Coolpad Legacy Unboxing (Metro by T-Mobile)

Hey guys this is Mike from be tech reviews here and today is the unboxing and overview of the cool pet legacy from Metro by T-Mobile. Hey everyone. Welcome back to my channel. So here is the cool pad Legacy by Metro by T-Mobile, and I was actually sent this phone from Col Pat America after getting in contact with them over the past couple of weeks here, and I was lucky enough to have them. Send me out this unit here for a review, so just for reference, though guys I. This is the first time I, actually unbox and open a Metro buy a T-Mobile phone, so I want to give a cool pad America a big shout out for sending this out to me, and I'm, hoping that you know once I get this going, that you all can check this phone out for yourself and hopefully, it'll give you know future consumers a reason to either buy this or not buy this right.

So again, let's get the unboxing going guys again. I have my trusty knife here and let you know that's, but before we cut things open and what now, let's take a look at the back and let's just kind of go over the field of view of specs here really quick again, it's called the cool pad legacy, 4G LTE enabled, and it's got Android. It's got a six point. Three-inch F HD Plus display it has a 16 megapixel and five megapixel main camera, which is the rear, a 13, megapixel front, camera Wow. It's got 32 gigs of internal memory and 3 gigs of ram.

So you know again all of this packed into one a really nice budget device which I believe is under 150 dollars if I'm not correct on that, but again a cool pet legacy, phone SIM card, USB, type-c charger and Quick, Start, Guide, etc. Coming into the box here guys. So again, thanks for staying with me, I'm going to go ahead and get this opened up for you guys again, it's its sealed on both sides here. So hopefully I don't stab myself with this knife here very nice boxing I mean. Definitely you don't see a lot of boxes like this come from phones nowadays.

So, let's let me go ahead and get this down a little and let's go ahead and get the unboxing going for you guys and I hope you guys, like the purple in the background right, I kind of tried to change the illumination on that just for heck of it. So here we go here is the actual phone itself. Let's go ahead and pop that out, and before I actually unveil the phone itself again. We're gonna just check out, see what's inside the box, so again cool pack, a legacy Quick Start Guide. Do people ever really look at the guides, a metro by T-Mobile SIM card, so I might actually decide to get this activated just to test out Metro by T-Mobile's service I do get paid in a few days, so I might check that out.

Let's take a look here, it looks like a charging. Brick I am not sure if this is a fast charger or not I'll go into more detail on the review again. This is just an unboxing, video and USB type-c cable. See what else is in there just packing bubbles and, of course right there is your SIM cards or SIM card removal tool, so I'm going to go ahead, just put all that back in I'm going to put the SIM card over here so that let's get to the nitty-gritty guys and again excuse the shakiness on the actual tripod here, I'm moving my camera, so here it is here, is the cool pad legacy all the way around right? Let's take a look so, first of all my first impressions of this phone is its pretty big and in size, 6.3 inch touch display, I, have pretty decent sized hands, and you guys can see here that my fingers cannot even go all the way around this very, very solidly built phone, though I can tell you this much. It has a very good feel and weight to it and again, let's take a look at this really quick again, it says front facing camera proximity: sensors right there, volume keys right here on the side, so you can see here.

You know it's got that volume, rocker and keys, etc. Like that see, if I can get that to focus here, if not no worries guys again on the bottom, you have your USB type-c cables or USB ports. You have dual speakers by the way. Let's see, can I get that's a focus area, so yeah again to speaker girls down there, but for the most part every time I see you want to see this in a phone. Usually only one of these actually works, so we'll see, if that's not the case, for the cool pad legacy.

Here and again, you know just information back here again, it's wrapped around and plow dick. So let me go ahead and get this thing started, but again guys. This thing is a beautiful phone by the way for a phone, that's under a hundred and fifty dollars. I am just genuinely shocked on how good the build quality of this is and let's go ahead and let's go ahead and peel this off just for you guys just so we can kind of get that going here. Oh man, all right, I'm gonna, put this over here for now, and you can see here.

