iPhone 12 Pro Max 3 Months Later - Incredibly Good!

iPhone 12 pro max is incredibly good by the end of this video you're going to know, after my three months experience whether you should pick up this one now or just kind of wait till later's iPhones this year. So let's go ahead and begin with the body and the build I'll talk about the scratches as well. So I went with the silver model so immediately after about a week of usage, I did notice some scratches all along the edges, little nicks Mars here and there even with a case on I still started to get little nicks here on the stainless steel. But overall you know it kind of waned off. It didn't start scratching much more after that, but over time you will get quite a few scratches here on the stainless steel, especially if you go with this silver color. So do keep that in mind, at least about the silver color, but it's still a very premium durable material.

The phone feels super rock solid and overall, I would say the back has held up perfectly well. I will say that on these camera lenses right here, they do get a little smudgy around here, so I'm constantly cleaning them down, but you know I'm kind of OCD with my phone. I want to make sure it's always looking very clean, so I'm always doing this all day with the iPhone 12 Pro max thumbs up. If you can relate now in the past three months, I found this design to look incredibly good. I mean with the squared edges, it's just a beautiful phone.

It's definitely a phone that a lot of people will probably be putting on their list of phones that they definitely want to get in their life and the iPhone 11 Pro max. I thought it was a more ergonomic, though phone like it just felt more comfortable to hold this one kind of digs into the palm in the corner. So I'm constantly thinking about oh, okay, well, the 12 pro max is so huge, it's a great device, but at the same time you know it looks amazing, but then I'm also thinking it doesn't feel quite as comfortable as the past iPhone 11 Pro max. But still I mean it's kind of like you got to choose, looks or comfort, and I think I'll probably choose the looks here because it just looks so good, and I could deal with a slight, less comfortable feel here on the square edges. Now.

That's not me trying to you know say I'm complaining about this and I don't want them. I want to go back to the curve now. I think they should keep the square because it definitely matches up with the iPads and the other products in the lineup. So I think they should stick with this design. But overall, I would say it's just a little less comfortable, but just absolutely beautiful, looking and really apple always finds this way to kind of set themselves.

Apart from the competition, how many other phones are doing squared edges? Not many so you'll know immediately. If you see this design, that's an iPhone over there. We already knew that with the notch. If you see a notch, you know that's an iPhone, but now they got it with the squared edges too so thumbs up there. Let me know if you like, the classic squirt edges on the iPhone 12 Pro max now display quality for this.

This is an OLED display here, super retina Dr marketed. You can see absolutely beautiful. I mean it's like you're, holding a massive just gorgeous TV in your hand, right here and a mini mobile form factor. You know 6.7 inches and here's another area where the 12 pro max is very good because it does have a 1959 aspect ratio. When you are reading articles and such it has a little of a wider display than some of these 21 by nine 20 by nine aspect- ratio phones, so it just feels wider and more comfortable to read on now it's not quite as wide as like a 16 by nine on the older.

You know iPhone 8, pluses and stuff, but when you do click an article, you do get a perfect wide experience for you know, reading things on the phone, so I think this is one of the better phones for like reading kindle books. You know online articles stuff like that, but back to the overall display quality here you know it's very natural, so you're not going to get an overly boosted saturation, although you can go in accessibility and change the color to like blue and yellow or red and whatever you can just kind of tweak it in the accessibility but out of the box, it's very natural, and it has a ton of usable brightness up to 800 nits. Now some other phones do have higher peak brightnesses. But this one feels like one of the brighter phones. You can actually tweak yourself without having to get into the auto brightness modes.

When the sunlight or external light starts hits the sensors. Then this will boost up to 1200 nits at its peak now this phone right here, 458 PPI. So if we go back over there into news, if you are reading an article here, you will get incredibly sharp text now. There are phones that do outdo this phone. This is not the highest pixels per inch out there, but at these levels it doesn't matter if you're looking at 551 or 458 here, you're not going to see pixels.

So the display- just absolutely is great. You know it gets really bright. It has true tone dark mode. You can schedule all that stuff out really large decently wide here display, but it's held back by one thing, and you know what I'm going to say: it's the 120 hertz also the notch up there, but the notch is with this phone because the display is so large. This is one of the most easily forgettable notches of the iPhone 12s there's so much display area.

You don't even look at it really, so I'm not going to make that a major thing here after my three months, but the 120 hertz. I want to see it because now the Samsung phones definitely feel smoother, but, like I've said before, for a 60hz, this is the smoothest 60 hertz. You can get on a phone, but I just I'm so excited to see how the 120 hertz promotion is gonna. Look later this year on the 13 series, if Apple doesn't do this year, it's just going to seem like to come on at this point now. The software on this phone has run super well from the get-go.

That's what you would expect. However, there have been a couple of security updates, a couple of bug updates on this phone. All the new features here within iOS 14 are just pretty amazing. You know having the widget support on this phone actually makes quite a bit of sense here, because you just have a lot more space. You know with the bigger screen to put widgets and see them very visibly.

I know it's not that hard on the smaller phones, but I just like putting widgets on a larger display just makes more sense in my opinion, versus the smaller phones, which seem more like you should just have the apps on the home screen, but I am missing out on one thing, and that is that this phone does not have a split screen mode, and I'm just going to keep missing this until apple finally brings it here, but other than that you know this is still in its baby stages of software. It should get software updates for years to come, so you don't have to worry much in that respect now performance after three months, incredibly good performance here, whether you're on the Wi-Fi or the 5g. This has the fastest standards out there and where the iPhone 12 Pro max really shines in the performance is the optimization of these applications in the polish. Everything just seems to work. Well all the time.

