Official Pixel 2 XL Case Review By zollotech

Hi everyone Aaron here for Solo Tech- and this is the pixel to excel case. I picked this up the other day because well, if you saw my Google Pixel to review, I actually have a chip in the finish and I, really like using phones without any case on them and I like the feel of this. But I thought I'd pick up the case just because it chipped I have no idea how it happened. So I'll use this with the case for a while and I have the other version as well on loan from Verizon, and this has no issues, so it might be a little harder coding than we have on the white one either way. I picked up the case and there's a couple different varieties. This is the one I chose, but you see it's a fabric case, and I've seen some other reviews or written reviews anywhere where a lot of people say this is their favorite case.

So I thought I'd check one out, so it's about $40 I picked it up from the Google store, Google, Play, Store and inside it says, fabric may stain hand wash only so that's something you don't see every day, but that's all you get with the case and for your $40, you get a microfiber lining. You've got this a woven, I think it's cotton fabric, it feels pretty good in the hands, and it feels very much I guess like a new shirt, and then it starts to wear over time. So it starts to get softer, which I really appreciate. So you've got this unique color here, and it carries over to the button here, and I really wish they would have kept this orange or creamily or whatever you want to call it, but this looks pretty good too. So let me pop the case on, and it's flexible before, I put it on it's a flexible case, but it feels like it would provide a little of cushion if you were to drop it.

So let me just put this in here, and you'll see on the back. This is what it looks like with the case on this particular version. So you, the white, shows through here the black up here, and it has a nice big cutout for your camera and your flash and then this little Google logo, instead of being Chrome, now feels rubbery. So as a rubberized texture, so it doesn't necessarily feel more drippy than the phone itself. It's kind of like you picked up a shirt, and it's got that sort of slipperiness to it.

So I'm not going to say it's more drippy, but it's got a different feel to it. Now. The button itself feels very much like you're just pushing the normal button and the volume button is integrated here. So it's there, it's just a little bump, and it feels again just like you're pushing the volume button itself. Nothing on this side, nothing on the top of this I'm going to cut out for the microphone and then on the bottom.

You just have a cutout for your USB-C port. Now, as far as lay on the table protection, there's very little. So if you are afraid of getting your screen scratched or damaged, or you drop your phone, a lot you'll probably want to put a protective screen protector on here. You're not gonna, get a lot of lay on the table protection. There is a little, but it's definitely touching the table as well.

When you put your finger down on the fingerprint sensor, it takes a little of getting used to because it is a different depth than you're used to if you're not using a case. So you just have to push a little more, but it's easily easy enough to position your finger there, because now you've got a big cutout. So that's just about it for the case, there's not a lot more, but it's easy enough to use. It feels good in the hand it does take a little of getting used to as fabric is not the normal case material and there are a few other options as well. They make it for both sizes, but I thought I'd just pick this one up is my own personal case for this particular phone I'd love to hear what you have to say about this case, though, in the comments below, if you haven't used one, or you're thinking of getting one I'd love to hear what your thoughts are on it and if you've gotten one, do you still like it?
