iPhone 12 Vs iPhone X! (Comparison) (Review)

Welcome back everyone, I'm sure you guys already know that these new set of iPhones have just came out the iPhone 12s and what better time to compare to its predecessor's predecessor's predecessor than right now, so we're going to compare it to the iPhone 10. What's very funny, is you may not even have noticed or been able to tell those bigger differences from the front of which iPhone is which, even though this one has a bigger screen size, the iPhone 12 is on the left. The iPhone 10 is on the right and there's pretty much a little more bezel. I guess on the iPhone 10, but again like the iPhone 10 is such a flawless phone. It has held up the test of time so well, and I just think even if we were to just look at the iPhone 10, it's a beautiful device, and it's held this test of time for sure now side by side. You can definitely see that the iPhone 12 is a little bigger, but it's not like a crazy amount, bigger for as big of a display.

This is they shrunk down the sides of the phone, which is something that's really cool, and I'm really glad apple did it and just because they curved out the edges, or you know, got rid of the curved edges on the iPhone 10 and put on the flat sides here. It doesn't necessarily mean it's just worth the money inherently now the iPhone 10. You can pick up in a lot of places for less than 400 dollars, which is a very important thing to keep in mind the iPhone 12 you can pick up for you know 7.99 over 799 dollars. It's actually 829, so keep that in mind, and I'll find the cheapest ones about these link them down in the description below you can get them from there and help support the channel. At the same time now the front of the iPhone 10 has that 5.8 inch, super retina OLED display, and I've always said that it's a perfect panel apple did a perfect. Job of this Samsung did a good job making this panel, and you know it's 11 25 by 24 36.

That original, you know standard resolution they're done, and they still have it for so long, and I think it was a great panel even now, I still think even like the iPhone 8 plus the iPhone 10r. Those phones had great panels too for being IPS screens, but this OLED panel that apple had been such a good screen, and even now it still looks good. You have force touch true tone, all that good stuff on it and for sure day to day, you're going to have a perfect experience with this phone, even compared to the iPhone 12 Pro. It's not like a way better screen on the 12 pro. It's like just a bigger display and a little change in the body, but pretty much the same displays on both being honest.

You do have that 6.1 inch panel on the iPhone 12, which is cool. The resolution has gone up a little, it's 1170 by 2532, and I think this is a very good panel too, as data before I don't think, there's a lot to hate on it. It's just a little bigger than the iPhone 10, depending on who you are. You may like that you may not, but I personally like it, I like that change in design and change, not even changing the design. It still has a notch and everything, but they shrunk down a little of this.

You know body bezel, which is cool. They shade out the edges. So I think it looks better overall, but still when you look at them in the front like just like right now, you can see they're almost exactly the same. For the most part in terms of the thickness, you can see that apparently the iPhone 12 Pro the iPhone 12 is a little thinner than the previous models. I don't know if it was like super much.

I don't know if it was way thinner than the iPhone 10, but maybe it is, I don't know, but it kind of feels thicker, because when you have it like on the flat sides right here, you're comparing the thickest, it's just you know a thick point across the board versus on the iPhone 10, it's curved on the sides. So it doesn't necessarily feel like it's super thick. You know, even if the iPhone 10 was thicker. It doesn't really feel like that. If that makes any sense and on the back, you have dual camera setups on both standard, pretty much the same type of class backs on both, and you can see how much the iPhone 12 looks like the iPhone 11, it's so funny, and that's why the iPhone 11 still looks like a great device.

The main difference on the outside is that we now have that MagSafe little thing on the back of the iPhone 11. So if I click this right here, you'll see that I'll start charging, but I mean that's on that new sound too, but that really pretty much covers it up in terms of the outside. You have IP certification on both, but it's better on the iPhone 12 ip68 versus ip67 and in terms of the outside. That really pretty much covers it up in terms of software. This is also a really easy comparison, because they're both iOS devices now theoretically the iPhone 12, is going to outlast the iPhone 10.

I think the iPhone 10 is probably going to end off around iOS 16 to iOS 17. The iPhone 12 is probably going to last, like iOS 20, or something like that, but neither one of these devices are going to be. You know outdated tomorrow. So that's a pretty big thing to keep in mind. So if you get the iPhone 10 now or the iPhone 12 you're going to be last for a while.

In my opinion, you still have jailbreak access on the iPhone 10 with a check range jailbreak whenever that comes out for iOS 14. This is the last supported device, iPhone 12, there's no name for a jailbreak. Yet so I guess we'll see what happens, but in terms of software that pretty much covers it up. Now, let's go ahead and do a speed comparison between both these devices. Now the iPhone 10 had that Apple A11, bionic chip, hex core CPU, with three gigabytes of ram on each model, with the iPhone 12 has that Apple A14, bionic chip, score, CPU and four gigabytes on each model.