This is a lag free phone in every sense of that, in every sense of that statement, it's just definitely doesn't have any lag now with the six gigs of ram. It also has catapulted the 12 pro max to a level where you won't really see many reloads on this device. It definitely is earning its pro name here, as the iPad Pro with the six gigs of ram also doesn't seem to have many reloads, so I will say that the 12 pro max, if you care a lot about having the best sustained performance. This is the one you do want, whether you're gaming. This has the lowest amount of throttling of the iPhones, and it should at the highest price point.

It should be this way, but six gigs of ram on this phone feels closer to you know 12 gigs of ram on an android phone. That's how well optimized it is, and if we go to geek bench and benchmarking, like we've done in our speed test, you'll see that the scores just annihilate most of the competition so performance three months later, incredibly good. So when it comes to the camera system on the 12 pro max, it's also incredibly good. But what's impressed me most about this, is the consistency and simplicity of this camera. Considering the complexity of the technology involved, we do have a front-facing camera of 12 megapixel 312 megapixels on the rear.

But if you start to look into, we have sensor shift stabilization. We have f 1.6, we have phase detection autofocus we're also going out of focus there get back in focus, we're back in focus now, but you can see that this camera, when you open it up, any average person can take great results, and that's mostly due to the AI in this phone, the smart HDR combined with you, know just having perfect sensors. They can do well in low light. They have a night shift that automatically turns on. You can go ahead and just change the size of the picture really easy with the tap of a button.

It doesn't require really any skill to take perfect photos on this phone. It doesn't require any camera know-how and I can't say that about every competitor phone now the galaxy smartphones are pretty easy as well. However, those require a little more camera knowledge if you want to take advantage of their pro video modes or pro photography modes. This one right here, though you pop it over in the video you tweak the setting the way you want it, it'll do HDR 10-bit, you can change that turn it off in the settings. If you want it'll, just give you what you want really simply and what's really nice is, like I say, the consistency with this complexity.

What I mean every camera is 12 megapixels, so every camera looks almost the same. You can barely tell you're switching between the lenses. That's what I really love here and then, if we go to the front, you can see that it also has a very consistent 12, megapixel, camera and Apple did include raw for people who know how to use the raw photography know how to tweak and edit their own photos. It's there for you as well, so it combines you know, simplicity of iPhone with pro features. If you know your pro, and you know how to use it professionally, you got that as well.

There might be phones that can do you know 8k video a little better things, but for most users this is going to be one of the best options out there now one of the most impressive areas of this phone as well. It's audio now what you'll notice, if you compare this to other phones, that the audio on here sounds really clear, plus still performs good right now, so imagine how long this one's going to perform? Well, so apple, a13 plus remember this: does it is of the stereo sound? But what's great about it is that at the highest volumes three months later, I've noticed that it just sounds so rich and full. They made sure that there's no, you know like over. You know just super loud scratchy audio at the high end. Everything just sounds good, no matter what there's no tinniness to it.

The audio just sounds good, no matter where you are in the audio. So if you're watching a movie in bed, if you're watching a YouTube video, and you don't use headphones, it's going to sound amazing on this phone. So my three months later, with the battery on this phone, has been pretty darn good as well. I mean this. The title of this video is incredibly good, so I'm not going to say much bad about this phone because there's not much worse with this phone 3687 William hour battery.

Now, while this isn't larger than I believe that the 11 pro max is a little larger, it's still getting a similar amount of time. Let's put this way, this is the only 12 phones in the 12 lineup that I see and was able to get through the entire day of heavy usage, and I mean heavy usage, full brightness using 4k video doing gaming here and there going on website social media all day. This is the only one in the 12 lineup that can make it the entire day doing basically, all the heavy use you want to do so, definitely a full day phone here, it's capable of 20 watt fast charging, and I would recommend getting the optional MagSafe charger. It also charges it pretty quickly, does a pretty good job as well, but battery life definitely a thumbs up here. On the 12 pro max, it's one of the main reasons, if you care a lot about that, you should consider this one and one of the most underrated things about the 12 pro max is just the overall improvements to the modems.

We do have the Qualcomm modems in here now, so you're, getting an excellent phone call reception, excellent mobile performance with the 5g over here I mean 5g too. Let's, let's not even act like that's just improved that's. This is the first big iPhone with 5g, so you're, getting very fast speeds and apple's going to be selling tons of these going forward even now because they have 5g. So you know this is set up for the future here, set up for the future of having a good long-term phone with good mobile performance and good call quality for years to come. So this is very underrated, but it's one of the main reasons why you might want to consider the 12 pro max coming from your 10s max or coming from your 8 plus, for example.

So, in conclusion, can I recommend the 12 pro max after 3 months, and the answer is absolutely yes. This phone is incredibly good and there's only one area where I would say stay away from this and wait to the 13, and it's the 60 hertz display. If you want promotion, that is the main thing that I think you're actually going to notice on. The next iPhone is the promotion display. So if you're a display, snob, and you're like yep, I have to have the 120 hertz.

I don't want that.60 hertz then you'll want to skip this one out, but you know they're going to be obviously better cameras better processor, but I think the 120 hertz is going to be the thing you basically are going to see big updates on the 13. You might also see a reduced notch, so if this kind of things bother, you wait it out, but if you need a phone now you're looking for the best big iPhone. This is definitely the one to get right here, not saying you'll get a bad phone. If you go with the 11 pro max of last year, that's also a good phone, but if you're planning on you know plopping down some money and keeping it a long time, you might want to consider 12 pro max so thumbs up. If you found this video helpful entertaining informing- and let me know what else you want to see going forward down below in the comments section and if you have an 11 pro max, consider sharing your experience with the community down below in the comments I'll catch you all in the next episode be sure to stay safe, stay well, nick here and peace.

You.
