OnePlus 8 Pro vs Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro vs Samsung S20 Ultra - CAMERA TEST COMPARISON

Let's get underway, we have the s20 ultra on the right, the one plus a pro in the middle. They meet 10 pro on the left and just how much improvement have OnePlus made in their camera system, because we have two new images: sensors, the ultra head and the main camera slightly deeper, richer colors on the s20 I notice. Now, moving to this shot, I noticed straight away. The tree in the background is exposed really well on the OnePlus 8 Pro. It looks to be using dynamic range here for sure compared to the s20 ultra see just the difference in exposure of the dark parts. The s20 ultra is quite dark, and it crushed those dark areas.

I also noticed the OnePlus 8 Pro is leaning towards a yellowish or warmer tone in its colors, which I actually kind of liked. That was the ultra-wide camera. By the way, this is the main lens with shooting on now really crisp good-looking images of these phones again I noticed the OnePlus 8 Pro has quite a warm color tone. The s20 ultra is leaning towards a slightly cooler or bluish color tone in its white balance. This is the zoom camera on all the phones.

You can get five times room straight in the camera, app on both of the other phones on the OnePlus 8 Pro. It goes into three times: zoom the high megapixel five times optical zoom on the s20 ultra stands out here. It is crisp sharp and it looks perfect. The 10 pro is a little softer overall and the OnePlus 8 pro even softer than the other two and still doesn't get to the same. Zoom range.

Zoom range is definitely not a feature of the OnePlus 8 Pro, it's just something that one-plus have not worked on or thought about really, over and above what they have already given us in other phones. Whereas you look at the s20 ultra and the temp Road, they have specifically gone all out to offer us longer. Zoom ranges up to 10 times, hybrid zoom in the 10 Pro, and then that massive 100 times zoom in the s20 ultra. So for sure, if Zoom is really important to you in the camera apps, it is just not something that one-plus have put in the phone they've concentrated on other areas for sure we will see more details with all the cameras and zoom in a second I had to tap to focus on a couple of occasions with this statue. I don't really know why not a big issue, though overall, and I didn't have any focus issues with the phone.

Apart from this one, a massive amount of natural background blur or bouquet on all of these phones, they all have huge sensors. This is another one of those occasions where you're shooting off the main camera in good lighting conditions, and you're just going to get good-looking photos in conditions like this, with these expensive camera phones. So, let's test out the zoom for video you've got five times: periscope zoom on the s20 ultra and when you zoom into that five times it switches over to that lens. So you get super crispy eat sharp optical zoom from the camera when shooting video. The other two phones when you zoom in you, are cropping in on the main sensor, and so you automatically lose detail colors and everything when you start cropping in on that sensor, it does stand out for me that the s20 ultra is pulling ahead here.

It is five times zoom for video. It's nice on the 1+8 Pro, though, that you can switch between the lenses very easily. You can go into the zoom, the main that ultra-wide without having to stop recording on the meet em Pro. If you want to switch to the ultra ride, you actually have to stop, recording and then switch lenses and start recording again, which definitely isn't the best. If we just switch out to the ultra-wide camera, you can see how far away they actually were and then the quality of the 1+8 Pro comes into its own, because you've got this really high quality.

Forty 8 mega pixel wide image sensor. That is very good at both photo and video in that wide-angle. That is a definite plus point for the one plus a pro over the other two checking out the zoom again for photo, and it's the same story. The Xiaomi and the s20 ultra having specific hardware to get better results in zoom get better results in zoom. This is the five times on the other two three times on the one plus a pro you can see.

We've already lost some detail, some colors. It looks a little washed out and a little ropey overall compared to the other two for sure ten times zoom and the other two keep really crisp detail. You can definitely see there's a difference in the resolution and just the way the images look definitely richer on the other two macro modes on the one plus eight Pro uses that I'll provide sense of. Oh, this phone has a trick up its sleeve with this ultra-wide camera. It is definitely worth it.

