OnePlus Nord VS iPhone 11 - Which is BETTER?

So from yesterday's unboxing, it's confirmed this colorway is closest to the Dave 2d teal. Obviously I should have thought of that myself, but you guys nailed it on the head with that. One: hey guys! What's up, it's Carl here back with another episode and comparing the brand new OnePlus word, and we're facing it off against an iPhone and the reason why I chose the iPhone 11 I initially was gonna. Do it against the iPhone SE, the second version for around that 500 price point. But when I started that comparison, I couldn't get over how tiny this display was. It just feels like a device from five six years ago, and the comparison didn't really seem fair.

So that's why I'm tossing that aside, comparing it against the iPhone 11- and I know these come in at very different price points- the OnePlus word under 500 bucks and in yesterday's keynote they announced a special variant only available in India. It only does come with six gigs of ram 64 gigs of storage, but that value 350 bucks, that's half the price of an iPhone 11 which starts at 700, but I get that people love their iPhones. You have to pay a bit more for that apple tax, but here is the comparison of two devices that I think a lot of people will be looking at the OnePlus word against the iPhone 11. And if we start off with the thing that I mentioned first, which is price point we'll get that out of the way we are in two different leagues here. The version that I have here.

This has 12 gigs of ram. So it's the top spec you're. Looking at around that 500 price point, which I honestly think is still great like I mentioned the iPhone 11 you'll start off at 6.99, so 700, and you'll only get 64 gigs of storage I'll. Let you guys decide if price is the deciding factor design-wise, they both feel great in the hand, and they actually feel a bit more similar than I initially thought. The OnePlus word does have rounded edges around the outside and, of course, the iPhone.

This design also hasn't changed in the past decade. Almost funnily enough, the colorways on the back of the devices are kind of matching the blue marble over on the word is their flagship or their promo colorway. The iPhone offers a few more color ways. This is personally my favorite of the bunch for the 11. And when you flip to the front, this is where the biggest differences between these devices are it's on the display.

The iPhone is just straight updated. It's old, we've got a notch. The size of Mount Everest, the bezels are painstakingly large, and we only sadly have a 60 hertz display. I think it's, the only flagship that has lagged behind on the display aspect. The OnePlus word did have to make a couple compromises to stay under that 500 price point, but you can't see a notch anymore.

That's because we've got an in display fingerprint sensor and the whole display literally goes edge to edge, and the extra bonus they've still got a 90 hertz refresh rate, that's the same as the OnePlus 8 that we saw from last year, and once you go the minimum of 90 going back to a 60, it's just a no-go. I think a 90 hertz display has to be the bare minimum in 2020. Of course, we should expect to see that from apple come this September with the iPhone 12. And internally. I know this is a bit harder to compare, but if you're looking at this solely for the specs, the iPhone 11 a13 bionic chip with four gigs of ram, and if you can do your math correctly, I know I struggle.

Sometimes the OnePlus word has triple the amount of ram at 12 gigs. So that's a huge difference. Mind you we're running two different operating systems. Of course iOS is very optimized. I would say both are still very quick and both do feel like flagship, so anything that you throw out the devices they'll handle totally fine.

Just to keep that in mind. Specs aren't necessarily everything, and I think we'll see that with what's on the back with the camera and at first glance, once again the OnePlus word, it's got a quad camera setup and although the main camera on the word is a 48 megapixel sensor, it's an older Sony. IMF 586 we've seen it over on the OnePlus 8, and I would sum up the camera experience as just average. Sometimes it over saturates, colors, the dynamic range, isn't really the best. I think the biggest benefit for the word is.

You have four different sensors to play around with, so the ultra-wide you've got a macro, a telephoto and even the two sensors up front for your selfies. The iPhone 11, on the other hand, only has two sensors 12 megapixels, also from Sony, but this is the strength of an iPhone. I find the camera systems on iPhones are typically some of the best in the smartphone switching now onto battery-wise, and of course I can sum that up in a couple words, the OnePlus word is the clear winner here. It also has the benefit of warp charge.30T. We saw that last year from the OnePlus 8, plus the eight pro you can quickly juice up your device in five to ten minutes and get another day's use, whereas the iPhone battery.

This is honestly where it sucks again, you get the little small dongle in the box, we're still using outdated, lightning, so no USB and who knows what happens with the next version of the iPhone. We might not even get a charging cable, so you'll have to either use an old one or buy one for 30 40 bucks knowing apple, and that is a straight-up sham shame so yeah. I think that's kind of these devices summed up in this video, but I did want to chat about wireless earbud options. As you know, OnePlus also came out with their own earbuds. Of course, these are called the OnePlus buds and these retail for around a hundred bucks.

So once again bringing some huge value and when you compare that to the price of, say, AirPods, which are around 200, that's again double the price. These honestly don't sound too bad. I wouldn't say they sound better than say air pod pros, but against the OG AirPods. I think the one plus buds give them a huge run for the money. They don't have active noise-cancelling.

Maybe they don't look as sleek or as good, but once again you're saving a hundred extra dollars on a pair of headphones. You know, bass is half decent, they don't sound tinny. I think OnePlus will also sell a ton of these headphones. But let me know your guys thoughts down below in the comments. Are you looking to save money? I know 2020 right now.

It's a bit tougher. I think people will really be focused on value or are you still team iPhone team iOS? I know it's hard to get out of the ecosystem, but let me know which device you would pick and uh hope you guys enjoy this comparison. Furthermore, I'll answer any other questions you have down below in the comments, and let me know if there's any other device you want to see the OnePlus word compared to we'll catch the rest of you guys. Then peace.
