iPhone 8 Plus Unboxing: Space Grey! By POGProductionz

Hey, what is gonna guys PRG here and welcome to today's video? So today is the September 22nd, and it's the time when iPhone 8 plus was released here, and so I went out and pick one up. So here is the Space Gray, 256, gigabyte, iPhone, 8, plus, and then over here, I also picked up the iPhone 8 plus leather case. I also went ahead and grabbed myself. The Apple Watch Series 3 this one here is the Sport version with the black band, and also it's the cellular version which I find to be cool. I also went ahead, and so this in the Apple Store, and I was like. You know what my channel is a Minecraft Channel and so, like you know what I need to pick this up.

So here we have a controller. This works with your iPad, iPhone and stuff like that, and also comes with the Minecraft Apple TV edition, which is pretty awesome. I think this one was around 50 495 for a controller and the games I find that to be quite fair, and I did purchase Apple Care for the Apple Watch and the iPhone 8 plus here, but I was like you know what I'm still going to purchase this from Amazon I always have this on my iPhone's all the time. So this one here is a tempered glass screen protector. I, always like to keep my items kind of looking new.

So I was like you know what I'm going to pick this up and installed it on my eye Plus, because I don't like seeing scratches on my phone, you know I always like them to be very nice, and just because you bought Apple, Care I think it's always nice to have this nice leather feel on your case and all that type of stuff, so yeah I highly recommend you guys to still purchase a screen protector. Just so you have a very nice looking device all the way. So if you guys want to see the unboxing for the Apple Watch or the controller makes you check out the other videos, that's going to be up. I'll have a link in the description, but today we're going to take a look at the iPhone, a plus and this iPhone 8 plus leather case. So let's start off with the iPhone eight plus so over here you guys.

We do have this awesome box, so here's the Space Gray model and if you guys were to purchase the gold version I think that one comes with like a gold box, but here we have this Space Gray, which comes with this very nice box. As you can see here, it kind of tries to say hey. This is a glossy phone which is pretty nice over here on the right side, we do have the iPhone, and if we were to look up here it is the 256 K by model. So if you guys our thinking that 256 gigabyte isn't it's too much for you, there's also 64 gigabyte option to be honest, 64 gigabytes is not enough for me, but I wish there was the 128 gigabyte model, because I think the 256 is way too much for me. But 64 wasn't enough.

So this was the only choice for me anyways so over here on the bottom. We do have the Apple logo, so it is on the top over there, and we do have this pill here to just kind of open up the box. So let's go ahead and pretty much open this up and I do love to hear the sound all the time when opening this packaging. So here we go, so we don't need any scissors or anything like that. The Box nicely opens very nicely, and once we took off that plastic cover, yes can notice this kind of glossy effect on the Box a lot nicer.

So let's go ahead and open this up. Okay, so once we take this box open, but you have designed by Apple in California inside here we should have our sim ejector tool. So welcome to iPhone sim ejector tool, warranty paperwork as well to Apple stickers. Okay, so here is the iPhone. Eight plus I'm going to put this on the side.

For now inside the packaging we do have our USB wall outlet. I know the iPhone eight plus supports fast charging. But if you guys were to use this, it doesn't really give you fast charging. You do have to purchase a separate charging brick and a cable to in order to feature the charge fast charging so pretty much. That's a USB see to a lightning cable and a power break which is kind of ridiculous.

How much it costs to actually have those fast charging plus the brick is quite big anyway. So here we have the AirPods and then in the back here with you, have the Lightning port two headphone jacks I honestly have now any issues using the Lightning jack. It doesn't really bother me that the headphone jack has been disappeared, like there's always the times that I try to there's like the things that hey you know what I need an exhilarate able input, so I headphone jack, but it's its very rarely so I, don't really have any issues that my phone doesn't have a headphone jack, but it's nice that Apple still includes the headphone jack adapter and on the bottom here we do have the lightning cable. So let's go ahead and put this all away and take a look at the phone itself. So here is the iPhone 8 plus we have it right here.

So, as you can see guys on the front, we do have the awesome 5.5-inch screen. This is not the OLED version. Obviously, if you want the o light, you have to go for the iPhone 10, but here is the back of it I already like the way it looks. It's not like my first reaction because when I first bought the iPhone 7 last year, that was like my first time ever testing the home button. Everything like that I didn't buy it from Apple Store, so this time it did, and it was displayed there.

So I already know what it looks like and anyway. So let's go ahead and turn this on, but I do I'm so excited about this dual camera guys, because there right now have iPhone, 7 and I. I really am excited for that. Now, just so, I don't get a lot of scratches on my phone before I rip, this off I'm gonna kind of become like a normal person who you guys are where you just want to protect your devices right away. So let's figure out how you can open this leather case.

So it looks like if you want to go ahead and open the leather case. All you have to do is kind of pull like this and it kind of gets out. We do have this very nice packaging here very nice case. You guys, of course, you're going to see like some not as good as flash and all that, because it is kind of very it's lighter, so I mean it's not always the best and every one of them looks different, and here we have like an installation how to install it kind of thing. So, let's put this aside and of course, I'm, not going to install this right away.

