OnePlus 8T 5G | Why didn't I buy this before now? #OnePlus8T5G

All right guys welcome back to another video shaman j. If ever a phone got overlooked, especially by me, it was probably the OnePlus 8t bars off the top. So I went ahead and picked up the OnePlus 8t 5g um, it's total spur at a moment, was bored waiting for another device to come in and decided to go ahead and grab this one so um. This will be a quick unboxing and a quick run through uh. I will use this obviously for a little, but I'm working on some other stuff uh but um. I think there are some stickers in here too.

Furthermore, I saw yeah look at that. That's pretty dope ain't if it's pretty dope, so it's never too late, and it's never too late to settle on things. So here is this uh device right here, the plus seven or one plus eight t uh. This is it man, so this is a phone that I generally I genuinely just skipped over this device. Um didn't have much interest in it.

Uh had an eight when this came out. I believe, and I've always owned a seven pro, but after walking through the store and looking around, I said you know what I'm going to grab this man uh. So I went on ahead and grabbed it. This is the T-Mobile version, uh and um. I just feel like.

I should probably give this phone a chance. OnePlus has always done bad on cameras as far as the way they represent 65 watt warp charger. I mean this is crazy uh, but you know. Nonetheless, every phone deserves a chance. I've seen some things or people are saying like this.

Is that middle child that they just don't understand? Why uh? But I don't think so. I think this is a heavy contender uh for today's market, and it's just a shame that it's such a good price uh, and it's definitely getting overlooked. Uh, but um 6.55 inch GDP display uh, 48, megapixel shooter on the back and uh. I believe this has a 4500 William hour battery inside 12 gigs of ram uh. It is it's rolling right.

I like this new startup uh the way they have this here. So I'm going to go ahead and get this actually set up uh and get my self-signed in, and then I'm going to come back uh, and we're going to talk some more, and we'll take a look at the software and just everything about it, see how much storage and stuff is in here, and we'll get this ball rolling. So let's go all right guys so uh here we are got this thing all set up. My applications are all in I'm good to go. Now, let's take a look through the device here.

Let me crank this brightness up a little more, a little dim for me. I don't know about you but uh. Let's go ahead and uh walk through this thing, so this device actually has 256 gigs of storage at the T-Mobile store. I was looking at something I saw something at 128, gigs of storage, and I was like this thing had 256, but it in fact does have 256, as you can see, with all my applications installed, I still have 200 plus 223 or something like that. Uh 226 of storage left after installing all of these applications.

So I haven't done anything to the settings. Actually, this is what it looks like right now. So I think this is pretty dope. This device again has a 6.65 inch display, and it is a 48 megapixel shooter on the back 12 gigs of ram. Let me double-check that ram son.

Let me go to about the ram will be down here in about 12 gigs of ram yeah wow 12 gigs of ram 120 hertz fluid display screenshot for the gram got it um, snapdragon 865, I mean 4500 millibar battery. This thing is beast: android 11 I mean wow yeah for 750 dollars. I think this is probably going to be a smooth purchase for me. So um you got to cut out the top. Let me see this thing has stereo speakers on here.

Let me check some specs over here offline here speakers speaker, sound stereo speakers, whoa yeah man like I said this was one that I pretty much just ignored. Based on my other OnePlus experiences, I knew I would have a good experiences with a fast phone uh, and you know this one is probably not going to be any exception. So taking a look at the settings here, this is dope again. I didn't do any of this right here. This is just how it came out of the box, so you got your Wi-Fi, your network and stuff like that.

You got your Bluetooth and the data connections and everything NFC on here uh. This is loaded up. Man uh! You got your display and you have to set. I set it for 10 minutes, let's go into advanced and then 120 hertz. There you go.

I got it set to 120 hertz, and that is where it's going to stay. I, like my displays on vivid, but there is natural advanced you can really set it up, but vivid is nice and punchy for me front camera display area. This is where you can chop it off or put it on it's up to you, I like to have it turned on. I don't want to waste that space apply uh after display for the screen. This is where you just put apps in the full screen display vision, comfort.

This is something I don't remember seeing. Oh, this is probably going to turn it off like when you're doing something, so dark mode is, is on right now, uh, vibrant color effects definitely want that on who wouldn't want a vibrant, color effect on their device. I don't know why I wouldn't emit display tap to show. Let's do that, and then you got uh display scaling. It's all default.

D4 the size of everything is good. The status bar display network speed. I like that. For some reason I don't know why I like that. So the battery you can do it a circle.

You can do hide. You just have the percentage, you can add a bar. So let's just turn off the battery right there I got 39 up. There's really no need to do that, and I also like to have the seconds in my clock. For some reason.

