iPhone 11 & 11 Pro Hidden Features! New Apple Secrets

This video is brought to you by Rhino shield yo. What's up guys Sam here, I have the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 11 Pro in hand right now, I've been spending some time with these devices and I want to show you some hidden features and changes that you probably don't know about. Obviously, there's a new camera, obviously there's a faster processor and, of course, the battery life is better year over a year. But I want to show you guys, some really neat stuff that you probably didn't even know. Apple had been working on if you're looking forward to that drop. A like down below hit subscribe for more on the iPhone 11 I want to go ahead and get started with the new glass in the iPhones this year.

Now you know that on the iPhone 11 Pro there is a new frosted texture. But did you know that the glass on both of these phones, even though the iPhone 11 isn't frosted, is actually the strongest glass in an iPhone to date and Apple claims it's the strongest glass in a smartphone ever now, I personally am NOT planning to go out and throw my phone on the sidewalk, because I don't exactly want to test that claim, but according to sources online, it's already done better than any iPhones have done historically. So the truth of this is that if you drop it once, it might not be the end-all be-all and to be even more safe, I throw a Rhino showcase on my phone, each and every single year to make sure that when my phone might fail, my case will not I've been working with rhino shield, who sponsored today's video for such a long time. I couldn't even tell you when we started working together. The reason I keep having them back year after year is because I don't use any other phone cases.

There is a style for you, no matter what kind of case you like. If you want that full device protection get a solid suit for me, I like something a bit more lightweight, I love bumper cases, so I use a crash guard or mod an X case. They have insane draw protection plus they're, even working on impact skins. Now we're, instead of just looking aesthetically cool on the back of your phone, you could like to hit the back of your phone with a hammer, and it will not crack because of the way they've reinforced it. Those aren't out for the new phones yet coming soon, but if you have an older device like an iPhone 10 or iPhone 10s, they are out for those devices.

Now right now, you guys can get 15% off your order using code, I update and clicking my link down below, which is an insanely good deal in a world where everyone makes an iPhone case. There's a reason. I choose rhino shield each and every single time. Next up. Well, both the iPhone 11 models get a new camera app.

They also get something to that camera app that no iPhone before has ever had, and that is a new camera font. Apple is calling it SF. Camera stands for San, Francisco, camera, San, Francisco, being the font of the iOS operating system, and you know camera being the camera app. You don't notice it until you compare it to something like the iPhone 10 R, for example, and you'll notice immediately. There is a subtle difference in font choice.

Now it's no secret that Apple had an obsession with detail, but I think this might be taking it a step too far, something else that you might not notice right away. Inside the camera app, it's a new feature called it quick take. Now it used to be burst mode, but now on the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 11 Pro. If you keep holding down on the camera shutter button traditionally I would take a lot of photos now. It actually starts recording video.

So if you ever want to capture something at the moment and a live photo or even burst, photos aren't enough to do it. Justice just hold down, and you get quick, take exclusive to the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 11 Pro. Unfortunately, though, I think a lot of the time. This is going to end up in vertical video, which is a story for another day, but it's not great either way you might be able to capture that moment now that you couldn't exactly get before you bought the new iPhone when you take photos that require flash, the flash is now brighter on both the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 11 at pro now this one was fascinating, because I saw the flash on the iPhone, 10, R and I said well, I can't really get much brighter and then I nearly went blind legitimately looking at the iPhone 11 flash I, don't know how Apple actually made it this much brighter year-over-year, but I'm, recording the voice over right now and like two three minutes later, I'm still seeing something in the middle of my eyes, so health wise- it's probably not the best thing, but if you want a really good-looking photo in low-light, then yeah. This is the way to go.

Get one of these new iPhones. It's an it's very bright I! Don't know if the video camera does it justice just see what it in person and pointed it yourself. You'll learn real quick Apple, also added something a bit more creepy inside the camera app and I. Don't know exactly how they've done it, but they took a chapter out of Samsung's book to integrate audio zoom into the camera. What this does are when you zoom in on something it will dynamically, enhance the audio of that and try to drown out everything else around it.

Now, it's sort of hard to see or even portray in video, but here's, a quick demo and speaking of audio Apple's, made some nice upgrades here as well. I'm talking about Dolby, Atmos and spatial audio, essentially both of these work together. To give you a more immersive experience and while the speakers to me don't get louder, year-over-year, comparing it to the older iPhone, 10s and iPhone 10 are it definitely sounds more full I feel like I'm hearing more of what's going on and while Apple says you're going to feel like you're inside the action. I, don't exactly think, that's true I mean obviously using headphones. It's going to give you still a much greater audio experience.

I think the quality has increased slightly year-over-year. Although truth be told not that big of an upgrade moving on a haptic touch replaces 3d touch in all three of the new iPhone models this year. Now, if you use an iPhone 10 s last year, you know it had that pressure-sensitive display that Apple marketed as a flagship feature back in 2015 on the iPhone 6s. Well last year with the iPhone 10 R, it went away there and Apple added long, pressing or a haptic touch to replace it. Now it works pretty well and iOS 13.

