So is the battery life trash on the Apple Watch? Six? Yes, it is and let's go ahead and talk about it. So I originally got this watch about two months ago, and I got it off of a carrier deal put some money down and making some payments on it. So yeah, that's pretty much like the backstory behind it. I got the blue because I, like blue, and I really just wanted to get back into wearing an Apple Watch again because a couple of years ago I had an Apple Watch Series 4 I liked it. I even bought a case for it, but ultimately I sent that watch back because of the battery life. Now the Apple Watch 5 came out, then the Apple Watch 6 came out so here we are two generations later, and I'm thinking to myself.
You know what I want to try an Apple Watch again. I really want to try the health features. I really want to try this oxygen sensor and I really want something to pair and use with my iPhone that'll work really well. So, basically, I'm falling back into the ecosystem. Now the entire watch isn't bad.
The watch is actually pretty good. A lot of people. A lot of people talk about how the watch is one of the best experiences that you'll have as far as a smartwatch- and I agree it is a perfect experience. It does feel somewhat high quality. I don't think it's like the greatest quality or the greatest feel on earth, but it's pretty decent, and I like it, but coming down to the most crucial thing about a watch.
Is the battery life the battery life on this? In my opinion, for how much money you can spend on a smartwatch is absolute trash straight up trash. It does not make sense. I mean you have competitors out there, whose smartwatches last five days they last a week, they last two weeks, some of them even last three weeks now I understand they don't have all the uh the features or the power, or they don't have the chipset or all this other stuff, that everybody's gonna start typing into the comments section. I get that, but this watch, which is your know, touted as a life-saving watch. It has fall detection, it can detect rhythms in your heart.
That might be bad. It has an oxygen sensor. It has all these things on here. Furthermore, it even has sleep tracking on here, but the fact that this watch will not last a minimum of 72 hours with regular use is ridiculous. To me.
I just absolutely do not get it, and it is one of the most annoying features about this watch apple. Please increase the battery life of this watch, whatever you have to do, even if, even if you have to get rid of another component once again, it makes no sense for this not to last a week minimum now I know they're supposed to be coming out with the Apple Watch 7. I haven't heard anything about the improvements to battery life. All I keep hearing about is there might be a redesign. There might be this new feature, but what's the point if your battery is constantly dying and with that the other trash feature about this watch, and it ties in with the battery- is the proprietary charging for this watch? The fact that I can't even take this watch and put it on a QI charger is ridiculous as much as apple has been pushing MagSafe on the back of this phone, and you know how good it's supposed to be and charging is charging his phone and whatnot.
I still need a pr, a proprietary connector, to charge this watch and there have been so many times so many times that I'm either going to work or I'm going somewhere else, and you know, let's say life happens, which it always does, and you forget to charge your watch the night before, and you go out somewhere and then boom. Your watch is dead like I can't even go to the store and get like one of those external rechargeable battery packs to charge this. I need to have that stupid, little cable that magnetically attaches to this, and it's proprietary charging just for this watch. I can see if you 100 use this watch by itself, and it had complete functionality, but most of the things that you need to do with this watch, you need an iPhone for there are so many things you need to do with this watch to have it work and one of the things is having an iPhone. So yes, that is completely stupid, and I wish apple would change that because, right now I am in the Apple ecosystem.
I have a MacBook, I have an Apple Watch. I have an iPhone and right now for apple. For me to be in this ecosystem. I need to have three different charging cables, and you have a charging cable for a stupid watch. I need to have a charging cable for this iPhone.
You know basically the lightning cable. Could I charge it? Wirelessly? Yes, but that's basically, another cable, MagSafe, cable, and, for my you know, MacBook Air. I need USB, so apple this. This is dumb. This does not make any sense whatsoever and pretty much.
Those are my gripes. Those are my frustrations with this Apple Watch. I really like this Apple Watch. I really want to keep this Apple Watch but, like I said having to charge this thing, every single day is dumb having a proprietary charging connection on this is dumb. One thing that would be totally amazing that apple could do is put reverse wireless charging inside your phone design, your watch to reverse wirelessly charge and then just put your uh Apple Watch on the back of your iPhone.
It's so simple like come on now. In all fairness, I'm probably still going to be wearing this Apple Watch. I'm probably still going to be using it because, just like everybody else comes to realize when it comes to apple, you really don't have a choice. You know you really can't, you know you can't go, get an Apple Watch somewhere else. I would have to go, get another smartwatch and then hook that up into the iPhone and then who knows if iMessage is going to work or all these other different things that we've become accustomed to when it comes to the Apple Watch, so yeah once again, battery life is trash.
I hate the proprietary connector and those are my feelings about the Apple Watch. Six. Do you not like it? Is the battery life cool for you, or do you wish the battery life was better all right, you all. Take it easy.
I will see you all in the next video peace.