So, let's go and see which one is the fastest one between both of these okay. Let me go and clear on all the apps. In the background, the iPhone 10 already had all the apps cleared out, which is very funny. Okay, so let's go start loading. These things up.

Let's do phone calls three two ones. Okay, I think even just you know inherently, I already saw that the speed animations were a little slower on the iPhone 10 music, three, two one that one was a little different. You can do safari. We can load up some random web page both were already on apple, so we can go load up, something like Bing, for example. I don't know why this one didn't load up the thing: okay, we'll just let that one go app store three two one and definitely the iPhone 12 was faster there.

I feel like throughout this video. Furthermore, I'm gonna accidentally call this 12 pro, but it's the iPhone 12 the standard one scrolling speeds they look about the same: let's go and click into something random. This one okay, iPhone 10 loaded that one up faster, which is weird, but I think both of them are about the same animations, wise they're, going to be about the same there too. So I have a bunch of these third-party apps as always, so, let's go and start going them up, but instead of that way we're just going to go into the app library, because a lot of my things are messed up. You can do Facebook three two one and iPhone 12 was definitely faster there.

Let's do fruit, ninja three, two one, and you can definitely see the iPhone 12 was way faster there. The iPhone 10 definitely took its time, which is not a bad thing, but that was a pretty big difference. In my opinion, that was very, very peculiar. You can go into Instagram three two one iPhone 12 is faster, iPhone 10 a little behind Netflix three, two one iPhone 12 again is the faster one, iPhone 10 a little behind, not super. Far off again, this one came out in 2017 so paper out of two three two one: it's not as big of a difference as I was expecting.

If I can be completely honest with you again, the iPhone 12 is faster, the iPhone 10 a little behind. But again, is it a big difference? I don't really know like. I don't really see it that way. Furthermore, I just think the iPhone 10 is just a faster one, but I don't think it's like a crazy big difference. If I make it fully honest so far, you know I haven't tested all the apps, yet Quizlet, 321, okay, iPhone 12 is faster, iPhone, 10 a little behind it, real racing three, three, two one, it's a pretty big game, so it may take a second on both phones.

The iPhone 12 is probably gonna finish off, so we did have a little of a pop-up here, that's just like a downloading panel. It's happened before, but I already had it downloaded on here, so it probably shouldn't have had to do that, which is very weird. The iPhone 12 is already done. The iPhone 10, I feel like it's going to take a solid second or two for it to fully go through, so I'll just probably give this one to the iPhone 12, but that was honestly very weird. What happened to the iPhone 10 there again snake versus blocks, 321 and the iPhone 12 is faster again, but the iPhone 10 is right behind it.

Like I know, the iPhone 12 is the faster one, but I'm still really surprised by how well the iPhone 10 is doing in this type of speed comparison, because I was expecting to be much slower in my opinion, or at least there to be a bigger difference. Snapchat 321, okay, iPhone 12, is faster iPhone 10, a little slower, stack, 321, iPhone 12 is faster to load the ad iPhone 10 a little behind it, not a ginormous deal. So that's another thing to keep in mind. We do tempo one two, three two one and the iPhone 12 is looking to be the way faster. One in this case iPhone 10 a little behind not a ginormous deal, though, and that was a pretty big difference.

If, I'm being completely honest, you know the iPhone 10 noticeably, you know noticeable behind, but, like I said before, like if you're, not comparing them side by side, will you notice a big difference? I'm not really 100 to sure. That is something you're going to have to probably ask yourself, but let me see if there's one more app that I can test between them. We can go. Do something like twitter, it's pretty basic one, three, two one. For some reason: it didn't even open on the iPhone 10, which is kind of weird, so we'll just let that one slide too, as we can try.

Thank you three two one so iPhone 12 again is the faster one, the iPhone 10 a little behind. So I mean to kind of sum up this comparison. It's quite obvious. I can definitely tell you the iPhone 10 is not as fast as the iPhone 12 Pro it's pretty much expected. I think the iPhone 12 you know is definitely the faster one, but I also think the iPhone 10 definitely held down its own.

You know, I think it was just a little behind the iPhone 12 and honestly for like a three-year difference for these devices. It doesn't seem like there's been three years of evolution in terms of performance, like everything just seems to be like within, like a couple of you know seconds to milliseconds between them, not trying to say that's, not a big advancement, as you can see, they both restarted this one, but the iPhone's already started faster, that's not to say like seconds, don't count and for how much apple hyped the speed-up on this device. That's very interesting, in my opinion, on top of that Facebook restarted on the iPhone 10 on a bigger game like fruit ninja, let's go and try it out and both of them restarted, but this one didn't have to restart the whole game, so I mean the kind of sum of this comparison. The iPhone 12 is the faster one, but the iPhone 10 is right behind it too, so that pretty much covers that up I'll. Do a full speed comparison at some point, but let's go and hit on the cameras.

