iPhone 12 Vs Samsung Galaxy S20! (Comparison) (Review)

Welcome back everyone time to do another comparison, this time around between the newly released iPhone 12 and the somewhat newly released galaxy s20. Now this phone came out earlier on this year. I think in March of some time the iPhone 12 has been out for a couple of weeks now actually- and I've been saying that for a couple of weeks now, so maybe it's only been like three weeks, but these two phones actually last year. I did these two phones, the successors to one another and you guys loved, seeing that or the predecessors, the iPhone 11 and the Galaxy S10. And this time we have the same exact phones pretty much, but just the leading ones. Now the iPhone 12 is selling for 829 brand new.

The galaxy s20 is selling for a thousand dollars, but I've seen it for even cheaper than that in a lot of places. So keep that in mind if you're trying to get the best bang for your buck, the galaxy s20 is a little cheaper in the used market, and I'll go and find the cheapest ones on Amazon, I'll link them down. In the description you can get them from there and help support the channel. At the same time now, side by side, you can kind of see that the iPhone 12 is longer than the or shorter than the galaxy s20, but it's definitely wider. I think in the hand it definitely feels about the same.

I don't really think there's one big difference, but the galaxy s20 kind of feels a little thinner on the sides. The iPhone 12 feels a little different because of the flat size for sure. Now, on the front of the Samsung Galaxy s20, we have that 6.2 inch, dynamic, AMOLED display, and it's a whole punch display, and it's one of the best panels this year for sure it looks perfect. The colors get extremely bright whatever that means, and it's definitely a perfect panel. I haven't really had too many problems with it even last year with the Galaxy S10.

I thought that was the best panel of that year and I think this year the s20 is also the best panel this year and I think the biggest feature of it is that 120hz refresh rate. That is something that is extremely cool. Unfortunately, no iPhones have it. This year we thought it was going to be brought, but it didn't. But that is definitely something that we have on the galaxy s20, that's for sure a really cool feature, whereas on the iPhone 12, we have that 6.1 inch. Super retina, Dr OLED display- and you know it's not a bad panel with the new addition to the flat sides.

It kind of decreased the amount of bezel we had on the side, so that's cool it has that notch up top, which I think is okay for a lot of people too, but, like I stated before it's kind of becoming an older design earlier on. In my comparisons, I kind of saw that it was kind of about the same, but when you're, comparing it to other androids, especially these like look how much better the galaxy s20 looks than the iPhone 12. You know what I mean like just the way they look kind of you know. The galaxy s20 definitely looks better in my opinion and with the curved display on the s20. It definitely looks far better than the iPhone 12's front panel.

In my opinion, in terms of the thickness, you can see that there's not really one that I think is way thinner or way, thicker, because the galaxy s20 curves on the sides and even on the screen up top it kind of gives the impression that it, you know, is a little thinner, even though it may not be. The camera. Module sticks out so much on the galaxy s20, and I never really liked that compared to the iPhone 12. It definitely is not as noticeable and on the back. You can see that the galaxy s20 has a triple camera setup.

iPhone 12 has a dual camera setup glass backs on both, and they feel pretty much the same in the hand. The galaxy s20 and the iPhone 12 both have wireless charging. The galaxy s20 does have reverse wireless charging, which is really awesome, and on top of that, they both have IP certification, which is cool. The galaxy s20 does have a micro SD card slot, which I really like I mean, of course no iPhones have ever had it, but the galaxy s20 still has it, which I think is really cool. It has USB type-c, which I think is better than the lightning port, but that really pretty much covers it up in terms of the outside.

I think the iPhone 12 is good enough, but with the price increase, it kind of makes it closer in terms of the price tag to the galaxy s20, even the iPhone 12 Pro last year was 6.99 for the iPhone 11 this year, it's 829, which is insane so in terms of the hardware. I think the galaxy s20 definitely wins in terms of the software, though this is where things are interesting. The iPhone 12 will definitely outlast the galaxy s20 in terms of stock software support and that's just a given that happens every single year, anytime, an iPhone comes out. Even if it's the cheapest one like the iPhone 12 mini, it will still outlast pretty much all other phones from all other manufacturers, which that is a huge reason to pick up an iPhone. Now the software experience, if you like, android, go for android.

