LG Velvet review | The Come Up? |

What is going on everybody welcome back to phones and drones, so you guys saw the unboxing video of this channel earlier this week and I want to go ahead and give you my full review of the LG velvet for those of you that didn't see that unboxing review you do have LG's latest more modern-day smartphone. Yes, there's a lot of concern or questions. I should say more so about. Was this originally supposed to be the LG G 9? Clearly they decided on going through a different naming scheme and design, so I think it was definitely right of them to rename it and start fresh with this. You have that six point eight inch P OLED display you are getting that kind of taller than normal aspect ratio with that twenty and a half by 9:00 instead of nineteen by nine, you have those 48 megapixel main camera on the back you're, also going to have an 8 megapixel ultra-wide 5, megapixel depth sensor and those LED flashes. This is capable of 4k recording at I, believe 30 frames per second max.

You have a snapdragon 765 G. So yes, that means this is 5g capable as a mid-range device, and I'll quote that, because it is still somewhat of a higher range than some new mid-ranges that have come out. You have six or eight gigs of ram and a 4300 William hour battery I believe that uses actually uh I think its quick charge, 3, or I'm. Sorry quick charge, 4.0! Actually with USB power delivery.3.0 you have for 225 watt fast charging in the box, so you can get a decent charge, pretty reasonably quick. It's not too heavy.

It actually weighs about 180 grams, so not too awkward like some other heavier phones like an iPhone, 11 Pro max or something like that: you're getting Android 10 out of the box and a micro SD card expansion slot. If you wanted it does come with 128 gigs of storage base, so at least are not skimping. You on that. That's actually always welcome to see. You are getting dual sounding speakers you're getting that bottom and the earpiece speaker and let me go ahead and add, actually launch a video and give you guys a sound test on that once this finishes updating so get our decibel reader.

Here, let's go ahead and find some copyright free music. So this doesn't get tore down and let's go ahead and use this one again. There we hit a max loudness level of a hundred eleven point, one on the meter. That's actually pretty good. What you can't tell from that is how immersive that sound does really sound.

It's not just loud and distorted. It actually feels like there's some depth behind it and for those of you familiar with LG phones, you'll know they have like boom sound that they originally it kind of really pioneered we'll say with that different, like sound chamber, they had in some of the older models that is not here. However, it does still sound, really, really good. I've had no issues with sound quality at all and as a rarity as well. You actually do have that three-and-a-half millimeter headphone jack one call out for those of you that are looking to possibly pick this up in the US.

There are workarounds for this, but I do want to show you that you will get this awkward dual clock, because it's thinking that, obviously this is the Korea very, and we're not in Korea locally in Florida, it's 9:22 a. m. so you get that dual display clock there are ways to override it. If you want to kind of go that route, but just out of the box for everyday Joe Blow, keep that in mind. It will be in an awkward situation but on the actual home screen and actually on the AOD display.

You can see it shows your local time. Just fine. Now I want to go ahead and throw up some pictures and video samples for you of this device, because I actually think it was perfect. I think these cameras that they put in here, all of them the ultra-wide regular they all look really, really good. I wish there was a macro lens, like I, said for those of you that follow the channel.

Furthermore, I've really liked the macro lens I'm, a Poco f2 Pro and on my 1+8 pro as well, but that's not here nor there, but if you guys are a fan, keep that in mind that it's missing one other thing I'm glad to see they did not skimp on is an IP rating. This is IP 68 dust and water resistance, which means, basically, you can be submersed in water for I, think about 30 minutes or so at a depth of 1.5 meters. So keep that in mind. You are having that added benefit, as well with the exchange rate, since it's not technically available. Yet in the US, this runs about seven hundred thirty dollars.

It will be released at some point in the US. Lg did just say that. So keep that in mind. If you're looking at it, you might want to hold off and wait till it is officially released here as well. Gaming has been really fluid.

Actually, the 765 G has worked perfect. You can see it right here to running the games with no issue. Usually I play pub G mobile as well as some other games as well, and it works perfect. You can tell as a mid-range processor aside from that guys. What else would you like to know? It's been a really impressive device.

The tapering on these edges make it really easy to hold. It's been fun to use what other questions you have leave a comment down below thumbs up this video, and we'll catch you in the next one, thanks for watching guys, peace.