The iPhone 10 both have 12 megapixel sensors on all the cameras. One isn't you know way higher in megapixel counter or anything both can do 4k at 60, though, which is pretty important to note, and I find that very weird, because we still haven't gotten any higher on the iPhone 12, even though we have 8k capability now, but we do have an ultrawide sensor on the iPhone 12, where we have a telephoto lens on the iPhone 10. When you look at the UIs of both they're pretty much the exact same thing, we have portrait mode on both and really everything like that, and you know even just from this. You know baseline thing. I was going to show you right here, like they look kind of the same, if I'm being honest like one, doesn't look way better again: the ultrawide sensor, I think I would rather have than the know the iPhone 10s telephoto lens, but I think the biggest difference is the front cameras.

So with the iPhone 10. I think it's a perfect camera. I never had any problems with it. Furthermore, I use this phone as a daily phone for a long time and I had a good time with it. Furthermore, I didn't really have any issues with it, and you can do 4k at 60, but most people only do 1080p at 30 and for a day-to-day phone great camera.

Furthermore, I think for the most part, even in 2020 it still holds up quite well. It's not perfect. You know it can't do 8k. It can't do anything crazy, but the front camera of this, I think, is the bigger problem. It has a 7 megapixel front-facing camera can only do 1080p at 30 compared to the iPhone 12s 12 megapixel sensor that can do 4k at 60.

The quality on the front camera of the iPhone 12 is better than the quality of the front camera on the iPhone 10, which is very important to note now. This phone, for the most part, I think, is perfectly fine too, and it's better than the iPhone 10 as expected. But it's still not perfect. You know no 8k on the back camera, but with that ultrawide sensor. That is something that I really do like, and I'd rather have an ultrawide than a telephoto lens, so that automatically adds points to the iPhone 12.

But on top of that, the front camera of this phone is so much better. You have a 12 megapixel front facing camera here versus the seven megapixel and only 1080p at 30, but you have 4k 60 on this phone, which makes this phone, in my opinion, just that much better overall, so that's a pretty huge asset for it for sure. So when it comes down to the cameras, the iPhone 12 is definitely better than the iPhone 10. Now ending it off with the battery life. The iPhone 10 had a 2716 million power battery.

The iPhone 12 has a 2815 million power battery, and I'll probably tell you for battery life. The iPhone 12 wins, but it's not really as crazy, as you think. I think the iPhone 10s battery life is something about that a11 chip. I don't think, really helped the battery out too much and I think the a14 chip is more optimized. So I'll probably tell you, the iPhone 12 has the better battery life, but I'll do a full battery comparison at some point and show you there so to kind of sum up this video and to answer the question: should you pick up the iPhone 12, or should you pick up the iPhone 10? Well, I'll, definitely tell you if you have an iPhone x.

If you have the money getting the iPhone, 12 is definitely you know this phone is a better phone for sure. Has a lot more capability? Has a lot of going for it? It's you know it's a perfect phone, but I still think for a lot of people. The iPhone 10 is a tremendous phone. Still too, I mean you're getting great screen tremendous build quality for a 2017 phone. It's much, much cheaper than the iPhone 12 about half the price of the iPhone 12 is still getting so.

Software support wireless charging, IP certification and a lot and the performance is only a little slower than the iPhone 12. I don't think day to day you're going to notice it you are getting a better camera on the iPhone 12, but the camera on the iPhone 10 is still good enough for a majority of people, and I think if you have the iPhone 10, it's like a 50 50 things it's like. If you want to go for it, but if I personally had the iPhone 10, I don't think I would go for the iPhone 12. I think I would wait out one more generation because I think the iPhone 13s are going to be wild, but with the iPhone 12 you're, getting a better build quality to some people. You know you might like that newer flat designed edges, this phone is going to be lasting longer in software support.

The screen is bigger and better in some ways which is really cool. You have better IP certification, which is really awesome. You have better performance which is really cool and a little better battery life. The cameras are better on here too, like I stated, and I think overall I mean this is a pretty decent upgrade going from an iPhone 10 to the iPhone 12. I don't think it's a bad upgrade like.

I think it's a pretty good one, but it's not like the best upgrade in the world. It's not like you're going to feel like you have the best phone. If you get the iPhone 12, it just kind of feels, like you're, still missing something with the iPhone 12. When you look at a phone like the galaxy s20, I know nobody wants me to say it, but like that phone has a k that phone has 120 years refresh rate it kind of feels like more of the same. It just seems like it's a little faster but day to day, you're, really not going to notice too many differences.

So that's my opinion, that's kind of what I would think if you guys have any questions or anything.
