Sony Xperia 1 II vs Pixel 4 vs P40 Pro vs S20 Ultra - Best Night Photos Compared!

Hey welcome to another rooftop reviews. This one is our first ever night special, and we're going to be taking pictures with the Xperia one mark ii, the Huawei p40 pro the pixel 4 and the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra uh, it's the middle of the night in Panama City, and I'm doing a rooftop review. Why uh? Well, because I never went to university. That could be one reason. The other reason is we want to show you just how amazing some of these phones are when it comes to getting perfect night photographs, as ever we'll give you our opinions on what we like and what we're not so keen on so join me as we look at them all now and of course afterwards do. Let me know your opinion because I'll be seeing you in the comments section below: let's do this dungeon steno! If you like this video, please do consider smashing that, like button and if you haven't subscribed already, please do go ahead and subscribe.

We've got some really amazing versus videos and road trip reviews just around the corner so anyway, without any further ado. Let's crack on with this one, so to start things off, I wanted to show you these pictures here with the full moon, because that has affected the images tonight if it's a bit more on the low light side of nighttime than I perhaps would have liked, and you know we're working with this. This is a real life test, so, let's get into it. What we're going to do now is give you all the images that we took, including the EXIF data, so you'll see whether it was in auto mode and if it wasn't, you'll see how we achieved the results that we achieved. So you can have that information.

Let's get straight into all these images now and at the end I'll give you my thoughts, and then we can have that discussion in the comments section below okay, so we left out the obviously awful shots. We've only included ones that we liked, and we've included all the EXIF data in every single one of these, so you'll see if it was taken in pro mode or auto mode or night mode. Of course, we would love to know your thoughts, ideas and suggestions on how you would go about getting the perfect shot at night on the phone that you may have any recommendations that you have. Please do let us know in the comments below we are always interested and have already learned a lot from the comments here in these videos. So we're very grateful for that.

Let's keep that going. We really take a massive interest in that um. The other thing to mention, of course, is not just how different these phones are in general, which is clear you can see from the pictures, but also the extent to which they rely on the use of a tripod um. At the end of these pictures, you'll notice, the last few are tripod versus handheld, and it's pretty clear to me that it is only perhaps predictably, of course, the pixel 4 that really is convincing, with or without a tripod the others to varying degrees. I think it's fair to say you know some more than others do require a tripod for the best possible uh results.

But again, let us know what you think of those and not just these. At the beginning, in the middle see all of them. Let us know your thoughts, and we'll get involved in the comments section cheers so for what it's worth then Andres, and I feel that the results here are a perfect extension from the low light video that we filmed just a few days ago. The pixel 4 is at one end of the spectrum, with a beautiful, almost supernatural look with instant gratification. Very little.

Nothing is needed in terms of tripod or extra gear. To get amazing results at the other end of the spectrum is the Xperia one mark ii you're going to have to work hard, and the results are going to be much more natural. Looking now in the middle, of course, we do have the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra, but actually introducing the p40 pro I'm pleased. We did because I prefer those images, and it's slightly closer to the pixel 4 in terms of the quality of the image, we're getting the style of the image we're getting, but I really enjoyed using the p40 pro here, really cool phone. Actually, I'm going to do some more on Huawei phones in the coming weeks.

So yes, um, that's what we've thought! That's our opinion. I want to know your opinion. So I'll see you in the comments now, let's do a little outro. So thank you so much for watching. If you liked this video, please do smash that like button, if you're not subbed already, please do, because we have some amazing versus videos coming up, which I think you'll really enjoy so there we have it another rooftop review.

If you want more of these videos, let me know if you want less of them. Let me know whatever you want more of, though I'm especially interested in hearing the team, and I are really motivated to create as useful and interesting content as possible. So thank you again, and I'll see you next time. You.