It's a really high quality image sensor, good for video, so yeah, an ultra-wide camera is really taking a step-up on the 1 plus a pro for sure, definitely different to other phones, including the 10, and the s 20 ultra. If Zoom is important for you, then let's just go through the zoom ranges that ultra-wide here going into the main image sensor here and then a 5 times zoom actually three times on the 1 plus a pro into 10 times. Zoom I already feel like the 1 plus 8 pro is falling apart a little compared to the other 2 at 20 times. It's definitely noticeable going into 30 times, zoom I believe all three of the phones have gone past the point of no return in terms of quality 40 times here and 50 times on the phones and then obviously you know that the s20 ultra goes to 100 times, but you can actually read the site and it was so far away. It's pretty impressive.

I know it looks like an old painting, but it is quite impressive to get that amount of zoom. Xiaomi phones always try to lift shadows, and so you can see that the very dark part of the image inside that tunnel is very bright on Limit 10 that works to its disadvantage in night modes, though, when it does introduce a ton of noise, and we will see night mode towards the end of the video. So moving on to some selfies and selfie video, my personal preference here goes from right to left in terms of just what suits my I'm talking objectively I think the two on the left have gone slightly too aggressive on the beauty and softening and lightening of my face and not leaving many natural details and shadows in there as much as I would like, and what's the stabilization like for video, we know the s20 ultra has very good stabilization on that selfie camera. Let's switch over to the 1 plus 8 Pro, pretty good I would say, but you can see the beauty modes and the lightening of my skin, not a big fan of that personally. The Shame means M pro.

This phone is $1000, and it has absolutely no image stabilization whatsoever on the selfie camera. Just it's just not good enough for that phone at that price, very difficult situation, this one because I was backlit, so we're checking out just how good the dynamic ranges of these selfie cameras. I noticed that the OnePlus 8 pro selfie camerae doesn't have a very wide angle. You can see the other. Two phones have a much wider angle, so you get slightly more in the shot, just something to notice testing out the high megapixel mode.

This is normal image mode now, switching to high megapixel mode here, not much change. You would see unless we zoom in so 400%, and I noticed that the OnePlus a pro seems to keep a bit richer detail a bit richer color overall than the meet em pro for sure. Even though the meat Emperor has a high resolution, I kind of prefer the colors on the OnePlus a pro. So what can we say about the OnePlus? A pro I've really liked the main, and I'll try cameras, they're, just perfect quality. It doesn't have the zoom range of the s20 ultra or the meet em probe.

I! Think they keep Richard detail in zoom. Have a longer zoom range, all the way up to 10 times even 15 times, on the mean turn pro you can get to about 20-25 times on the s20 ultra and still keep a perfect amount of detail. Overall, it is just not a strength of the OnePlus 8 Pro though, but in terms of resolution of the main image sensor and the ultra-wide dynamic range, colors I think it's all really, really good. OnePlus did say that they actually have some enhanced HDR this time around for video, so they put more exposures into one too apparently give us better results with very backlit scenes exactly like this one and to be honest, I kind of agree with them. It's doing a perfect job overall, so yeah I believe OnePlus on that one.

The dynamic range overall between the bright parts and the shadows, I think for photo and video off the main and ultra cameras is really decent, I also notice. In general, the colors are a bit warmer, certainly than the s20 ultra. They are just more orange and warm at overall, but anyway, let's get to night mode and see how the phones do it's almost impossible for smartphones at night. There just isn't enough light, and they can't do a good job, so they have to push up the ISO, which means you get all this noise overall. This is normal photo mode and let's just switch into night mode and see how that changes things.

Definitely a better exposure, dynamic range in the shop, so this is non-light mode, a pretty dark scene, not really very good-looking or contrast in any way really switching tonight mode on the phones. The s20 ultra stands out. For me, it's really punchy. There's definite contrast. There HDR's working really, really well on that phone, something that the s20 ultra and the OnePlus 8 pro have is night mode on the ultra-wide camera and yeah.

It definitely does a good job. It's very useful, to have that the meet em Pro doesn't have night mode on the ultra camera. The s20 ultra goes one better, though you can get night mode on the five times, zoom telephoto, so you can get shots like this, so another advantage for the s20 ultra. This is something the s20 ultra. Has that the other two don't have night mode? Selfies are looking very muddy there just isn't enough light they're having to boost the signal too much, and it's just very muddy overall, but in video I'm kind of impressed with the 1 plus a pro selfie camera.

It does just stand out for me compared to the other two in terms of the contrast and the colors on this scene subscribe for the latest tech news and videos. That's it for now, but I'll see you in the next one.
