iPhone 12 Mini Unboxing! (Blue, 64GB)

Well here we finally are one person unhealthily obsessed with phones and one tearful, farewell to my old handset later. The iPhone 12 mini is finally here in my hands, and I'm about to see how small it really is in person, hello, everyone, tom here welcome back to tech spree and, I hope, you're doing well. Today's video is going to be a bit of a small and fast one, a bit like the phone I'm about to unbox. Here now I will be doing a full review on the iPhone 12 mini a bit later on this channel in about two weeks time. So please make sure you hit that subscribe button and turn on the notification bell so that when it does come out, you don't miss it. I would also appreciate it if you follow my Instagram at tech, double underscore spree and my Twitter at techs31 for more channel updates behind the scenes clips and upcoming videos, I'm not going to open this phone until you do.

Okay, have you followed them good? Let's hop into this. So just taking a quick look at the box in terms of markings, it's a pretty standard! iPhone box, you know we get a picture of the iPhone on the front. We get some apple and iPhone branding on the sides and on the bottom we get a bit of information about the uh box contents and storage size. Now the box of the iPhone 12 mini has shrunk pretty significantly compared to last year's packaging. As you can see, it's about half the height, and this isn't because uh, the small phone doesn't need much box, but because Apple has actually gone ahead and removed the charging brick from all iPhone boxes.

Apparently this was to reduce e-waste, but I'm not sure how much of that is true and how much of it is just a money grab from apple by forcing people to go out and buy 30 charging bricks, and so without further ado. Let's go ahead and peel back the plastic on this box and now for the big reveal: oh wow, oh wow, that is a that is a tiny, tiny phone wow. It's a lot smaller than it looked in like um pictures online, like on apple's websites or on other reviews, wow. That is a truly tiny phone right. There, the phone feels really secure in my hand as well.

It's a huge difference in terms of size from my iPhone 11, and it's a lot lighter as well. It feels a lot more comfortable to hold alrighty guys. The time has come for the most satisfying part of the unboxing. So while I boot up this phone, if it has any charge in it doesn't come on. Okay, there we go nice.

Let's take a look at the rest of the box contents in the rest of the box. We um, we don't get a charging brick as I mentioned earlier, but we do get this lightning to USB c cable, although I'm not sure why they picked USB over just the regular USB, because not many people have that. I think it's just a scheme to get people to buy their charging brick and, along with that, we also get this little pouch. We got the sim tool, we got some instructions, and we get a singular apple sticker and I think that the small pouch, even though it's on every other iPhone model this year. I think it does go really well with the small phone, so first impressions of this phone um.

It is very good-looking, I must admit, I love the new straight edge design or the old one. I should say the dark blue is an amazing color, although I did consider buying the green for a while, but I thought the blue kind of stood out a bit more. So just a quick size comparison. This is the iPhone 4 and this is the iPhone 6s, which is basically the same size as the uh six, seven and eight. So if you're coming from one of those that'll be handy for you, but I'm sure no one's using the four anymore, but it's just a good indicator to see how they've sort of gone back to that small design, it's actually smaller than the iPhone 6s.

So if you're going to upgrade from the six or seven or eight or even the 2020 iPhone SE, maybe um that'll be a good indicator to show you how small it really is compared to it. So all in all, pretty good unboxing experience, although the lack of the charging brick is a bit of a bummer now I will be back in two weeks with my full in-depth review of this phone. So please make sure you hit that subscribe button and turn on the notification bell so that when it does come out, you don't miss it, and also, please follow me on Instagram at tech, double underscore spree and Twitter at tx31. Thank you. So much for watching, and I'll see you next time.

You.
