iPhone 12 (Biggest Problems & Best Features After Daily Use for One Month)

So, one month ago, apple announced the iPhone 12. And in the first month there was a lot of excitement around this phone, a lot of first impressions, a lot of camera tests, but now that it's been a month, it's time to get away from the specs and actually look at what this phone is like on a day-to-day basis. So I've been using this every single day as my daily phone. So in this video I want to share with you the best features and the biggest drawbacks. I found the biggest headaches I found after using this phone every day for a month, and the first thing to note is that this is the iPhone 12, not the pro, not the pro max, not the mini, because I think this is the phone that is going to be best for most people. It's offering a lot of what the pro models offer, except the extra lens at a much lower price, which is why I think a lot of people would be very happy with this.

But, like I said, we have a lot to talk about in this video. Let's get into it. The first thing I want to talk about is a pro with this phone specifically compared to a lot of more flagship phones out there. So this is that it really doesn't collect any fingerprints. I noticed that a lot of glass back phones just get covered in fingerprints, but this one, especially in this light green here, you can really hardly see any fingerprints unless you really catch the glare, the right way and even then they're really not that bad and furthermore, when you're, comparing this to like the pro and the pro max the side rails on this absolutely get no fingerprints at all, whereas on the pro it just gets covered in fingerprints within a couple of minutes.

So if you plan on not having a case, that's definitely a big advantage here now, of course, some people were a little upset that this only had a 60 hertz refresh rate, which is the same as every previous iPhone. So if you're looking to buy this chances, are your current phone already has 60 hertz anyway, and you won't notice the difference. But if you have something like the galaxy, s20 and you're considering this, then you should probably be aware that going down in refresh rate is a little weird in a way it kind of hurts your eyes, but that's just something that a very small situation, very few people are going to notice that and now practically speaking as far as the cameras go, I know a lot of people might be concerned with buying the iPhone 12 versus the iPhone 12 Pro like. Is it okay to not have the telephoto lens and honestly after using this for a month, I found that I really didn't miss that that much there were a couple situations where I wish I could zoom in and have a higher resolution photo, but for the most part, the vast majority of my photos, I would just use the wide-angle lens, and that was perfect, or maybe I would move it move a little closer if I could. But it was like the wide angle and the ultra-wide really give me every situation that I needed for the entire first month of using this phone.

So I really had no problem with that. Night photos are excellent on this, as I can show you guys right here, and I mean, like I said, really all you're missing. Telephoto lens is not it's not something. I really use that much, maybe if you're at like a sporting event, you want to take a picture of your kid and in the really far away it could be nice to have a telephoto lens, but now getting into the first drawback. This is something that is related to what I said.

You might want a case. This is MagSafe now MagSafe is such a cool feature. I know a lot of people were so excited. I was excited about it, but actually testing it out. Furthermore, I found that I'm going to go on a short rant here about what I think the problem with MagSafe is so, first, pretty much every flagship phone you're going to buy these days has wireless charging.

So that's not anything especially new, even the iPhone SE right here has wireless charging, but having MagSafe allows you to do like three big things that apple advertises, and maybe we can do more in the future. But the first thing is that you can use the MagSafe charger and the benefit is that it allows you to perfectly line up your charging now. The problem that I found from this, however, is that it kind of defeats the purpose of wireless charging. I think wireless charging is, so you can just drop your phone down pick it up. It's just so much quicker.

You don't have to line up a cable and set it down now with this, it's easy to set it down, but whenever you pick it up, you're going to have to pick it up and then basically unplug a cable. So in a way it's not that different from wired charging. Now, when we talk about the next thing that apple advertises, it's the cases, and I'm not really going to get into this- I think a magnetic case we all know- doesn't really serve that much of a purpose. I mean my case has never fallen off when you didn't have a magnet and then the third thing that apple advertised was the wallet on your phone, which I thought the whole purpose of that was so that it's attached to your phone, and you can't possibly lose it, but when it's magnetic every time you slide it in or out of your pocket, there's a decent chance that it could come off of your phone. Now with that being said, there are some cool cases out there that I think kind of do what MagSafe wants to do so this one right here, I'll link it down below, but it's really cool.

So it's a regular case that the wallet comes on and off, but in a much more mechanical way, so you can actually slide the wallet off sideways when you need to charge it and then, when you click it into place, you can be very confident that your wallet is never going to be disconnected, and it's not going to ever fall off. So to be clear, I'm not complaining about the mag save feature on the iPhone itself. It works just fine and obviously doesn't take away from the phone at all if anything, I'm more so underwhelmed by the accessories' apple released for MagSafe. I think that the three that they chose to release really didn't provide any significant value, but I am definitely very excited that this feature is in this phone, and it's a great reason that you know if you're looking at the iPhone 11 versus 12 I mean MagSafe is definitely something on the pro list for the 12. I'm excited to see what third party accessories come out in the next year and just as a quick aside guys if you're interested in learning more about the iPhone 12 Pro or the mini, I actually will be making quite a few more comparisons.

Videos with those- or maybe, if you just like this style of video, consider going down and clicking the subscribe button and the bell icon, so you're notified when those videos come out and so getting back to some positives with this phone, the first one is actually the haptics on this phone. I thought were really excellent, so the vibrations for notifications or feedback when you're doing stuff on the phone, it's very strong, and it doesn't feel mushy at all. I think they did a great job with that, and another big positive is obviously the display this one you can see in the specs, but after using this every single day, I can confirm that it's really easy to see this in broad daylight. Your pictures, your videos, everything, looks really crisp with the higher resolution on this and the colors. Just look so much better with that strong contrast that this now has so the display is an excellent positive that is very noticeable when you're using this phone now I know he said the MagSafe charger is not quite where it needs to be yet, but it does actually charge slightly faster, so 15 watt wireless charging is a big plus there and really the solution that I found us.

If you can just like glue this down somewhere on a table, then suddenly you have a fully functional wireless charger. That also does the self locating. So I think that is the solution that I'm going to continue to use. Maybe not everyone wants to glue this on their table, but I think it's a good way to do things now. Another big benefit with the iPhone 12 is actually that, despite having a larger screen and a smaller physical battery in comparison to the iPhone 11, the battery life is pretty much unchanged.

It easily gets me through an entire day very consistently and the beginning of the next day, and if you have a wireless charger that you put it on for 20 minutes here and there, your phone will really never die. So I think that's a great thing that I mean they're, able to manage that 5g, depending on the network. You're on, could definitely suck a lot of power. The network that I'm on is not using millimeter wave 5g, so it's definitely not draining it nearly as fast as some other ones, but I mean all things considered. The battery life is pretty good and so guys other than that.

I have to say after using this phone for a month, there's really not a lot. That's different! It feels very similar to every other iPhone I've ever used. I really like the boxy edges, like I said in a lot of the earlier videos, but I think this is a solid phone to get. I think that there's really no drawbacks to it, even though MagSafe is not quite where it needs to be. Furthermore, I think it has a lot of potential, and I think buying this phone is an excellent option for a lot of people out there.

So I wish I could have found more negative things to point out, for you guys I usually try to find like as many little subtle drawbacks, but there really were not many with using this phone. I found that it was a really solid device, and so I hope you guys enjoyed this video if you did consider liking and subscribing down below, leave any comments with questions you have about this, because I am still using this as my everyday phone. So let me know if you guys want to know anything else about this phone thanks for watching guys I'll see you next time, you.
