iPhone 12 Mini Vs Google Pixel 5! (Comparison) (Review)

Welcome back everyone time to do another comparison. This time around between the newly released iPhone 12 mini and the newly released Google Pixel 5. This is a pretty new phone too. Now these two phones are actually some cheap phones from both their manufacturers. The pixel 5 cost 650 to pick up the iPhone 12 mini cost 729. To pick up, so I will find the cheapest ones about these link them down in the description below you can get them from there and help support the channel.

At the same time now, side by side, you can definitely tell the iPhone 12 mini is the much smaller phone compared to the Google Pixel 5. As you can see, I think the entirety of the 12 mini can pretty much fit inside the phone in terms of the panel on the pixel 5, which is pretty impressive, and the Google Pixel 5 has that 6 inch OLED panel on it, and it's actually an overall perfect panel. You have pretty much a little of bezel around the whole entire panel. Not that much. I think it's even less than the 12 minutes.

To be honest, and you don't have a notch, you actually have a hole punch display on the Google Pixel 5, which I'm really happy about, I'm glad it doesn't have a notch, or anything like that. So this panel looks perfect, and you also have a 90 hertz refresh rate on the Google Pixel 5, which that in and of itself is a huge deal. In my opinion, I'm actually really, really happy about that on the iPhone 12 mini. On the other hand, you have a smaller 5.4 inch super retina, MTR OLED panel, and it's a perfect panel too. I've said this over and over again, like this phone screen is perfect, and I think apple makes perfect panels for sure, and it has a higher PPI which is pixels per inch than the Google Pixel 5.

So technically a sharper display on this than this, but I think both panels are perfect for the most part, and I don't know if one necessarily wins each time, but I'll probably tell you, the pixel 5's 90hz refresh rate is definitely a far better thing than the 60hz on the iPhone 12 mini in terms of the thickness between them. As you can see, the iPhone 12 mini is definitely I don't know if it's thinner, they actually look kind of the same, because the pixel 5 kinds of curves at the edge. You would assume that the pixel 5 feels thinner in the hand, but I think they both feel roughly around the same, and you can see right here. The iPhone 12 mini has a dual camera setup, and so does the pixel 5, the glass back on the iPhone 12 mini, feels perfect. The pixel 5 has this aluminum build that doesn't really feel like aluminum and the fingerprint sensor right here.

I do think the iPhone 12 mini does feel overall, more premium than the pixel 5, but the pixel 5 is also a cheaper phone. So it's not really a crazy big deal both of IP certification. Both have wireless charging. The pixel 5 does have reverse charging, which is really cool and, in terms of the outside I'll, definitely tell you. The iPhone 12 feels like a more premium device.

The flat sides are really nice and also because of the glass back and the overall. You know premiums of this phone. That really makes this phone feel that much better the pixel 5 looks better in some areas, especially the display, but it just doesn't feel as good as the iPhone 12 mini. So I'll tell you. The iPhone 12 mini feels like the better phone, but the pixel 5 probably has a better display when it comes down to it.

Now, in terms of the software, these both luckily are going to be lasting as probably the longest for both their manufacturers. The iPhone 12 is the longest lasting iPhone as of right now, the pixel 5 is one of the longest lasting androids right now, so whether you get the pixel 5 or the iPhone 12 just know that both of them are going to be lasting for a very long time for both manufacturers, but the iPhone 12 will probably end up lasting longer than the pixel 5. So definitely keep that in mind. I think the pixel 5's, like I said it's going to be lasting a very long time for an android standpoint, but the iPhone 12 is probably going to end up outlasting the pixel 5 when it comes down to it. So in terms of software that pretty much covers it up too.

Now, let's go into a speed comparison between both phones, the iPhone 12 mini has that Apple A14 bionic chip inside it, with four gigabytes of ram, where the pixel 5 has that Qualcomm snapdragon 765 g chipset inside it with eight gigabytes of ram. So let's go and see which one is the faster phone between both of these okay. Now that we're back, let me go and put the apps in the background which are already cleared, so let's go loading them up. Let's do phone calls three two ones. I think the iPhone told me was the faster one: let's go and do their app stores, three two one and the pixel 5 was faster.

I think a little the iPhone 12 mini was a little slower, but look at the animation speed, look how much faster the iPhone 12 mini or just how much smoother that phone is than the pixel 5. That's a really, really big thing to note now, as I always have a bunch of these third-party apps. Let's do fruit ninja three two one, and I think the animations on the android side have always been a little weird and the pixel 5 included. I think it's better than a lot of other androids, but it's still not as great you can see. The iPhone 12 mini was far faster than the pixel 5.

So that's a really, really big thing to note hopping out of these two: let's do the next one, which is twitter. Three two one, the twelve mini, was faster, the pixel five, a little slower. Let's do Facebook three two, I don't even have it. Let's do Tumblr on two three two one, and you can see the 12-minute does seem to be faster overall than the pixel 5. So it's a pretty big thing to keep in mind as well.

We do get a little of a low power mode pop-up. So I will tell you the 12-minute probably was going to win there. The big survive was a little slower. Let's do BFA three two one, and I am not on low power mode. So keep that in mind.

So the performance is still going to be the same, and the 12 minute was the faster one. Here too Quizlet three two one told me was faster iPhone or the pixel 5 was a little slower. Let's do Netflix three two ones. Now it's probably not going to load here. I've had issues here before.

