OnePlus 8T “Real Review” By Flossy Carter

Yo, what's up everybody, it's your boy floss back again with another video, and today we're going to take a look at the OnePlus 8t. Now pre-orders start today. This is 12 gigs of ram 256, gigs of storage, the North America version. Now they do have another one. That's eight gigs of ram 128 gigs of storage, but it's not going to be available in North America. Now this one comes in two different colors. You got aquamarine green and Luna silver, all right! So, let's go through all the specs for the display.

You got a 6.55 inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080 by 2400. Now that's 402 for the PPI patrol. You got gorilla gas 5 for protection on the front and on the back with an aluminum frame and the display has a 120 hertz refresh rate, I repeat: 120 hertz, refresh rate for the processor. You have the Qualcomm snapdragon 865 with the arena 650 GPU. What does that mean? In English flagship specs broke flagship specs.

Now it comes in either 8 or 12, gigs of ram 128 or 256, gigs of storage, no micro SD card slot for expandable memory. Now it's running android 11 with oxygen OS skin. On top now you got a 4 500 ml amp battery that features warp charge 65. So that's a 65 watt fast charging, brick! That's going to charge your phone from zero to 100 in 39 minutes for the cameras on the rear. You got a quad setup, so you got a 48 megapixel wide angle, a 16 megapixel ultra-wide, a 5 megapixel macro and a 2 megapixel monochrome lens on the front.

We got a 16 megapixel camera lens. Now you also got dual stereo speakers that feature Dolby Atmos. You got Bluetooth, 5.1 NFC face unlock. You got an on-screen fingerprint sensor and yes, you got an always on display. I repeat: one plus phones now have an always on display.

Now I know what you're saying: what's the difference between the OnePlus 8 pro and the OnePlus 8t, let's break it down real quick, OnePlus 8t, no IP rating, so the phone is not water. Resistant, OnePlus, 8 pro IP rating phone is water resistant. Next, no quad HD display OnePlus 8 pro quads HD display OnePlus 8t, no quad HD display next no expandable memory. Neither one has that next wireless charge, OnePlus 8t no wireless charge, OnePlus 8 pro wireless charge is trolling and lastly, PowerShell also known as reverse wireless charging. OnePlus 8t, no reverse wireless charge.

Design comes in cyan. Okay, here we go. This one looks really nice has that sandstone sandpaper kind of feel to it little OnePlus logo, buttons, cutouts buttons, cutouts, let's slap this one on now. This one has nice amount of relativity slam board certified. There's all your cutouts everything lines up, but this one just has that nice sandpaper feel to it.

Nice, texture! Alright, I like this one. So this is the sandstone bumper case just keep it moving. We got one more next up. We got the quantum bumper case now. This one is also premium protection, durable, fit unique design all right.

The quantum bumper case all right. This one is all about the quantum mechanics you can see on the outside. Oh, this one is nice, flexible, CPU style material slap this one on oh check this one out. Okay, I'm feeling this has that uh GPU, look in the background kind of looks 3d almost one plus logo, all kind of gizmos and circuits, underneath it that quantum look. There's your cutouts buttons, cutouts buttons, nice amount of creativity slam boy certified.

So we got the sandstone bumper case and the quantum bumper case. I like this one better. Let's keep it moving all right now, let's do a quick size comparison with the OnePlus 8t and the OnePlus 8 pro now I know white shoes were trolling. So let me just say what I said one more time: the difference between the pro and the t. The pro has an IP rating.

So its water resistant has a quad HD, display wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. You don't have any of those features on the OnePlus 8t side by side. The pro is a little taller about the same weight. Both of them feel like a premium build quality again. This one is water resistant.

This one isn't all right. So now, let's talk about build quality now you all know I got to say it feels so good in the hands. Ladies, you know the procedures. I love. How phones are starting to have these frosted back glass panels? No fingerprints on this one gorilla, glass, 5 on the back gorilla glass, 5 on the front, the aluminum frame, the phone is lightweight, and it definitely feels premium.

I love it next, a couple of different ways: you can open up the device now you can swipe up put in your pattern. Your pin next you got face unlock bong, look how fast that is. Bang, let's get one more and of course you got your on-screen fingerprint sensor, which works incredibly fast.100 of the time no lag at all. Now the side note check out the always on display hard to see on this camera, but I'll show you a few different ones. Yes, one plus finally has always on displays again you all.

Remember they used to have them back on deck check out that fingerprint sensor without hitting the power button. Just like that nice little live wallpaper animation. I love it now. The front facing camera, just a tiny little pinhole, basically bezel-less display all right.6.55, inches, fluid AMOLED panel looks amazing, but not to mention 120 hertz refresh rate. Take it over to the gram.

Look at the scrolling speeds, unbelievable all right. So let's walk through the OS real quick. Now, of course, you got dark mode. I'm going to leave it on light mode, just for the video. So you got all your basic toggles NFC.