If you like, iOS go for iPhones, I never really found anyone to be superior to the other one. I do use an iPhone as an everyday device, so I like iOS more, but if I was coming to this blindsided, I, like the longevity of you, know iOS, but I love the flexibility and just you know how much power you have on your device on an android phone. So that's something I really do like about androids, where iOS doesn't really have it. So in terms of software that pretty much covers it up, and I'll go ahead and do a little of a speed test between them. I might, I may do a full one, maybe on my second channel, I'm not too sure, but the iPhone 12 has that Apple A14 bionic chip inside it, with four gigabytes of ram with the Samsung Galaxy s20, has a Qualcomm snapdragon 865 chipsets, with eight gigabytes of ram.

So let's go and see which one is the faster one between both of these okay. Let me go and clear all the apps. In the background, and with this one is pretty easy: the iPhone 12. I still had all my apps open up, so let's probably take a second and there we go so let's go and start loading these bad boys up, let's do their app stores three two one and as I've seen before, the galaxy s20 and just android in general, do open up their play stores faster, but scrolling speeds. I still think the iPhone wins, even though we have the 120 refresh rate on the galaxy s20.

Furthermore, I kind of still feel like we're getting a smoother experience overall on the iPhone 12 in terms of the scrolling speed. So that was very interesting. Let's do phone calls three two ones. Maybe the iPhone 12 is faster there and moving through camera. Three two one and I think the iPhone 12 is faster.

This portion, the rest, I'm not too sure, but this portion was faster on the iPhone 12. I think- and I have a bunch of these third party apps- that we can go and get into. Let's do Facebook, three two one iPhone 12 faster galaxy, s20, low behind fruit, ninja, three, two one and just the animations look at the animations. I mean that was a big difference. In my opinion, it was so much smoother on the iPhone 12, and it was actually faster than the galaxy s20.

So that's a pretty big advantage. I would say that's something. I was not expecting the galaxy s20 to glitch out that much that's crazy in my opinion and do tempo one two three two one: it was a little smoother there. Furthermore, I don't know what it was with fruit, ninja that made that phone totally glitch up and maybe the galaxy s20 will actually load it up faster, and it's looking like it is the iPhone 12 a little behind and when cases like this, I'm not too sure what to make of it, because, like the last one, there was a big difference and this one there's also a big difference, but for the opposite phone. So in this case I mean maybe we'll give it to the galaxy s20.

I mean it definitely won, but I'm not too sure what to make of that specific situation scrolling through, though, and playing the game. I don't really think there's going to be that big of a difference either they're, probably going to look more or less the same. This is a pretty basic game. For the most part, we can do cross road, which I don't have on here. We can do Instagram three two one- and I don't know I was logged into here, so that was pretty bad.

One to snake versus blocks three two one and the galaxy s20 was faster, iPhone 12 a little behind, and again we're getting into this little glitch on the iPhone 12 for some games. For some reason it just glitches up, and it does not play, so I don't know what to make of that one, but you guys kind of saw what happened there. We can do real racing three, three, two one. Hopefully we don't have to download on either one of these phones but, like I even said before, faster and smoother, at least to open it up on the iPhone 12. We may have to download it on the galaxy s20, but that was still very interesting that the animations were so much faster on the iPhone 12, and we can see that quite possibly, we have to download it and we well.

I guess we got into the game. I don't know what to make of this one either a very weird day. Today, that's a 100 certain we can do stack 321, and it was able to get into the ad faster than the iPhone 12. So that's another pretty big difference. We can do BFA three, two one and the iPhone galaxy s20 was faster.

I think the iPhone 12 was a little behind right. There Netflix three, two one yeah. If galaxy s20 was faster. I keep calling this iPhone.12 uh iPhone 12 a little behind you do twitter three, two one and the iPhone 12 is faster. There galaxy has 20 low behind.

So I'm not really to sure what to make of this one. I think they're both like neck and neck. I don't think I would go necessarily from one phone to the other. Just based off the performance. I saw a lot of conflicting stuff.

Sometimes the iPhone 12 is faster. Sometimes the galaxy s20 was faster, so maybe just maybe like if you have an iPhone, 12, and you're thinking about going to the galaxy s20 or vice versa. I wouldn't necessarily think about the performance, because of that you know, I wouldn't say: oh because the performance is better on either one of these phones. I think they're, both about the same. If I had to say it, I don't really think one is way better than the other one ram management seems to be about the same on both as well.

