROG phone 3 seems a bit faster moving on to the social media applications, firstly starting with Facebook, almost the same and now with Twitter again, almost the same with the social media applications with the play store here, it's again almost the same and with the speed test application, it's going to be a speed test, not the speed of the app but the internet. Speed, since both of them are on the same network, will actually have both of them on the same network as well to test them out. So act 500 act 500, which is my primary uh broadband that I'm using here. We will do the test first on the OnePlus 8t.

We already did these tests to see how the history is and how the internet speed is, but we'll do a live test here. To show you how the speeds of both the devices are when we talk about the internet speeds, so just to give you an understanding. This is the act.500 Mbps connection that we're using- and this is on a satellite hub network, where I have a router very close here, and you see the speeds over there. Now moving on to the ROG phone three and the ping seems a bit high here, three millisecond four milliseconds really not much different, but we anyway do a couple of tests and then do the final confirmation. But let's see so here, the upload speeds seem a bit better on the roger phone through the ground speeds.

Uh seem a bit better on the OnePlus 8t, we'll do one re-test and then check out the history of these tests as well, to see whether this is a huge difference between the two devices, though it doesn't seem like there, would be any difference because with the connectivity options or the modem in the chipset, it's not really different in both the chipsets. Now, if that was the score on the OnePlus 8t, let's see what it would be on the rsg4. It rather fell down on the kg phone 3, which seems surprising, but again we do agree that internet speed has depended on the multiple devices that are being used around. So if we go into the history or the results or the previous results as well, you can see that it was much lesser on the one plus activated uh. That is on almost the same time for eleven four twelve, then four, twelve, four thirteen and four forty-three four forty-four so almost the same time and there were varying results, but in the end, uh it's faster once in a while on the OnePlus 8t once in a while on the RPG phone 3.

Now moving on to that gaming loading or the loading speeds of the two phones now starting PUBG mobile Korean variant on both of them, so the ROG phone 3 actually has the x mode, which enhances the performance, makes the phone much faster by increasing the flock speeds of the CPU and GPU. But does it really matter? Does it actually do the performance any difference? Does it really change that experience? We'll have to see that here, on the first time the OnePlus 8t loaded, the pub jumbo accordion variant faster and now, let's do the retest once again by closing down that particular application and reopening it one. Two three go so this time. As you can see, the ROG phones reloaded the game faster than the OnePlus 8t by a few seconds, and now this would be a final confirmatory test so closing down the applications on both the smartphones once again and one two three go so once again by a small margin but the RSA phone and check out what review the graphic settings possible here. If you go and check out the kg phone threes options, you have the option of 90 fps, which is now officially available for the non modulus phones as well, but surprisingly, the OnePlus phone itself.

The OnePlus 8t here, is not able to offer the 90 fps option right now for games like PUBG mobile, so it's still locked at 60 fps, while the ROG phone 3 is able to give that 90 fps so and that's an advantage here, at least for those who really care about gaming and this kind of things here. So here I would say, with the things that uh, that is like the app loading and even the game, loading and the gaming options. The RPG phone 3 clearly is faster and better, not just with the benchmark scores, of course, with the benchmark course. You know that the RSA phone 3's snapdragon, 865 plus, is offering a better performance, but in the end, with the actual user experience as well, it's going to be faster and for the day-to-day usage we're talking about flagships here, so there's no huge difference for a regular user. It doesn't really matter with those milliseconds of difference, but in the end for someone who does a lot of multitasking who's, a very heavy user, you should still consider the RPG phone 3 as a faster smartphone in these conditions.

So that's it guys. This was the speed test comparison of the OnePlus 8t and the kg phone 3 smartphones. I hope you like this video, if you like, do hit the like button and subscribe to more thanks for watching, see you in our next video.