The screen just looks it's very smooth and slick and again I, don't know what type of glass they're using here you know, usually for the newer phones, its Gorilla Glass 3 there we go guys. So let me go ahead and get this started. Let me get it set up, and then I'll walk you guys through the UI and interface here. Okay, we look at that. Little beautiful metro by T-Mobile.

Okay, now we'll go ahead and skip forward to the setup here. Welcome back again and so I already got. The phone set up here took a little. I got the fingerprint set up, and I tried getting the facial recognition software to work, but for whatever reason, I don't know if it's the lighting in my room etc. like that, but it could not get my face to recognize on the facial recognition, so I'm just going to go ahead and skip that for now, but right out of the box again, this phone is very smooth.

Obviously it's probably going to be checking for updates over here. It's already saying it's checking for about 20 plus updates over here. Right now. I just have it connected to Wi-Fi, so now bit no biggie there again. This is just the unboxing of the phone, but man guys just all around this phone.

It's huge I actually had to move the camera back. Just to get this going, but again, like small physical features like you can see that there is a bit of a chin-up here, especially on the bottom. It's not a deal-breaker for me, though, especially for phones in 2019, I feel like people make such a big deal about bezels and whatnot and for whatever reason, like I, feel like they'd, give the phone a little more character. So again, guys not a very bad. Looking phone whatsoever feels good in the hand, seems to be running smooth, and I have to check which version of Android this thing this baby has, let's find out really quick I can get if I can access the set I.

Don't know why I'm having issues with the drop-down bar there- or maybe it's just me though I don't know, but guys I'm really happy that I finally get my hands on this phone. This is a very, very highly priced phone by a lot of other YouTubers, guys like tech, right shutouts to you by the way buddy and let me just see if I can go ahead and access the system here. Alright and just go ahead and figure out what's going on here about the phones, so, so unknown number there's no number on here, so Android version 9. So that's what I was looking for. Okay, just for the people that like to see the version of Android.

That's on this thing, it's running Android, a 9.0 out of the box and the security patch level is March 2019, so I want to say: that's pretty updated. Now, let's take a look at the apps here. Really quick, just make sure, there's no bloatware, let's see I guess, there's just doesn't really look like there's a lot of blood work, just the metro by T-Mobile apps, which you know again. You just probably use those apps to pay your bill, obviously or set up account info, etc. Like that and mobile name ID, which I'm not 100%, sure where that is again.

That could be just another T-Mobile thing for the most part, you know again guys this phone, it's a virgin impressive phone for the most part I'm just saying I'm going to tell you that right now, just the feel of it. Obviously, once I start downloading more apps and everything like that. We're going to put this phone to the test for you guys, but again guys I just want to thank you all for watching. If you guys like this video, go ahead and give this a thumbs up, you know, and you should, I test one thing out for you guys really quick. Let's test out the camera, really quick, let's see how fast this thing can take pictures right: okay, allow camera to access location, denied, I, always put deny I, don't know why figure that out later, but this is just gonna, be a quick picture that I take with the camera I.

Let's take a picture of the box here seems to be relatively quick. Let's see I can get the picture open there and, for the most part again, I would actually have to post see what this photo looks like on the computer or something like that because of the lighting in here. So I don't know if it that's the lighting itself, because here you can tell it looks a lot different on the screen than what I'm actually giving you. So, let's try that one time, let's see if they don't, let's see if the picture doesn't darken on its own. So again, I don't know if that's just a post, editing on my part or what I don't think I'm, not 100% sure, but we'll figure that out guys but again guys they're, pretty very snappy phone, and I'm I'll go over specs and all of that and the actual review.

But again this is the unboxing here. So again guys, if you guys liked this video, please give it a thumbs up again. I want to give a big shout out to a cool pad America for sending this out and again guys. I'm going to be testing this phone all week. So if you guys have any questions or if you guys want me to check something on this phone, please leave a comment down below in the video, so that I, can you know, check that out, for you guys and again, as always.

Thank you for watching guys. Please subscribe, and we'll see you all next time.
