Hey guys Danny Boy here and today, I have the Google Pixel three AXL and the iPhone 10s Macs, and you know. Obviously this phone here costs less than half of this phone. Currently, we are about to go through well we're going through the Apple refresh here, so this phone. Obviously, then it's demoted to it's not no longer the flagship device for Apple, its last year's flagship. So you know price drop a little on this one. You know.
Maybe this phone calls half now exactly a what this one costs. Something like that. But the point is I just want to see how this mid-range or stacks up to the 2018 Apple flagship here and in this video I just want to do a speed test and a speed general discussion on these phones. So obviously, here the price of this phone retail is 479 the price of this phone. Originally retail was 1099.
This has the snapdragon 670, which is a mid-range processor, and this has the iPhone the Apple a 12 chip. Okay, now I would liken the 670 in this phone here in the pixel 3 AXL. It feels about on par with a Snapdragon 835 right in there speed wise, so obviously, really this phone, the iPhone. It's not going to cry this phone as far as paper scores go as far as tough intense processes, the iPhone. Here, it's really going to.
Okay, sorry guys got a phone call there. So back to what I was saying this phone, the iPhone, actually is obviously going to crash the pixel three AXL as far as paper scores go as far as intrinsic well as far as in-depth ass, it's going to really crush it. Okay. So that being said, as far as day-to-day usage goes well, that's kind of a whole other area of discussion. The reality is from what I found I mean I used this phone for about eight months.
That's my daily driver and what I have found is that really this phone here, even though it was less than half the cost of this phone, doesn't really feel that different and day-to-day usage speed? Okay, that's just going through basic tasks like reading web browsing texting stuff like that, you know it really doesn't feel that much behind this phone- and you know it's interesting, because what I think it really comes down to is, if you're going to be doing more than the norm on your phone, more than basic tasks and obviously the a12 chip. The iPhone is going to be great of great advantage to you, especially if you're doing video, editing or some type of in depth photo editing, maybe even an audio editing to some degree. The iPhone here is going to be significantly better. There's just no doubt about that, but for most people they're, you know going to be doing the normal everyday tasks that any phone can pretty much do so. The third pixel three AXL is going to be just fine.
Now, why don't? We do a little app launch comparisons just to get an idea if there's any noticeable difference. So do the Bible app here. First about the same thing, I think the pixel three AXL had a slight edge there. Let's see their corresponding app stores, so Google Play versus the App Store on iOS, you know here we go again the iPhone or the pixel three AXL kind of one there here. Let's try a Google app the tasks at.
Let's give that a shot. Okay, pretty similar there. Okay, let's try Firefox focus Wow, I'm kind of surprised here that the three AXL is loading stuff faster, really wasn't expecting that I was kind of expecting the iPhone here to clearly be the winner. Let's see: Wikipedia, hmm Wow, okay, let's try. Let's see dictionary about the same thing on that one.
So how about the cameras? MMM that was close, I really couldn't tell I mean pretty close on that one: okay, that was really fast: okay, iPhones a little faster on that just by a smidgen. So, as you can see there, there's your speed test comparison just in the basic sense. Nothing too intense here but like I was saying you know this phone cost it originally more than double what this one costs, but you really don't see that translate into daily usage. Yes with heavy processing. This will cream this one, but for most people they're not going to be doing that so guys.
You know these are my thoughts on the speeds between both of these phones. Probably a closer comparison would be the iPhone XR versus this phone, but since I don't have an X, R I couldn't go there, but anyway, guys I, hope you enjoyed this video as always, if you're enjoying my videos, be sure to hit that thumbs up button and even subscribe to the channel, but for now peace out.