Oh, it did end up loading so still slower than 12 mini. Let's do snake first blocks three two one you can see. Actually, the pixel 5 was faster there, let's get into some gameplay, and there may be some differences, oh glitchy, on both, but for sure the 12 mini was a little slower there. Thank you. Three two one and the pixel file was actually faster there pretty interesting stuff.

The 12 mini is a little slower there. Let's go and hop out of this one. The gameplay was going to be about the same stack three, two one and a little of a pop-up here. I guess I think, maybe the pixel I was gonna, win that one. Let's do paper, I o two, which I don't think I have, or I do three two one, and you can see the pixel 5 was the faster one, the 12 minute a little slower getting into some gameplay and see.

If there's a difference again- and there may not be- I think, there's going to be about the same, but the pixel 5 was faster there, let's go and end it off with the real racing. Three two one and you can see the iPhone 12 mini- was a little slower. The pixel 5 was the faster one there. So to kind of sound this comparison. I'll, definitely tell you there's a lot of flip-flopping.

You know there were times the pixel 5 was faster. There were times that the iPhone 12 mini was faster, and I don't think there was a consistent winner. I think the ram management is still a humongous issue for the 12 mini, as you can see that just restarted that very first app, the pixel 5 was able to keep those in the background. So when it comes down to the raw speed and performance, I think they're about the same. But when it comes down to the ram management, as you can see, I think the pixel 5 is probably the better one.

When it comes down to it, I will do a full speed comparison. If you guys want to see it, let's go and hit on the cameras, as stated before, the 12 minute has a dual camera setup: 12 megapixel wide and 12 megapixel ultrawide sensor with the Google Pixel 5 has a dual camera setup as well: a 12.2 megapixel, wide nickel lens. Then a 16 megapixel ultrawide sensor. Now, I'm not too sure if one camera is way better than the other one. You know they both have pretty much the same exact setup and I think I've already done a full camera comparison.

I just have not uploaded it yet. So whenever I upload it, and you know, go through it, then I'll go ahead, and you know get my full opinions there, but I pretty much saw that the iPhone 12 mini did perfect in the photos and the pixel 5 did perfect in photos too, but I think it did better in the video quality, which is very surprising on the back of this phone, you can do 4k 60, but on the front you can only do 1080p at 30, which is definitely one of my sadder aspects of this phone, and I wish it could do 4k on the front. It is what it is, but the 12 mini for sure I think, has an overall, better camera setup when it comes down to it. You have that dual camera setup, like I stated you know you have that you have 4k 60 on the back, but you also have 4k 60 on the front, which is huge. That ultrawide sensor is awesome, which is the same thing.

The pixel 5. Have you had portrait mode just like the pixel 5? You have night mode and stuff, just like the pixel 5. So there's a lot of similarities here, and I don't think there's one. That's necessarily the winner. I think the pixel 5 did a perfect job in the camera quality in terms of video, like I stated, but because the iPhone 12 mini has that 4k 60 on the front.

That really adds a lot more character to the phone. You know, I always say it, and it's the truth and that's kind of what I would say in this case too, now ending it off with the battery life. I will tell you from what I've seen the pixel 5's battery life is probably going to be better than the iPhone 12 mini. This one has a four over four thousand million power battery. This one has a 22 27 William hour battery, something like that.

So definitely when it comes down to it, they both have wireless charging and stuff, but I think the pixel 5 will probably end up winning when it comes down to the battery life. So kind of sum up this video and say answer the question: should you go and pick up the iPhone 12 mini? Should you pick up the pixel 5. , I'm going to move that phone out of the way? What I'll tell you is that I don't know if there's like a winner here for sure I think both phones definitely have their strong attributes again, if, like you like an iPhone, get an iPhone 12 and if you like, android, get the pixel 5, but I will tell you if I had to choose one. I think I would temporarily choose a pixel 5 for the short term features. You know, you're getting the 90 hertz refresh rate you're, getting a perfect camera for the most part, a better looking display.

I think, but the things that I don't like about here, the 12 mini pretty much fixes things like you know the better, build quality for sure, better camera setup. You know smoother performance overall and longer software support on the 12 mini. Those are things that the iPhone 12 mini actually has, and I think, with the pixel 5 for its price tag, and it's cheaper than the 12 mini. That makes it that much better of a phone. I think and price tag really does determine a lot.

I think for at least for me. So that's pretty much what I would say about that standpoint. I think, with the 12 mini you're, getting a perfect quality phone. You know this is the one of the better iPhones. It's the cheapest iPhone 12s, but so it's a perfect phone has a lot of capability.

It's not like a cheap phone by any means, and I will definitely tell you like this- is a perfect contender to the pixel 5. I feel both in the hand the 12 mini definitely feels like a more premium solid device, but in every other category the pixel 5 is pretty much right there with it. You know, performance was, you know, hand to hand. The iPhone 12 obviously had you know worse ram management than the pixel 5, so that was obviously very weird to me as well, so I don't know what to make of it. I will tell you if it came down to both of these.

I would probably end up picking a pixel 5, but I think the iPhone 12 mini is also a perfect phone too. Honestly like this is so close, like I think the 12-minute, honestly. Actually, I don't know like I thought at first, the biggest fight I would go for, but now I think about it as well- maybe a better one like I don't know it's very close, but hopefully you guys kind of figured it out after this comparison, I'll find, like I said, I'll link both these links down below, but if you guys have any other questions or anything, let me know in the comment section as well hit the like button.
