This is the lg v60 and I have to say it's probably one of the most enjoyable phones that I've had this year now I broke it back out. After my Galaxy Note, 20 ultra exploded and just blew up the inside of my screen. I've been using the lg v60 ever since, until Samsung sent me a replacement and right now, I'm going to give you guys my thoughts and impressions between both of these beasts. If my camera can finally decide it wants to stay in focus, so let me give you guys my thoughts and impressions between these two and why I think the v60 is a better buy. So this is the lg v60, and this is the Galaxy Note 20 ultra this phone. You can pick up after taxes for about 1400 bucks, this phone.
You can pick up at T-Mobile right now for 6.99 with a second display which makes this, even though people don't like to say it a folding phone. Does it make it a better buy? I'm going to say yes, and I'm going to tell you why in just a moment. For me, the lg v60 is the better phone, and I'm going to tell you why it's not definitely the UI. I think in that department, Samsung kind of has a w there, but it's in everything else that you get. This is only a 1080p panel.
Okay, it's not 2k or anything like that. The fingerprint sensor is mad, slow, okay, I mean mad slow right, but the UI isn't horrible, okay and using it with the second display is also great. Now let me just give you a brightness. Let me brightness to brightness, we'll put the note side by side next to the lg and in my opinion the lg just looks way more saturated and looks way better as a device and also as somebody that shoots video for a living going out to car auctions and things of that nature. The audio that comes natively out of the v60 is far in a way and blows away.
The Galaxy Note 20 ultra, I don't know what happened to Samsung, that they put potatoes for microphones on their phones, but the microphones in the Galaxy Note ultra this year, suck big fat donkey balls and if you are like me, I'm sure you don't like sucking big fat donkey balls so pick the lg v6. Also, the 4k 60 frames per second video that comes out of this phone is absolutely bananas. It is butter. I have literally put this toe to toe with the very Sony alpha camera that I'm filming this review on today, and I've showed it to people that look at cars, and they can't believe it's a smartphone. I've then taken video and shot it with this very same Galaxy Note 20, ultra, and I've showed it to people, and they've been like yeah.
Furthermore, I can clearly tell that's a phone and that's the Sony not with the lg, though the lg has absolutely crushed it in every single way. Now, let's talk about design right, in my opinion, I think the lg is. It feels better in the hand it doesn't feel as slippery as you're going to drop it. The Samsung is just a pebble, it is a slippery mess and one wrong grab one wrong slip and oops 1400 bucks down the drain. Unless you have insurance and if you buy this phone, your best damn have insurance.
Here's the thing for me and I know people are going to keep coming back to the s pen. This thing is plastic, it's flimsy, and it's not that great! Okay! Yes, can you do a lot of stuff with the s pen? Of course, you can, I'm not on it. Here's what I'm on, though, the fact that I can get my lg v60 and let me show you what makes this thing better than the Galaxy Note 20 ultra. This is what makes it better than the Galaxy Note, 20 ultra a second display which allows you to use a bamboo, a Microsoft, bamboo pen on either display a big heavy nice feeling pen, not some crap plastic, thin, flimsy thing that is hidden in the phone this by far in a way is better and don't let me get started about battery life. These two phones are not comparable when it comes to sorry, I just pulled out the one that blew up in my pocket.
These two phones are not even comparable when it comes to battery life. By far and away this phone is way better in battery life than the Galaxy Note.20 ultra- and I know some of you will say well two kids, because you're using T-Mobile I use Verizon, I use T-Mobile. I use ATT and I swap my sims regularly in all of my phones, including this one. So look you're welcome to pick whatever you want, you're coming here to either validate your purchase or you care about what I think and what I think is the Galaxy Note.20 ultra is massively overpriced, and I think Samsung knows that too, because guess what they just did. That's right.
They just cut 200 off the retail price of that phone, and it's not even been a month, or maybe it's a little over a month, and you're already discounting the phone two hundred dollars. That's like a lg move, sending you a microwave and a TV with their phones, they're not doing that anymore. They're pricing, their phones. Accordingly, this phone right here, 699 bucks at T-Mobile, with the second display unbeatable, compared to the note 20 ultra. In my opinion, there you have it.
Let me know what you guys think in the comment section down below I'm going to close the book on that. In my opinion, I think this is the much better buy than the Galaxy Note.20 ultra, not saying that the note 20 ultra is a bad phone, it's great in its own right, I just don't think for the money and what you can get out of the lg that it's better period. I know I can hear the comments now that I'm crazy, and I'm tripping, and it must be the sunburn right I had too much sun. Is that what it is? Look man both of these phones are great phones. I just don't think if I'm coming at it strictly from a value proposition and for me money.
The lg v60 is worth a lot more money to me and that's somebody that can afford to buy both than this one um. That said, there's other Samsung stuff. That's great! I, like the Galaxy Buds. I love the gear. What is this gear? Galaxy watch three.
I love this um. I just am not enamored with this and I think I'm a little jaded off the fact that mine blew up. If you'd like to know more about that. Yes, a Galaxy Note, exploded uh, go check out my video linked in the description below, but for me and everyday use battery life. I don't need a Surface Duo, and you know what I also don't need a galaxy fold for two grand.
I can get pretty much everything I want out of a phone that folds with a second display with this right here, and it's only 700 bucks. This might be the deal of the year next to maybe the Pixel 4a there you have it close the book on it, everybody back knows it's going down and fighting stunning. What you're called that all that I've been dreaming? What the meaning is hope dreams die around the time I got a cleaning, gig, rent dude. Looking back on everything, I.
