iPhone 11 vs. Pixel 4a 5G Comparison: Best Midrange Phones?

Hello and welcome back to another video, so today I decided to compare the iPhone 11 to the Pixel 4a 5g. These two are quite similar in price tag, as well as size and a couple different areas, so I decided it might be a good comparison for you guys. We will go through a bunch of categories and name a winner for each category and at the end, I'll give my final score of who won for me personally, but you guys can. Let me know who won each category for you, but before we start that I just want to say: sold new the Pixel 4a 5g is 500. Where the iPhone 11 is six hundred dollars. Both phones only have one biometric option.

The Pixel 4a 5g has the fingerprint scanner and the iPhone 11 as face ID in today's world. I find face ID a lot less convenient than the fingerprint scanner, especially pulling it out of your pocket. It's a lot easier to get the phone unlocked quicker with the fingerprint scanner, which is something I personally enjoy, but just because we can unlock the phone faster with the 4a.5G does not mean the phone is faster with performance, it's hard to beat the a13 bionic and unfortunately, Qualcomm 765g stands no chance against it. That being said, the 765g is not a bad chip, but the 813 bionic is hard to match, and overall performance of the iPhone 11 is just a lot better than the pixel for a 5g. In most light tasks, you won't notice a huge difference, but those heavier tasks.

You do, for example, gaming. I enjoyed the display of the pixel 4 a5g better when I game, and it plays most games well, but I'd have to choose the 11 for gaming, of course, because it plays every game very smoothly, and you don't have to worry about any performance drop. So the point for performance and gaming goes to the iPhone 11. Now I did mention that I like the display of the pixel more than the iPhone 11 when it came to gaming, and that is due to the design of the pixel 4 a5g. Here we get a 6.2 OLED display with a hole punch cut out at 1080p, both the 4a and the iPhone 11 have flat displays, and I like that more for my personal usage. However, for me the pixel 485 g's display is better because the iPhone 11 has a sub 1080p lcd, which it's pretty good for an lcd, but I would have much rather had OLED and 1080p, at least as for the design.

The iPhone 11 feels like the more premium phone given. That is, a glass back in front and aluminum side rails, but I actually do like the lightness and the durability of the plastic on the pixel 4 a5g. No, it doesn't feel as premium, but it doesn't feel cheap to me. Therefore, for the display and design category, I am giving it to Google's Pixel 4a 5g, mainly because of the big display difference all right. Now.

I want to talk about the software, and please note it's hard to be objective on which software is better, because people are going to have their own personal preferences. Some people prefer iOS. Some people prefer android, but if you have no preference I'll try to lay out some things for you, both phones run a very clean and snappy software, but for me, I prefer stock android over iOS 14, because you get a lot of those smart. Google features as well as the customizability of android things like now playing the Google Assistant, the recorder, app that goes in real time and call screening and spam filtering on the pixel are all things that I just really enjoy using, and they make a big difference to me personally, but with iOS 14, you are getting more features than you had in the past with iOS, including picture in picture and widgets. With that said, what's special about Apple's software here is the ecosystem.

Things like FaceTime, airdrop iMessage, and the syncing between your Apple devices is just so good on here, and it's better than anything on the android side. In my opinion, and then we have to talk about software support because the iPhone has much longer software support. The iPhone 6s, for example, has had six versions of iOS and nothing on the android side can really compete with that. Google does a pretty good job in the android side with three years of guaranteed. Software updates- and this all makes this category very hard, because I do prefer using stock android over iOS 14.

, but because of that long, software support from apple and the fact that I do still like using iOS 14, I'm giving this category to the iPhone another. Very tough category is the cameras. Both phones have a very similar setup with a wide sensor and an ultra-wide sensor. That being said, the iPhone's ultra-wide sensor does have a larger field of view than the pixels one, but both are still good for stills. I prefer google's pixel 4 a5g.

The contrast and overall detail is better in my books. Yet the iPhone stills are still very solid for video, the iPhone defeats, the Pixel 4a 5g in dynamic range and just overall detail. Google has improved in stabilization from past years, and they've improved on the video side as well with putting more emphasis on it. If you take more videos than photos, I'd probably pick the iPhone. If you take more photos than videos, I'd probably pick the pixel, given that both are good in both video and photos, and I personally prefer taking more photos than video, I'm going to choose the Pixel 4a for this category.

Battery life is another area where both phones thrive in. I would be happy to use either. The pixel has the larger William hour capacity that doesn't always tell the story of battery life, though, because we've seen iOS do really well with lower capacity batteries. I actually have found the pixel 4 a5g to get similar battery life than on my 11 pro max, meaning it has just excellent battery life. For that reason, the win goes to google here by a decent margin, and I'll show you some of the screenshots I had from days with the pixel 4 a5g, and I have to give this to google, of course, because at least they come with a fast charger in the box.

I'm calling the final category the extras, because these are the features that may not be main category features but still make a significant difference. Let's start with the iPhone, the iPhone has an IP rating. It has wireless charging, which are two things I value a lot. The iPhone has a better speaker system and better haptic feedback. With that said, the speaker system on the pixel 4 a5g, is still good, and it's a stereo pair.

In addition, the haptic feedback from the pixel 4 a5g is probably the best I've used on android. Now the pixel, on the other hand, has 5g. It has a headphone jack for you, audio enthusiasts, which may make up for the speaker system not being as good as on the iPhone 11. The pixel has USB type c rather than lightning, and the pixel has 64 more gigabytes of bass, storage than the iPhone 11. I'm probably missing a couple of these extra features, but overall the iPhone does take this extras' category for me, just because I value a lot of the things that it has.

My final score was four to three in favor of the Google Pixel 4a 5g, so it was a very close battle. Many of the categories could have gone either way at some point. Please note that also a certain category may be more important to you and may influence which you decide to pick for you. The iPhone could have your most important category by a decent margin, and thus that would be the reason you would pick it either way. These are two excellent phones that I could recommend to the vast majority of people and both are priced well new right now, so that's been it.

I hope you enjoyed tell me who won for you down below, and peace.
