Lenovo Unboxed: Yoga Tablet By Lenovo

Hello and welcome to Lenovo unbox. This is Gavin along with Kevin, hey again how you're doing I'm doing great, how awesome good we're here to unbox a rather high profile product in the Lenovo portfolio. Today, it's the Lenovo yoga tablet, which I believe you may have heard of by now, because it's been all over the place in the press, in social media and obviously, here on YouTube um Kevin were here in the quiet of our North Carolina studio. Right now we always US headquarters, but we were recently in Los Angeles for a big ranch right, so we're gonna. What we've decided to do is we're going to kind of book in this we're going to go through a little of some stuff. That needs a little more quiet explanation than we were able to do in LA, because that was a pretty crazy time.

We shot. We shot attempted to shoot this unboxing video in the leading up to the event. Furthermore, we wanted you guys to appreciate the energy of an event of global livestream. Hollywood's celebrity named Ashton Butcher, and we had our big moment, and it was. It was complete chaos, so we wanted to own up to it here, and so we're going to cut to that video, and then we're going to come back and boot the thing up and show you a little more about it, and you'll hear sound tests in the background and lighting test going on.

So it's not the smoothest, but perhaps the most uni Holman, it's a real Malabar, so we'll cut to LA in the pastime, travel, and then we'll be back to boot. This thing up for you Thanks hello, and welcome to a very special Lenovo unboxed. As always, this is Gavin here with my good friend Kevin back Kevin. How are you I am, I'm actually really good we're here in Los Angeles, the City of Brotherly Angels, the city of wind, to unbox, a brand-new product, we're actually at a launch event this evening with a lot of very fancy people and on Kevin. Why? Why are we here? What product is it just the Lenovo yoga tablet, and this is the better way which we'd been touting for quite a while.

It's a new kind of tablet. It's well. Furthermore, it's not entirely new. Furthermore, it's an android tablet. Furthermore, it is, but on it's a new take on the tablet Kevin.

Where did they? Where were the origins and also do you have one that you can begin to unknown? So, first for all the people who ever come about us not having boxes hey, we got a lot of boxes today, nothing but box and nothing. It's all its boxes, all the way down. So here's the thing. Well, mail, just talk to you! So here's the thing when, when the product engineers, when the lab and said all right next tablet, what are we going to do said all right? Let's take a slightly different approach because we've got you know once of this size, ones of that size, kind of covering all the standard tablet e basis right. So let's look at the things that the users tell us.

Are there basically I'm off the worst right, the things that just really annoyed in the work and the number one thing was battery life and the second thing you really atty between the two truth be told: was they didn't like having to buy like stands and widgets and gadgets in order to do all the normal things that they do with tablets, which is mostly watch video or movies, hold it for reading for Kindle type activities and then lay it down flat and try to type an email right and back it up for a minute, because really tablets have settled in the marketplace as a technology right, everybody loves tablets first. So let's get that out of the way. Oh, yeah. I think it's clearly changed the way we interact with every device, whether it's touch or not, but there's also a sense that there haven't been the kind of innovations and changes in the tablet space and so baby. Again, our engineers, we see they're thinking about opportunities, for you know what could change and not to be tried, but there is a better way, hashtag away, hashtag, better uh.

I happen to know that you don't have your ceremonial box cutter. No, no TSA would would would frown on that. So I've decided we're going to be using my hotel room. Key Gary can't have it afterwards. Okay, guys we are rolling.

This is addendum to the unboxing. Go hey. We got a quick I told you I told you you you, you never want to listen to me. I told us, and we're back so there you have it that's what we did in LA that we are complete madness. It was a good time.

It was the craziness of LA and, as you know, somewhere on our YouTube channel, you can watch the live stream of that entire event: Ashton Butcher, our CMO David, Romeo and, of course, the star of the show. This thing, along with the band Hunter hunted, who get laid at it, but uh key. Let's go ahead and boot it up and show people just very briefly we're not going to dwell on it. Obviously yeah, so you know: I've had the kickstand out there, so obviously, we've got our hold mode that you would use for things like your Amazon Kindle application here, and then we would open it back up for stand mode.

We've got, let's run the one shown, the kickstand yeah, just a little demo, video right there with our friends from Hunter hunted doing our kind of theme song from yoga tablet, yeah right and then obviously that be the mode where you want to watch, videos and skype, that sort of thing sure, and then we've got tilt mode with or without the stand right. So for me, that's Saturday morning, breakfast mode right there for me with the tilt, mm hmm yeah weather, without the stand, yeah and again the key to it all being this little cylinder, that's housing, the battery and that's really making these three sort of unique modes possible right got your email and your gaming here and let's just try out the camera, will quick, I'm gonna will be. There will get Joe to smile behind, show us our friend behind the camera Joe dapper today, looking dapper very nice suave, our man behind the camera yeah. We have a lot of lights on here, so he's very well lit. Yes, he is well lit all right, um.

Anything else, given I think that's kind of know. We final around the horn on the moves and getting there again a very unusual unboxing from us, but we wanted to again try to help. You understand the energy and the excitement that we were feeling on the day of our launch and then also come back and give you a little more so since here, so that is the Lenovo yoga tablet remember available in 8 inches and 10 inch version, and this is the 8 inch by the way. This is the 8 inch, which I think is great, very light. Very nice form factor my problem, favorite, yeah, yeah and again slots into a portfolio of tablets that includes Android and yoga yep arrest, rather Android and Windows, and obviously a number of other devices all the way from phones up to massive.
