Nokia 6.1 Plus (X6) vs 5.1 Plus (X5) Speed Test After Android 9 Pie Update By Eric Okafor

Hey guys, it’s Eric here and this is a really quick speed test between the Nokia X6 aka 6.1 Plus and the Nokia X5 aka 5.1 Plus. Now these 2 look very identical but vary in price and some key specs. Let’s take a look at all the relevant specs for this test and start with the boot up test. Nokia X5 booted up first in 32 seconds with the Nokia X6 coming in 37 seconds later which is pretty slow generally speaking. I closed all the running apps before this test. Let’s begin with twitter.

X5 opened Twitter faster Instagram. X6 opened instagram faster Facebook. X5 opened Facebook faster Snapchat. X5 opened snapchat faster Playstore. X5 opened play store faster.

Youtube. X6 opened youtube slightly. Geekbench. X5 opened geekbench faster. We have higher single and multi-core scores on the Nokia X6Antutu benchmarks.

X6 opened Antutu faster. On Antutu, X5 got higher scores than the X6 which is pretty inconsistent with geekbench results. Skipping the games row for now. Snapseed. X6 opened Snapseed slightly faster Camera.

X5 opened camera slightly faster Messages. Pretty much a draw Settings. Nokia X5 opened settings slightly faster. Speed test. Pretty much a drawTested both on the same network and X6 got higher upload speeds while the X5 got higher download speeds Jumia App.

X6 opened Jumia App faster. Let’s go ahead and load up some games now. Smash Hit. X5 opened smash hit faster PUBG. X5 opened PUBG faster.

Subway surf. X5 opened subway surf faster. Temple Run 2. X5 opened temple run 2 faster So far in terms of day to day usage, the Nokia X6 falls short when compared with the X5 and Yes X6 hangs way more frequently. I have actually not had the X5 hang on me yet.

The Nokia X6 however comes at a higher price because of it’s FHD display and slightly better camera which i’d be talking about in my review coming soon.