I don't know why its certain things. You know, I don't know what it is, but I like it like that so um this is the icon manager right here. This is all the things up top. Let me swipe down, and then you've got clock as a screen. Saver, that's good all right! So then you got customizations.

This is where I would go ahead and change things like um. These are all the default things here for the uh fingerprint reader and everything like that. It's pretty dope, so we'll back up out of there. This is the clock style. It's got all.

This is pretty nice right here! Look at this son! Oh, that's! That's pretty clean right! There inside you got the default. You got this joint right here. You got the numbers out. Okay! I like this one right here that look gradient. It's a bunch of different uh, different clocks.

You can do on here. So let's save that one. I kind of think that's fire right there. So as far as the walls papers go, here's all the wallpapers and stuff that you have in here pretty dope. That's a lot.

These are live wallpapers. It's got a little crinkly thing at the top right there yeah and these are the non-live wallpapers over here uh you got the round. Icons, as you can see, you got all these different shapes for the icons accent color set to this version right here again, I didn't change that I'm not going to change it because I actually really like it icon pack. That's one thing about the OnePlus devices. You can actually change the icon pack without installing any kind of special launcher, and that's that's the good part about it.

Font and everything you got the OnePlus, never settle joint. So that's good sounding vibration. You know what's up with that uh buttons and navigation you can see. I have it to the navigation bar, that's the way. I prefer it took me a long time to get used to um uh navigation man, so the thing about the power button.

Furthermore, I think it's crazy when you now they got these selections when you press and hold the power button, it goes to different things, but I like mine on the power menu. Furthermore, I want to power it off if I'm hitting the power button, double-click the power button. Furthermore, I don't like that on my camera. Some people like that. I don't like that, and obviously your alert slider and everything up there, apps and notifications.

We already know, what's up with this: let's see you know your default apps and everything and what you want you know. So, let's turn these off right here. Those things always wake me up in the middle of the night, all right lock, screen security. You already know what that is: privacy, personal data, location, blah blah blah battery storage man. I can't believe this phone is, the price is set, and it's got 256 of storage for 12 gigs of ram when you just look at specs for things, man OnePlus, always kind of wins in that area.

Overall, when you're talking about stuff in the U. S. , they beat up on everybody when it comes to that. So you got your utilities in here. Your quick launch and things like that.

Parallel apps, blah blah blah. You see that before so speedy phone like I knew it would be um apps and everything open up fast uh, it's a good look man. I don't foresee myself not liking this device uh, because it's an it's a stock, android experience. It flows right in line with the pixel devices and that's just how it is so beautiful display here we're gonna, clean this up and look at this, and I actually do like this. I thought I wasn't going to like this color, it's actually pretty dope, though it's, I got to give it up.

It's actually pretty clean I'll, be fair. I kind of like it. I like it a lot. So that's a walkthrough of let's go. You know what let's get in here, real quick.

Let's look at the camera settings. We don't need my location for my camera son, so you can go up here. You can click 12 and 48 right there that lets. You know what you're doing when you click 48, though you see all your options go away, so you got your wide screen. Uh I mean you got your ultra-wide telephoto and everything its pretty dope.

They got all of this on this device. You got your video. You got your portrait, let's go into settings for video, because I'm sure I got um 4k 60. There. It is 4k 60.

You also have 4k 60 uh 30 seconds for cinema. Oh man, that's dope right there, that's dope screenshot for the gram, that's nice! That is nice, and it's in 21x9 too. Really dope can't wait to test these cameras out, though, can't wait to test. It can't wait to test it. So, let's change this to burst, photo when you long press the shutter, um, keeping high efficiency off slow motion.1080P is 240 frames per second, that's nice, tripod long nights cape! That's dope! Gotcha histogram, horizontal reference lines, ultrawide lens shot on one plus watermark. Yes, all right! So we're looking pretty good in here.

So you got slow motion. You got panorama, you got time-lapse, regular photos! You got your portrait, you got your nights cape! Furthermore, you got your pro mode, glad they got pro mode because a lot of phones don't have pro mode and that's just kind of sad. So that's what you're looking at uh for the camera and um again. This hardware is actually feeling perfect in the hand uh. It's amazing.

They can fit a 4 500 William hour battery in this device, and some companies are still putting smaller batteries in there saying that they can't fit them because of components and things like that. But this is pretty dope, I'm pretty happy. I think I'm gonna. I know I'm going to like this. Furthermore, I mean it's a stock, android experience and look at that wallpaper man.

Furthermore, I love that. Furthermore, I love that wallpaper. That's that wallpaper all right man, so I'll see you guys in the next video. It's your man jay hope you guys enjoyed a walkthrough of the OnePlus 8t plus five g, one plus eight t, plus five g. It's crazy look right there, one plus eight t, plus five g.

You thought I was playing when I was reading it all right. So I'll see you in the next one take care. I hope you enjoyed.