The software that runs here has been heavily optimized to work. Well with that. But if you're used to 3d touch, the new iPhones actually don't have that at all. Apple is actually taken away, a feature year-over-year, which is something that the smartphone industry rarely, if ever does so, if you're looking for it know that it's just all long presses now, but the screen itself, that's not pressure-sensitive any longer. Next up is an iPhone 11 Pro an iPhone 11 Pro Mac's exclusive.

They have the brightest screens on iPhones. Ever now. Last year the iPhone, 10s and 10 are, and even the iPhone 11 this year, maxed out at 625 nits of max brightness. However, this year, if you get an iPhone, 11 Pro or an iPhone 11 Pro Max I can be boosted up a whole 175 nits to 800 nits. That is an it's an incredibly bright display, I've, always sort of had a minor issue with iPhone screens or phone screens in general.

Just not getting that right when you're looking at it in direct sunlight, and I've, already noticed a minor upgrade with the iPhone 11 Pro. Now it's not like day and night like wow. This is just genuinely so much brighter, but in times when you need that extra 175 nits of brightness it's there and again, this is only on the promo. Now taking a much closer look inside the iPhone 11 Pro Max teardown group fixity discovered something incredibly interesting, that Apple ships hardware for a feature that isn't actually out yet and that may never be out inside this teardown. You can see some indication that Apple was working on reverse or bilateral wireless charging me that while you could charge the iPhone 11 Pro wirelessly, you could also reverse-charge devices like air pods, ? or the Apple Watch and Apple was working on this for a long time, but apparently the future got canned at the very last second and Apple decided not to ship it I would assume because of heat concerns of some sort.

In fact, fixity noticed that there was some kind of thermal detection for this reverse wireless charging and that doesn't exactly seem to be activated. This is all super fascinating, and maybe it comes at some point in the future, but all it's clear that something went wrong at the last second with reverse wireless charging. An apple does not want us to have our hands on that feature, at least just yet returning to hidden features on both these models. There is a new ultra-wideband chip on the inside of all. That initially sounds like it would be something for cellular use, Apple's teased, one feature that works right off the bat.

If you want to airdrop a photo with someone or even a video, any sort of media, you can now use this ultra-wideband chip actually point your phone at them and their device, and they will show it first on the list of airdrop now airdrop in the share sheet and iOS 13 got a nice upgrade where artificial intelligence will dynamically and smartly suggest who you might want to share with. But this takes that a step further. You can interact sort of intervene as a human and say I wanna, share directly with this person and the new chef again exclusive to these new iPhones will allow you to do that with ease it's pretty weird and I. Don't exactly know if it's going to be that big of a deal. This is all that Apple has revealed so far, they're hinting that many more features are coming in the future.

What those are we don't know just yet also hidden inside these phones, alongside the a13 and ultra-wideband chips, is a new battery and performance limiting piece of hardware. Now this sounds really evil and mischievous right off the bat, but it's actually for your own good. At least that's what Apple claims I'm sort of in the middle on this debate. You might remember a few years ago when they got in sound of trouble for intentionally slowing down iPhones. Well, since then, since the iPhone 8 and then the iPhone 10 I believe in 2017 they've been including new battery and performance limiting Hardware each year to essentially make it so that when your battery degrades your software experience is still as good as it can be, because when you have a battery that isn't properly charging or holding juice like it used to, it can't exactly send energy to other parts of the phone.

So, with this new hardware, Apple sort of been ambiguous as to what exactly it does, but they just say it's going to make that experience of a bad battery a little better, and hopefully they won't throttle you as aggressively as they were doing before they got caught inside the Settings. App Apple introduces new wallpapers every year, and this year is no exception. They're all live wallpapers, but Apple is also hidden, dark mode versions alongside light versions, and you enable those of course by labeling dark mode on your device, you can actually see it dynamically change, while you're in the wallpaper selection menu. If you enable dark mode, you get a totally different, looking wallpaper, obviously the same base, but it sort of gets a neon vibe on the iPhone 11 that I really enjoy I, actually like the lower end, quote-unquote iPhone 11th wallpapers better this year, because we go to the iPhone 11 pros, lineup they're, just so professional they're. Very like oh look, you have the pro iPhone they're like water or electric looking waves, and oh, the dark mode version definitely looks better.

I. Think Apple could have done a slightly better job with these wallpapers this year, I really like the iPhone 10s wallpapers from 2018 and this high-end iPhone, while the true black OLED colors here make the display pop. It wasn't all that impressive and for me that wraps up the hidden features that I've discovered, and then I don't think. Apple made it super clear on the new iPhone models this year, but, as always, I want to hear your guy's thoughts. What do you think about these iPhone features? You wish Apple would've added anything else.

Did you know about some of these, or did you learn something down below? Let me know: I've been Sam drop a like if you enjoyed it hit subscribe for more, and I'll, see all of you in my next video.