I'm going to put this on the side. Real, quick, but we're going to take a look at the phone, so here it is guys we do have the front-facing camera over here. The earpiece. Let's go ahead and turn this on, so home button over here and one thing: I can notice, that's different with the form the iPhone 7. So there it is, is turning on is the antenna band.

So if you guys look over here, I don't see this like kind of going around like this, so it doesn't go like that. So I feel like it's only on these corners over here the same over here as you can see. So we got this silencer. We got the volume up and down. We do have the touch ID and all that type of stuff, dual cameras like I said and so, and in Canada we do not get those writings in the back I've seen some UK versions that they do get and look how beautiful this is and that I want to really touch the bad guys, because I do want my phone to look very nice, so we're just easily going to install this quad flashlight there, lets kind of see how this looks like when you install it.

So just like that very simple. Alright. So let me just show you more of this, so the leather case feels amazing. It doesn't really put much bulkiness to the phone, even though the iPhone 8 plus is already quite big. So we look over here.

The power button is also like this metal finish. It looks like yeah, it's not like a plastic, I, think it's metal, and it will look the volume controls over here, they're all so nice and metal, and we do have the Apple logo over here in the back. As you can see, which looks awesome, the cutouts for the dual camera and the microphone, the stereo speakers, the earpiece is also a stereo speaker. If you guys don't know, and then we look over here, we got the Lightning port, and we got these speakers and I think only one of them is a speaker because that's how my iPhone 7 is alright guys. So let's go ahead and set up this iPhone 8 plus we're gonna, select English here, going to choose the country, and over here we do have quick, starts.

I think what this does are kind of easily sets up your iPhone, so you don't have to go for the usual set up, but I really like to go and have like a fresh start on my new device. So I'm just going to go it as a new device. I'm going to set it up manually. So once I put my Wi-Fi password, it is like kind of going through it. So it says it may take few minutes to activate your iPhone, so we're gonna, just wait.

So I did have to go ahead and take the case off, and now I see a lot of fingerprints in the back and the reason being is that I forgot that I had to install my SIM card, so I'm gonna quickly go ahead and pretty much transfer my SIM card into this phone. So let's go ahead and take a look at it. So pretty much as far as I remember on my iPhone 7, we do have like a very nice rubber thing on here on the SIM tray and what it does it pretty much protects your iPhone to make it like water-resistant. So if you look over here, we do have like this verb or on the edge right there on the SIM tray. I, don't know if you guys can see it, but over here in the corner, we do have a rubber seems right, so I'm gonna quickly swap the SIM cards, and then I'll get back into it.

Okay, guys! So once I went ahead and insert my SIM card, it does go ahead and tell me to set up touch, so I'm gonna quickly go ahead and skip this for now, but I will go ahead and set this up later. Obviously, going to tell me to put a passcode I'm. Also, going to skip this real quick for now. Yes, don't use passcode, please, and we're going to continue on set it up as a new iPhone going to skip the Apple ID for now again so set up later in settings. Don't use, and I like how Apple always has it like, whatever they want you to click? First, they have it kind of like put into place that, like you, do end up actually wanting to click, but that's not really what you wanted to do if that makes sense like.

So, if you don't want to set it up, it kind of makes the text that makes you one to do it like press it I, don't know how to explain anyway, so we're going to enable locations and services going to use Siri, and I'm going to set this up. So hey Siri, hey Siri, hey Siri, hey Siri! How is the weather today hey Siri, it's me, and now we have hey see. Are you ready and if I did set, you guys is blown up by I. Do apologize for it. So now we're going to go continue on I.

Do apologize for the background noise, I, don't know, kids were going crazy outside, and so we're going to click on don't share with Apple, and here we have. The true tone display that's different with the iPhone A+ compared to the iPhone 7 plus, so we're going to go ahead and click on see with father and if we can tell any difference on the camera. So let's go ahead and take a look at it. Oh, yeah I can definitely tell the difference and actually looking at this whiteboard right here and then, and I look over here or the top I get I should say. If I look over here like I can see, the colors are like matching and if you guys noticed that if I were to do that, they no longer do so.

I, do really like the true tone display, but I've been told that it's better to turn it off. If you are doing some photo work or anything like that, so meet my new home button. This was my reaction, was amazing last year, so I guess I'll put a crib click real quick. What was my reaction like and get started? Oh, this is the new home button, whoa, whoa, whoa I'm going to leave it at 3 that felt like a real button. I'm going to click standard because, that's what I prefer so yeah I was very excited, so we're going to click get started, I'm going to choose level 3.

Some people say that level. Three feels like it's like the whole bottom of the phone kind of gets pressed down, but I do like I kind of go for level 2 to 3, so I'm going to go to 4 now, and then we're going to use standard, and then we're going to click Next and welcome to your iPhone. We're going to click get started, and so it looks like we have an update. Or what is this so finish? Setting up your iPhone finish, setting up your iPhone get the most out of your iPhone features like Apple ID Siri touch ID and Apple Pay. Okay! So that's pretty much what it's telling me that do you, like the things that's gonna, make my iPhone a lot better anyway, so guys one thing: I really want to do.

