Apple quietly released the new iPad fifth generation five months ago in March 2017. This iPad is supposed to replace the iPad or two as Apple's standard tablet, offering sitting above the iPad Mini 4 and below the two iPad Pro models. I was looking at Apple's website and saying what are the differences between the iPad Air 2 shine apps in this iPad, which just arrived in a minute? Here's what I found the new iPad has put on a bit of weight coming in at 469 grams for the Wi-Fi, only model and 478 grains for the Wi-Fi and 4G LTE version, which is what I have a huge day. My eye pen or two Wi-Fi only is 437 grams. The new iPad also has a slightly thicker frame coming in at 7.5 millimeters, compared to the iPad Air choose 6.1 millimeter, which is down to the lack of fully laminated display on the new model. So here's our iPad first thing: our touch: ID home button, our 8 megapixel front facing camera, a 12 megapixel rear facing camera, our cellular antenna at the top here, power button, headphone jack volume, control in card tray, Apple logo, lightning, port and dual speakers. Okay, everything looks beautiful. Let's power it on hello, hola, I'm, pretty sure that says press home to unlock English. We will pick our Wi-Fi comes up. It might take a few minutes to activate your iPad so yeah.

If you look kind of in the bezel area here, you can see that this that the display is not laminated to the glass, and you can see a bunch of black borders. It'll still function the same. It just does not look the same location, disable that for now touch ID set up later, don't add passcode for now up as a new iPad, we will set that up later agree. So here are our 32 preloaded apps on the iPad, and we have our spotlight search area control center. This is the Wi-Fi only model, as you can see it just says iPad up here and on this one it says no service, so I don't really know how to do like speed tests and stuff, but I know how to do like kind of one, so I've connected them both to the same network and there's nothing open in the multitasking, and so we're just gonna. Try loading Apple one two three ooh this one loaded faster, because it has a nine chip and this one's still loading I, don't know if it's more the type of processor it has or if it's my Wi-Fi, but they are in the same spot, and they still should load like the same okay.

Now, let's try loading an app so try loading the App Store one, two, three ooh, the iPad Air 2 loaded, quicker, actually, hmm, that's surprising! Alright and multitasking speed tests ready one two one: two, this one motor faster: let's try it again. This one Wow has big difference, one two: that is a lot of speed back there, one two wow that is quick on that one and then one last thing: you can really notice the black lines around the screen black, because it's not laminated this one. It is a black iPad, but I really, don't think you would notice it that much alright, guys, that's going to wrap up this video.
