LG K62 CORRIGE FALHAS pontuais do ANTECESSOR, MAS ainda FALTA GÁS | Análise / Review

Subtitled by Paulo Montenegro - paulomontenegro@hotmail. com. br LG has been renewing its K series at an impressive speed, presenting the K62 in Brazil just four months after the arrival of its predecessor. With the redesigned look and higher price, the device even won a change in name that threw it to a higher level since the K62, in fact, is a successor to the K51s and not the K61 as many may think. The time has come to see if this change in name really justifies a considerable leap from the previous model and if the K62 has managed to correct some serious errors that we saw in the K51s. Interested new LG intermediary? So hold on for another full review of TudoCelular.

com. The big change in the three most recent models of the K series was in the design. The K62 exchanges the centralized and horizontally aligned camera set with a cooktop in the left corner at the rear, where the cameras and Dual LED flash are. The device is available in red and blue colors, still all in plastic and with a matte finish with shiny sides. Military resistance certification is still present but no IP68 for protection against water.

In addition to the cameras, the fingerprint reader also underwent a change, moving from the rear to the right-side next to the power button. It works well, and should not be uncomfortable for right or left-handed people, being positioned so that it can be reached comfortably with both hands. All other buttons, volume and Google Assistant and are on the left, as well as the drawer for two sim chips and a Micro SD card. At the bottom are the sound output, USB-C port and P2 for headphone, in addition to a microphone and on the top side we have another microphone. Looking at the K62 from the front we have another change: the hole for the front camera came out in the left corner to the center of the screen.

It is a matter of taste but this fits what we have in Samsung models and in most Xiaomi intermediaries, so it is probably what most prefer. In dimensions it is practically identical to the K51s, being just a little shorter and chubby and having a slightly smaller bottom edge. For those who want a cell phone with Wi-Fi 5 GHz, LG decided to include this in the K62 after removing it in its predecessor but the gyroscope and NFC remain out and Bluetooth is still only 4.1. The screen remains a simple HD resolution LCD, which has increased the little from 6.55 to 6.6 ". The good thing is that LG chose a panel with higher brightness and more accurate colors, keeping the good angle It still doesn't come close to the AMOLED used in rival models, but it doesn't have a brightness distortion as strong as in Motorola devices, for example.

The sound part is that it leaves a lot to be desired - the only sound output has even volume reasonable but it distorts and the tracks at a higher volume and ends up making everything a little muffled. The headphones bundled in the box are simple and basic, with the 3D sound extra via software. This is probably the most controversial point of all intermediate released by LG in the past four or five years after reuse for generations the MediaTek Helio P22, LG developed the more expensive models of the K line to the P35 in the middle of last year and followed with the same chipset in K62. and, as expected, the chip is already measure yourself tired to deal with newer versions of Android and current apps - the already average performance seen on the K51s has gotten even worse on the K62, which took 15 more seconds to open and reopen a dozen apps in our hands-on test. speed in multitasking.

The main difference was in the first lap and even with 1 GB more RAM, he was not able to take the time lost in the reopening of applications. The positive point is that LG continues to have an interface that manages open applications well in the background, making it possible to keep several of them to switch quickly without worrying about things being reloaded. This 1GB more RAM yielded a few extra points in benchmarks but nothing worth mentioning. In games, the situation remains more or less the same, being possible to enjoy more basic titles and even some heavier ones without problems, as long as you reduce the graphic quality. But it is good to remember that some games fight with chips from MediaTek, as is the case of Asphalt 9 that presents gagging that hinder gambling a lot.

LG kept the 4,000 mAh battery that failed to give a good autonomy to the K51s. As we have a slightly larger screen and the same chip, the K62's battery is also bad, right? Wrong! The South Korean was able to optimize the Android 10 interface very well to deal with the device's hardware and with that we had an increase of more than 6 hours of use between the models, which means that the K62 can finally hold up to two days away plug for more basic users. Even if you don't let go of your cell phone at any time, you may have difficulty draining the K62 battery in just one day, so if you value good autonomy, you can go without fear. Charging time, on the other hand, was basically the same between devices, which was already expected considering that the 10 watt charger was maintained, so it will still be necessary to wait more than two hours to make the battery go from 0 to 100%. A quick charge of 15 minutes fills only 14% of the battery.