Real quick is kind of do ace to benchmark I. Don't really do stuff like this, but I kind of wanted to do a geek score so like a geek bench score, and so we're kind of going to do that. But we do have this beautiful, iOS, 11 I, really like that! 3D touch flashlight! That's amazing! How you can get all these pages like it's amazing 3d touch to just do the brightness of the screen. Would you get the night shift and the way do you have true tone that I don't have on my iPhone there? So this is very cool. You guys I really, really like it and, of course you can customize the control center.

So, let's quickly download the geek bench and I guess set the phone up now. As for my own need. So I'm going to go over to settings now, and then I'm going to go with setting up my touch, ID real quick, so that should be over here, and then I'm. Going to click add a fingerprint, and in order to do this, you guys all you have to do it's pretty much tap on the home button. You don't press or anything.

You just put your finger in there and it kind of lets you set up your fingerprint, which, by the way, guys the only reason I'm not as excited about the iPhone 10. It is because of the fingerprint scanner I really, really like the touch. I'd and I really try out the iPhone 10 to actually understand it. That's the form for me, but I do really want that completely full design on the phone, but I do appreciate this iPhone 8 plus I mean I know it has like almost the same looks for a while, but I do appreciate it. I think this is a very nice design, especially with the glass back and Apple does say that this is pretty much one of the strongest glass on the phone.

So I'm going to go ahead and put my passcode that I, choose and stuff like that. So I just went that and put my passcode and pretty much. It now has my fingerprint, so I'm going to go ahead and exit that out if I were to, you know raise to wake if that's enabled. Yes, it is for some reason that asked for touch. I'd I mean passcode, but I can just do that and, as you can see it's unlocked now, I can just press the button to turn it on.

You can obviously turn that off so now, I'm just going to download kick punch and stuff like that. Real, quick, alright guys, so I did go ahead and pretty much download. The Geek bench I did set up the iPhone that has my own from now on, and so, if we look here, I do have Geek bench 4, so we're going to go ahead and pretty much run a CPU benchmark and see what this six core processor does from Apple. So let's go ahead and take a look at it. So I'm going to put this down and speed the video up for you guys, but let's see what kind of scores we get okay, so it looks like it's about to finish and let's see the scores we get alright.

So for the single core we did get 4265 where the multi score is at ten thousand four hundred and twenty-five, and if you don't know guys, I think this is even more performance than entry level. Mac books I mean this is just insane amount of speed and I think this one is going to be very good for a very wild. If we go over here to the multi-core, you guys, we can see kind of gives you a comparison. So my device is at ten thousand four twenty-five, where the iPhone 7 plus, is that five thousand and four eleven, and if we go to single core, as you can see there, the eight ten fusion ships is 3306 for the iPhone 7 plus. So this is a pretty much improvement, pretty nice improvement for the iPhone, a plus, alright guys.

So the next thing is that I want to show what happened pretty much after about ten minutes of you. So if we look over here guys, this I mean there is quite a bit of fingerprints. Already I mean look, look at the back of this phone already, so there is quite a bit of fingerprints as you can see. So what I'm going to do is quickly protect my phone, so I'm gonna start off with the pretty much this as plus go protector, so I'm just going to open this up real fast, alright, so once I wet that and open this up inside the packaging, we do get two screen protectors. So these are two tempered glass screen protectors.

We also get a kind of installation kit for like clothes and all that, so the reason I'm going to use this first, it's just pretty much clean the back glass and then kind of put the leather case back on. Let's open this up real, fast and I kind of want to show you guys, like a detailed thing for this I'm, just going to put the phone screen on this, and I'm going to clean the back real fast, and now we're going to put the leather case back on which also feels very nice. The phone is not as slippery as the iPhone 7 matte black that I have but yeah you can hold it with the way it is, but I prefer to have this leather case. So now we did this and look how easy guys it is to actually go ahead and install the scrim protectors. Now, I'm going to be honest with you.

This is not a sponsored video or anything like that. I actually paid with my own money for this, and I also recommended T. rex to get this, because this is what I used for a while now. So let's go ahead and pretty much do this and since the edges aren't really going to be effecting much I mean some people would suggest those instill the screen protector first and then put the case, but I don't think it's going to be an issue so pretty much what we do. We have these things to kind of connect it on the side to make sure it's straight, but we get this awesome thing here and what this does it take all the small dusts off the screen.

Just like that, and then all you have to do is pretty much rip off this here and then install it. So you rip it off like this, and you nicely install it to line it up. Just like that, alright guys so, once I went that and set this come protector, as you can see its kind of installing itself, and usually you don't really get any bubbles or anything like that. So, as you can see, it kind of did it and if you look here, what we have to do is the parts that aren't you just kind of give a little force. Just like this.

Don't press it too much, but there we go so now. I got my awesome classic rim protector installed. So, as you can see, I did kind of I didn't do the best job over here, but I think it's its good enough for now.
