iPhone X vs Pixel 2 XL Camera Review & Comparison - Best Camera Smartphone?

Hi there this is Transit and I have the pixel to excel, and the iPhone 10 with me, and this video will be comparing the camera, because quite a few of you have asked me which one is better in camera. Both of them actually have got very good camera the way. Actually, the pixel goes about as a little different. It just has a single camera, but then also it has portrait mode, whereas on the iPhone 10 we have proper dual camera setup and the front-facing camera has that portrait mode thanks to the depth sensor, so I've taken a lot of sample shot with both these devices, so that you can judge which one is doing a better job. So your other pictures side by side and one thing I notice immediately- is with the iPhone 10. The colors are a lot deeper, whereas they're slightly on the paler side with the pixel 2xl.

Obviously, the iPhone 10 has optical zoom. Again some pictures. As you can see, the pictures with the iPhone 10 are a lot more vibrant compared to the pictures that we are getting with the pixel to excel. In terms of macro shots, both are doing an incredible job, but again, as you can see, the difference in color and here I use the zoom on the iPhone are 10. Sadly, we don't have any optical zoom on the pixel 2xl.

These are in normal conditions.1 X and here I use the iPhone at ENSO function in terms of color reproduction in outdoor conditions. The iPhone 10 is definitely producing more colorful and richer pictures compared to the pixel 2xm. Now, let's look at the portrait mode with the iPhone X. It uses the telephoto lens, so it zooms and with the portrait mode and here I took at these two photographs in the Sun and I feel the iPhone exited slightly better. But in this photograph noticed that a pixel like cell phone, the iPhone X, it's algorithm simply blurred that.

So in that respect, the pixel did a lot better. This is a very difficult picture. The bright area is behind me and in this scenario the pixel did a lot better than the iPhone 10 mix from the front-facing camera has noticed at the iPhone 10 zooms, in a little with the front-facing camera compared to the pixel 2, and both of them actually have the portrait mode and I use the portrait mode and thus aperture and I. Both of them are doing a good job in terms of portrait mode with their front-facing camera, but the iPhone 10 you can actually edit the pictures afterwards. You have those lightning modes, for example, is the portrait counter lighting and the studio lighting, and that makes a great different, for example, the left to focus the original one, whereas on the right, one I used the studio lightning, and you can see the difference, and this is simply not possible with pixel or any other smartphone.

As of now, moving to indoor lighting conditions at the striking difference that I'm noticing is in the way the color sari produced on the pixels, the color are having a more blueish colder tint compared to the iPhone X and I would say in terms of color accuracy. The iPhone 10 is doing a much better job. Have a look at this picture. Both of them got the colors actually wrong. It's red roses.

The iPhone 10 made it a lot redder than it s, but on the pixel, it's looking pink recording a quick sample again with the front-facing camera of this iPhone 10, and this should give me an idea. How is the video and audio recording- and this is how many vloggers do it? So this is a very quick sample. I'll do the same for the pixel to excel and will also shoot a similar footage in artificial lighting in the later part of the video regarding this part of the footage with the front-facing camera to the pixel to excel, and the audio is also being recorded. Why it's a internal microphone so that you can charge? How is the performance- and this is how many bloggers use their front-facing camera, so this should give you an idea. How is the video recording with the front-facing camera of the pixel 2xl, now recording the video with the red facing camera, and I've said both of them at 1080p? Both of them can actually go up to 4k.

What we are recording this one as 1080p, and we will see which one is doing a better stabilization both have optical image stabilization, but the pixel also employs electronic image stabilization. So, first, we'll just do the walk test, I'm, just walking normally handheld, so that you can judge which one is better on the CIF in spirit this also dead. So in terms of focusing, as you can see, both of them are actually able to focus very quickly. So that's a good thing. So, let's just, just walking- and you guys- let me know in terms of its part of the video with the 4k- the iPhone 10- can record 4k up to 60fps, but after about 30, because the pixel to excel max out at 30fps, so yeah recording both and you guys via charge, and let me know which one do you think is doing a better job and stabilization, and this iPhone obviously has an edge.

It has that 2x zoom, as you can see, have just author the to exhume, so you can easily zoom in and out even in this 4k video. That is simply not possible with the pixel to excel. But again you guys. Let me know in the comment section which one is doing a better job in 4k and stabilization now shot these pictures in very low lighting conditions and again on the pixel to you have that blue tint and in this picture I felt both of them are having a little of noise. So I decided to test it to them even more, and these are in very low lighting conditions.

So I disable the flash and, in these very low lighting increase situations, I would give them a slight edge to the pixel to x-l. Now recording this part of the footage with the front-facing camera of the pixel to XL am, as you can see, this is an artificial condition in my office. You'll also just go out and see how it handles draft artificial lighting conditions, and this line this we just have one you played over there, so you would be the video recording with the front definition camera of the pixel to excel in artificial lighting conditions. Now recording this part of the video with the front-facing camera of this iPhone 10, and I'll also be giving you the conclusion. As you can see, this is in my office, so we do the same thing.

We'll just go outside and see how it handles now, which one do you think is better the iPhone 10 or the pixel to excel and again this is an artificial lighting, just one light, so this should be an idea how this would be the video recording and artificial lighting with the front-facing camera of this iPhone. Damn and I have seen the pictures on my computer color calibrated monitor, and here are some of the things that I have noticed in terms of outdoor pics. I would say both of these cameras are doing a good job, but in terms of color accuracy, simply this iPhone 10 is doing a far better job. The pictures on the pixel to Excel were looking slightly pale and in fact my daughter was actually helping me while shooting these features sample some of the portrait photograph she was taking, and she was also just looking at the pictures, and she immediately told me the pictures on the pig what'd. He says: iPhone 10 look a lot more vibrant, but what do you guys think so in terms of color accuracy? Also, this is very, very surprising to me in indoor lighting conditions, so the color accuracy was a lot better than the iPhone 10, whereas with the pixel to x-l.

For some reason it was having that blue 2/10 indoor lighting conditions- maybe Google, can't solve this with a software update but yeah as of now lot of pictures were having that cold bluish tint in indoor lighting condition. Let me switch on one more life. This was the lighting when I was shooting earlier so yeah and regarding the portrait board, it was very surprising that Google is employing just software the best algorithms, and they got the portrait more right, for example, that photograph that you saw when I was just holding the pixel ? and my daughter too, photographed the rear facing camera. It blurred out what you say: the pixel two phone half, so Apple still needs to improve their portrait mode, whereas we didn't get those kinds of errors. Have that the pixel two also with the front-facing camera? Yes, both of them are doing a very good job, but the advantage what the iPhone has with the portrait mode is that just lighting effects you can change them afterwards and change it and I feel the two modes.

The studio lighting and counter do produce some very good effects. That is not there. As of now with the pixel, so that option is there in terms of 4k video stabilization. Surprisingly, the pixel did a lot better. I would say that the iPhone and also an audio while you record the video, the audio recording levels were slightly low on the iPhone 10 compared to the pixel yeah you can boost it in post, for example, I am doing that in this video, but yeah by default.

The audio recording is slightly lower with the iPhone 10 for macro shots both of them. It did a very good job, but again here, I have to pick one I'll pick the iPhone 10 because of the colors and in very low lighting conditions. Again, both of them I was surprised that, even though I funded this curve, but if I have to pick one I would say the pixel to accelerate slightly better in artificial lighting conditions. Needless to say, both of them are very good cameras, but I feel both of them can improve a little with software updates. Let's see how it goes, but you guys, let me know after seeing all these samples and stuff, which one do you think, is a better smartphone in terms of camera.
