I bought a Pixel 4A in 2021, but why?

What's up guys, I'm human from phones teen and I have bought the Pixel 4a now this is my brand-new smartphone and I just received it today and in this video I'll, be telling you why I bought a new smartphone and why I went with the Pixel 4a now I'll definitely be doing a long term review of this smartphone and make sure you subscribe to see that and last, but not the least, if you guys want to support phone steam, make sure you bookmark my Amazon affiliate page and make a purchase from that which will definitely help support phone scene. With that said, let us begin so. Why did I buy a new smartphone in the first place? Now I own an OnePlus 5, at least before this I owned an OnePlus 5 and that smartphone was really, really good. Even after four years the performance was perfect. I could even play high-end games without any issues. Now I was really happy with the performance and I thought okay, there's no need for me to change, but the problem started say like six: seven months back, my phone started heating, so I thought: okay, it is normal, maybe an old fold.

The battery would have. You know, face some issues, things like that, but it was not ordinary heating. It was like uh. You know the iron box, that hot, like the phone, the case so through the phone. The case would also heat up, and I could notice extreme heating while charging the case itself would become super hot.

I've never faced it before, but you know for the last six seven months I've been facing that- and it's not only the heating. There was this annoying problem where the OnePlus 5 would randomly shut down, like literally randomly shut down, no restart, nothing just pure shutting down, and first it was like once or twice a day, but the frequency started, increasing and recently, before changing to this, my phone, the OnePlus 5, used to shut down, say, like eight nine times a day which was really frustrating, especially when you're doing important stuff. When your phone turns off. It is like crazy irritating and another reason is that when I go to the camera app and turn the video section on- and I click the record, the entire phone freezes- or sometimes it even turns off now I've missed a lot of cool epic moments because of that I'm a person who doesn't take a lot of photos or videos. Only if I feel like some moment is really special I try to take, but with this for the past few months, I couldn't take any sort of videos which was really, really irritating and there were many minor issues, but those were not like really pronounced like these, but they were really small issues.

That really didn't bother me much, but the heating issue, the too much random shutdowns and the video thing where the entire phone gets frozen, really, really annoyed me a lot, and I've especially really important moments, really important calls. I've missed a lot because of this. I think it was time to change. Furthermore, I really didn't want to spend money on repairing the OnePlus 5. To be honest.

Anyway, it was a phone that I needed to change like maybe in a year or two, and I really didn't want to spend money. If it was a motherboard mistake, then that would cost few thousands of rupees. I didn't want to do that, and so it was time to change my smartphone. Now I didn't settle on the pixel 4 immediately. No, now I'm a person who likes compact smartphones, I don't like huge smartphones.

They really irritate me. However, awesome your phone can be if it is huge, I will literally hate it, but still I just wanted to see if there are any really nice compact phones. Now there was the iPhone 12 mini now that was a really nice phone, but the price was not my cup of tea because it was kind of too high, even after all the HFC card offers. It was definitely high for me, and then I went to a lot of shops did uh surfing on the internet. I mean like Amazon on Flipkart, but I couldn't find a really nice phone that was kind of compact, but at least decently powerful.

Now all phones were like 6.5 6.7 humongous monstrosities, which I to be honest, hit. Now I really like OnePlus, but nowadays, I started disliking them so much because their phones have gotten like freaking huge. Like uncomfortably huge. I don't care how good your features are: blah blah blah. I don't care.

Those are freaking huge 6.1, I don't mind, that's also a nice size, but the only option was iPhone 12 and the Samsung s21. Those were still costly, so I didn't go to any of those and hence came the Pixel 4a. Now I went with this for many reasons. First is the main reason being the form factor see it's such a compact phone, even with the case on this is a pretty compact smartphone, and I really, really like it now. Due to this bezel-less design, they have managed to cram in a 5.8 inch display, and I am to be honest, really happy with it from even the OnePlus 5's 5.5 inch display was quite big enough, and this 5.8 is even better than that and also gives it a more modern look, and I really don't mind the punch, hole. Camera.

I'll be honest. I didn't buy this for the camera and all now just purely for the form factor and second thing the operating system. Furthermore, I mean it runs on android 11, but it is stock android, and I really, really like it now as much as I like. You know: Xiaomi realm, opp's uh, what all those companies' hardware? I am not a fan of their UI and I really didn't want to go with any of those, so stock android, my favorite. Now, since this is android, you can also customize this.

I don't think I'll be doing that, but still that's an added advantage here and finally, the price now for 32 000. I won't say this is the best value smartphone. No, no, no, never, but this is one of the best value compact smartphones, because the only other option, in my knowledge, as of now, is the iPhone 12 mini, which is freaking, costly and uh. Instead of that, if you are fine with either android or iOS, you could go with this for 32 000. I think this is a nice option, but anyways now I have the Pixel 4a with me, and I'll also be testing it out.

Since this is my daily driver, I will be testing it out and definitely be giving you a long-term review so make sure you subscribe to see that, and finally I'll have the link to purchase the Pixel 4a in the description below make sure you check that out with that said, thanks for watching- and this here is human signing off once again catch you later. You.
