iPhone SE - Unboxing and First Look

Hi everyone Aaron here for Solo Tech and today, Apple released the iPhone SE II and the iPad Pro we'll take a look at in a different video. This is the SE and rose gold. This is actually the 16 gigabyte model and I got that model because it's less expensive, and it won't be used. As my daily driver, my daily driver is an iPhone 6s plus. So let's take a look at this. One comes in at 399, with 16 gigabytes or $4.99 with 64 gigabytes. This is probably the dullest knife ever, but I used the shorter blade.

Just so I don't cut myself or cut too deep on anything. Rather, let's go ahead and open this up, set that aside and pull the top off now I haven't used an iPhone 5 sized phone in quite some time, and this is a very tiny phone. Let's take a look at this here, so we'll take this out, and you can see its rose, gold, 16 gigabytes right there. It says SE and it's small. It feels nice though, but let's take a look at what we have in the box, probably nothing new here.

So we've just got our normal design by Apple in California. We do have a sim removal tool, that's always nice to have, and then we've just got our Apple stickers, iPhone info and then the iPhone SE information there. So, let's set that aside and then, as expected, we have our ear pod headphones. We've got our wall adapter our AC wall adapter, and then we've got our lightning cable. So nothing really exciting there.

Just the same thing we've had for years. Let's take a look at the phone itself, though now the nice thing about this phone is it has the a9 processor found in the iPhone 6 or the iPhone 6s, and it's also got the same camera as this phone does. So we've got the same camera in here: the 12 megapixel 4k, video capable camera, although 6 16 gigabytes probably isn't going to do very well with that little amount of storage in 4k combined. But this is pretty nice. It's my first rose gold phone and the reason I got it in rose.

Gold is because that's the only way to really differentiate this style phone, so the SE comes in rose gold, but the 5 and 5s didn't so. Let's go ahead and turn it on now. All our old cases should work just as well. So that's one thing: that's really nice about this. Now you can see this is a 6s Plus, really huge size difference.

We have a 4-inch screen versus much larger devices that we have today. Buttons are the same now the chambered edge is no longer shiny, like it is on the 5 and 5s. It's actually got the anodized coating on it. That's a little different. It says hello, it's already started up, no SIM card installed, I guess we'll go ahead and pop my SIM card into it.

Wouldn't pop this into place. There we go, give it a minute. Now you may be able to get this phone cheaper on contract or depending on your carrier. You can get it for a different monthly price as well. Go ahead and hit the country and the language will choose a Wi-Fi network here in just a moment when it finds it.

It's going to activate it said it couldn't activate. Let's try again now that it's got a couple bars of signal here. There we go will enable location services will set up touch ID, real, quick, we'll create a passcode. We can change this later. I'm just doing this to get through the setup.

Really quick, I will just set it up as a new phone put in my Apple ID wait for it to set up agree to the terms now this screen looks sunken down in you can see, there's a black rim around it, that's kind of annoying but everything's very rose, gold or pink, and this phone feels pretty good in the hands now, obviously, it looks really ridiculous in my hands because my hands are so big. In fact, the 6s plus looks comfortable in my hands. Actually, so it's just such a big difference in phone size, but this is a pretty nice phone and for anyone that likes this form factor this size. This is definitely easier to hang on to then the S or the 6 or the 6s or any of those because of the rounded edge I skipped Apple Pay, iCloud keychain we won't restore for now I have Siri, ready, we'll go ahead and hit continue, don't send and welcome to iPhone here's the main screen, and we'll use. Here's that this is all the basic apps you've got your watch app, your podcasts App Store I've got mail and music and everything you'd expect just in a much, much smaller screen.

But I do like the feeling of this phone. It's really nice in the hand, not quite as nice as the larger screen on the 6s plus, but if you really like the smaller size, this may be for you. So this is like I said it's about 400 or $500 off contract, depending on storage. I'd recommend that most people go with the 64 gigabyte. But let me know what you think in the comments below, if you have an iPhone, 4 or 5, or you're.

Thinking of upgrading, let me know: is this something you're going to get? Are you still going to wait for the larger phones or get a 6 or 6s or whatever is out right now? Let me know in the comments below, if you haven't subscribed already, please subscribe and like as always thanks for watching this is Aaron I'll see you next time.