I'm not seeing a huge difference between them, and actually I think that well both of them kind of restarted there. So I think, in terms of speed comparison that pretty much sums it up, but I can do a full one later on if you guys want to see it, but let's go in on the cameras now I actually already did a full camera comparison between these phones. So I'll go ahead, and I guess I'll leave a link down below if you guys want to see it, but the galaxy s20 has a triple camera setup: 12, megapixel, wide 64, megapixel telephoto, then 12 megapixel ultra-wide. The iPhone 12 has a dual camera setup, a 12 megapixel wide and then a 12 megapixel ultrawide sensor, and I pretty much saw you know in that comparison that I think maybe the galaxy s20 was the better phone overall in terms of the camera quality, but also in terms of the camera features you're getting way more features from a galaxy s20 camera you're, getting more lenses, you're getting a lot more capability, but on top of that you're getting that ultrawide sensor, you're getting that telephoto lens, which is really cool, but on top of that you're getting the ability to shoot, 8k videos from the galaxy s20- and maybe that's not a big deal to a lot of you, but by getting that type of feature like right now that is going to future-proof yourself like crazy. You can do 4k 60 on both.

You can do 4k 60 on the front camera as well, but that is still an extremely cool capability that we have on the galaxy s20. We don't necessarily have it on the iPhone 12 GC ad. So in terms of the camera quality, that's pretty much. How I would sum up that video that I made already like, I said I'll link it down below where you can just search your iPhone 12 versus galaxy s20 comparison, camera comparison, and you're probably end up finding that specific video now ending it off with the battery life. I also already did a battery comparison between these phones too, but the galaxy s20 has a 4 000 mill power battery.

The iPhone 12 has a 2815 William hour battery and in this specific case as well, I pretty much saw that the iPhone 12 its battery just wasn't as good as the galaxy s20, which was very surprising to me, because I wasn't expecting that I thought the galaxy s20 was going to be less because of the know, kind of bigger display higher resolution display, but also the 120 refresh rate. I thought for some reason that would have you know tampered with it a little. That was not the case. The iPhone 12 actually didn't beat the galaxy s20. That's 20 actually won by quite a bit of percentage points which is pretty crazy.

So, to kind of sum up the video and to answer the question: should you go and pick up the iPhone 12? Should you get the galaxy s20? What I can tell you is that between both phones, there's a lot of pros and a lot of cons for sure, with the galaxy s20 you're, getting a beautiful phone you're, getting extremely great, build quality, arguably better build quality than the iPhone 12 price wise. It's a little cheaper right now than the iPhone 12, which is pretty cool in the used market, obviously brand new, it's a thousand dollar phone, but in the used market, even on Amazon. I've seen these things go for less than seven hundred dollars, which is a really, really good price to pay for this phone you're. Getting, I think, a better camera setup than the iPhone 12 you're getting better battery life, reverse charging micro, SD card slots um. You know IP certification, just like the iPhone 12, 120 hertz, refresh rate on that display, and it's just a killer phone overall.

I don't really know anything. That's like inherently wrong with it, but when you compare it to something like an iPhone 12, there's just a couple key areas where I think the iPhone kind of wins that the smoothness and the performance I've seen consistently smoother experience on the iPhone 12 side than on the galaxy s20, which is totally okay. It happens, but that's something I have found in the past, which is not a big deal. Also, the software longevity you're getting a longer supported phone on the iPhone 12 than on the galaxy s20. So if that's a big deal to you, then so be it.

If it's not a big deal, then I would say the galaxy s20 may be a better phone for you, but I would still say for everyone: you know. If you have the ability of testing out both you know go for it, but if you don't already have a bias towards android or iOS, I think the better phone for the time being, maybe the galaxy s20, it's like a more flagship type of device, and it's cheaper in a lot of ways than the iPhone 12 in a lot of places. You're getting a better screen, you're getting better camera and those are things that I think a lot more people are going to care about. However, I think more people are kind of more towards iOS as a whole, iMessage FaceTime, all those things, so that may be a bigger deal to you to go pick up the iPhone 12, and I think, that's totally justifiable. I think it's totally okay, but I don't know I don't think there's one that's way better than the other one, but I think the galaxy s20 is the better phone as a whole, but I think the iPhone 12 is still a really decent phone.

You know, I think this has a lot of stuff going for it too, but this one's tough, I think the galaxy s1 is probably the better one between both of these, so that really pretty much covers it up.