You got zen mode. You got reading mode, got vision, comfort, take it over to settings okay, so you got NFC, you got tap and pay. Furthermore, you got print in Chromebook nearby share two android devices. Furthermore, you can share your images, share your files, and you got android auto. Okay, let's keep it moving.

Let's go to display advanced refresh rate, 120 hertz, beautiful love, it, let's see, screen calibration. You got vivid natural and advanced blah, blah blah front camera display. Now. Look if you don't like that pinhole, and you just want to have no notch at all. Then you can rock it like this, but that's going to give you a George Jefferson, forehead right.

You don't want that. Just go with the pinhead pin head, go with the pinhole right, go with the pinhole lens. Look how small it is very unobtrusive, big words alert. Let's see anything else, I got an ambient display, okay, always on display. So now you can have off schedule or all day always on display.

Let's see anything else, we need to check out blah blah blah. No, that's pretty much it is on that. Let's go to customizations! Now, here's all your different wallpapers got a bunch of different live ones: clock style, here's your always on displays! So if you want to you can have this one, you can have the classic old school. You all remember this was the one plus always on display. I used to love that one got a bunch to choose from go crazy, discard the changes.

You can change your system, icons all right. So if you want the round, you got square, teardrop or round rectangle got different, icon, packs, oxygen and hydrogen right, and you can change your fonts simple and straightforward. Let's go to sound and vibrations. Okay, now you got dual stereo speakers that feature Dolby, Atmos you all know I'm going to do. The official Flossie call the sound test.

Just calm down, there's adobe Atmos! You got three different settings: dynamic, uh, movie and music. If you plug in your headphones you'll be able to adjust some settings also, you got live, caption turn it on and off. If you want to go crazy media volume put everything on max buttons and gestures. You got your alert slider, so the top is solid. The middle is vibrated.

Bottom is ring. You got quick gestures, all right. Three finger screenshots bong, just like that, got double tap to wake the phone got your music controls. You all know all these features already got it all right. Now your world start hit pop button.

Double click: the power button: there's your camera! Alright! So if you got the phone in your pocket, oh look at shoes, doing something cute double tap the power button. Gotcha just like that. Let's go back to settings! Sometimes you got to take a break and jump in the real world. Now the side note, if you look at my always on display it's hard to see, but it says 13 unlocks, so I got a digital. Well-being always on display. Tell you how many times you unlocked your phone so once it gets to about a hundred that means I've been unlocking my phone too much. Let me calm down.

One thing that I love about: OnePlus phones, the smoothness. This feels like, if you got some warm butter on the table and just put your finger in the go like that nice and smooth that's how this foam feels no lag super smooth.

Let's do some splits screen multitasking. Let's take it over to YouTube on the bottom apple on the top. So now we can watch the Apple event and shop for some apple accessories, real nice all right. So now, let's take a look at the camera. Now say you happen to be up in a dollar discount store, buying, 12 cans of tuna fish because your ass is broke. You just spent 750 bucks on an OnePlus 8t, and you see two dudes getting ready to start fighting grab your phone hit the power button twice. That'll. Take you right to your camera.

Yell out world star start recording, so the power button twice: that's your world star, hip-hop button! Alright! So let's go through the camera's features. You got time-lapse video. Now, of course you can do that in wide angle, or you can zoom in up to 10 times. Zoom you got panorama, you got slow motion. You got video which you can zoom up to 10 up to what eight yep up to eight times zoom for the video.

You got photos wide angle, all the way up to 10 times zoom you got portrait mode and standard or wide angle. Furthermore, you got nights cape. Furthermore, you can also put that in wide angle, and you got pro mode change. Your white balance, your shutter speed go crazy. Now, let's go back to video, take it over to settings max resolution, 4k 60 frames per second alright.

So let's take a look at some test, pictures and videos all right. So now, let's do a little of gaming. Now, of course, I can play asphalt 9. This is a snapdragon 865 with the 120hz refresh rate. You know it's going to run smooth, but I want to play something a little more fun, so we got dirt 4.

This is a great place. I'm I'm going to zoom in a little so yeah. I don't see me mashing buttons here we go. Furthermore, I love this little controller setup all right here we go yup all right, let's go! So, let's get a feel for how the car slows down, and you'll see how it decelerates once you're done. So, overall, on a scale of 1 to 10, the OnePlus 8t is a major major major go 12 gigs of ram 256 gigs of storage, a 120 hertz, refresh rate 4 500 m battery with 65 watt, fast charging, quad, camera setup, 750 bucks, as bob barker would say, the price is right. Now, if you want the big boy version, you're going to pay the big boy price, but if you don't care about an IP rating, you don't care about the quad HD display you don't care about wireless charge. Save some money go with the 8t.

If you bought a Google Pixel 5 go get your money back all right. This one doesn't even have the latest processor and GPU the camera's dope, but look at the build quality. Look at the difference for yourself all right: the OnePlus 8t. The t stands for trouble all right. If you bought this pixel 5 you're in trouble go get your money back anyway.