At least, it still comes in the box, doesn't it? The K62 comes with Android 10 from the factory, being up to the time of production of this video in the security package of September 2020, and it is not possible to know when or even if it will receive Android 11. The interface is the same that debuted on Velvet and is present in other models of the K line, with a redesigned look that makes it more similar to Samsung's One UI. We have customization options for the accent color and themes that completely change the face of the system and native applications, in addition to night mode for less visual fatigue. Functions from the previous version also continue here as the Game Launcher with some tools that help to focus on gambling and the Dual App, to use two messaging app accounts. Overall, the interface flows well but it is clear that LG has prioritized battery life over performance with a noticeable delay in opening applications for the first time.

One of the few points we had to change the K62 in relation to the K51s was in the camera set or, more specifically, in the main sensor - the company exchanged the 32 MP component for a 48 MP option previously used in the K61, but all another 3 rear cameras, as well as the front one, were maintained. Fortunately, this has made the main camera a lot better compared to the K51s and with the K62 you will be able to take beautiful pictures in environments with good lighting. The colors come out well balanced, in general, and the dynamic range is good for the category but at times we have an exaggerated saturation, even without using the Artificial Intelligence mode. Is it worth using the camera in 48 MP mode? Well, it depends. You will gain a lot in details of what is far, allowing the use of digital zoom with less loss of quality but you will need to give up HDR and the photos take a little longer to be saved in memory.

The disappointment is in the ultra wide camera, which in addition to low resolution still sins a lot in the details, does not correctly correct the distortion of the lens and shows noise even during the day. The macro camera is good for recording plants, animals and other elements in detail, but its fixed focus at 4 cm and low resolution limit creativity. The blurring camera, curiously, doesn't even seem to make a difference since, in general, only photos with faces will allow portrait mode to be activated, but at least the result is reasonable. The K62's biggest problem is in a dark environment - while Motorola has understood that even a cheap device needs to take good pictures at night, LG continues to ignore this demand and the K62 comes without night mode, being almost useless in this type of scenario. If the situation is already bad with the main camera, then the ultra-wide camera is of little use, just like the macro.

The front camera follows exactly the same quality that we saw in the K51s, managing to record good images even in environments with poorer lighting. If you like a more tanned tone, you can use the Artificial Intelligence mode that warms up the images and prioritizes the exposure of your face. The portrait mode continues to fail enough here. The K62 records in Full HD with the main camera, ultra-wide and the front. The quality is reasonable, with auto focus that works well and good stabilization for the price range, in addition to recording stereo audio with focus for the voices.

But then, K62 or some other model? The main alternatives in Brazil today are Galaxy A21s and Moto G9 Play. The Samsung model delivers better performance and should have more support for software updates, while the Motorola model does better on cameras but loses somewhat in multitasking performance and battery life. It will depend on what you prioritize. All are found in this price range of R $ 1,200 but the LG model is expected to fall further in the coming months, getting the next one around R $ 1,000. The K62 did not bring much news in relation to its predecessor but the points where it improved correct exactly the biggest weaknesses of the K51s.

Performance has yet to be significantly upgraded, something that will only happen when LG finally runs out of its seemingly endless supply of old MediaTek chips , but the battery life has been fixed and the main camera is not owed to other basics. Is it worth the R $ 1,800 orders at launch? No way! But coming close to R $ 1,000 it starts to present itself starts to present itself as an interesting option for those who want a beautiful device, with a good screen, stable performance, battery for two days and a camera that can handle the job in good light conditions. And to follow the best offers for him and the other models mentioned in this analysis you already know just click on the links below. Take the opportunity to comment if you see any problems in the fact that LG continues to use these old chips from MediaTek or think that it doesn't make much difference. I will wrap up here, a big hug and see you next time.
