Hello, everyone welcome to my channel today I'll be comparing the Huawei watch fit versus the Huawei watch gt2, and I will briefly touch base about the differences across all the Huawei watch. Gt2 models like the Huawei watch, gt2 gt2e and the gt2 pro. So by the end of this video, you should know what to expect when you get either of these watches. So, let's get started. If it's your first time on my channel, please consider subscribing as I do regular videos for various smartwatches like this one smartphone Huawei review videos under the playlist app be sure to check it out and if you want, you can support my channel by becoming a member at a small monthly charge, with all the perks that I'll offer click. This join button to check out all the perks of becoming a member also check out some cool merch under the store tab and check out, as always subscribe to my second YouTube channel for mobile friendly, short video content.
Today's video is going to be a comprehensive comparison, so for your ease of viewing or coming back to a particular comparison category. I have time coded everything, so I'll start with the cost and availability design features, specs, fitness tracking sleep tracking and my final wording now in terms of availability. Finally, Huawei smartwatches are now available in Canada, among major retailers like Canada, computers and electronics memory express new egg, staples vision and Amazon. I have linked the official Huawei Amazon store in the video description, where you'll find all these smartwatches that I will mention throughout this video, along with their accessories, so be sure to check it out now in terms of price Huawei watch fit at this point in time is listed on Amazon for 140 Canadian dollar, keep in mind all these prices may vary depending on where and when you're watching this video Huawei watch fit comes in various colors for cases and wristband options like the rose gold case with Sakura, pink or cantaloupe orange band silver case with mint green band and the one I have in the video is the black case with the graphite black band. On the other hand, the Huawei watch gt2 comes in 46 millimeters and 42 millimeters, with sports classic and elite edition.
As you can see right here now in terms of price, I know it's a little weird, but at the time of filming this video on Amazon, the Huawei watch, gt2 46 millimeter cost only 228 Canadian dollar, but the gt2 42 millimeter cost 238 Canadian dollar. That's a bit absurd, as the 42 millimeter variant does not have a built-in speaker, obviously less screen real estate and a smaller battery size. Now Huawei also offers the Huawei watch gt2 e, which costs only 199 Canadian dollar. With all these colors and styles, the gt2e ideally has same specs as the gt2 46 millimeters minus the built-in speaker and the gt2e has more of a sporty look suitable for active lifestyle. Just considering the value out of the money you spend, you should go with the Huawei watch, gt2 46 millimeters.
As you can see, there ain't a lot of difference in price, but you get all the top of the line, features and specs unless you're into style and design Huawei recently introduced their most premium version. The Huawei watch gt2 pro that has a titanium body with sapphire glass, giving it a very rich and premium feel specs are ideally the same as the Huawei watch. Gt2 46, millimeter minus the fact that gt2 pro has wireless charging and exceptionally premium feel which, at this point in time, will cost you a whopping, 349, Canadian dollar, sort of all the gt2 model. As shown above, I would recommend, if you don't really care about the premium rich material and contemporary design just go with the Huawei watch. Gt2 46 millimeters, as it has all the top of the line specs that you need, and you will be only paying 228, Canadian dollar.
So with that said, let's talk about the design and features now. Obviously, if you want a circular watch then go with the Huawei watch gt2 it has the classic circular design with two button layouts. On the other hand, the Huawei watch fit is more of a sporty looking crossover to a smart band design with certainly more screen real estate compared to a traditional fitness band, which is really helpful at the back. Both of these smartwatches have their heart rate and spo2 sensor, which we will talk about later during the fitness category. There are charging pins speaking of charger.
The Huawei watch gt2 has a magnetic charging brick, which has an USB type-c port, which is really handy, as I can literally charge it up with my note, 20s charger. On the other hand, the Huawei watch fit has its proprietary pooping magnetic charger, which you have to carry along, and surprisingly it's not that strong of a magnet. The charger is not able to hold the watch, and you really have to make sure that the charger is securely attached. Now there is one major problem with the Huawei watch fit, and that is the proprietary wristband mechanism. It's a painstaking process to remove the wristband.
I would recommend you to not use your nail or any object broader than the gap over here, as you will damage the body of the watch or your nail. So I just end up using a flat head screwdriver to pop off the locking pin now. A caution here is that it's very easy to lose this locking, pin and if you do, you will not be able to use the watch well, in that case just order. Another wristband that I have linked in the video description I wish Huawei would have made it easy enough, like the Fitbit sense or the Fitbit versa 3. On the other hand, the Huawei watch gt2 uses a 22 millimeter universal wristband, so you can swap it with any 22 millimeter wristband from your other smartwatches and use it on the Huawei watch.
Gt2 again, I have linked some fancy. Cool wristband in the video description make sure to check it out by the way, if you are wondering about the silver metallic bezel on the gt2, it's the protective rink bezel styling for the Huawei watch, gt2 46 millimeters, for which I have done a full review linked up in the card section. You can check it out once you're done watching this one now the Huawei watch fit has only one button on the left hand, side which is used to enter and exit the menu and also has a power on and off button. There is a microphone on the left hand, side which is redundant as literally. There is no use of it at this point in time, however, the microphone on the Huawei watch gt2, which is located on the left-hand side of the watch, is used for talking directly from the watch, and it's certainly a good quality microphone.
As from my testing, the receiver, on the other hand, was able to hear me loud and clear, gt2, 46, millimeter and the gt2 pro comes with a built-in speaker which is used to take Bluetooth. Audio calls directly from the watch and the call quality via the speaker is top of the line compared to my Samsung Galaxy watch.3. , the built-in speaker on both these watches can also be used to play music on the watch. So if you want a watch with a built-in speaker and ability to answer call directly from the watch and music playback from the watch, then Huawei watch gt2, 46, millimeter and the gt2 pro are your only option now the menu layout on all the Huawei smartwatches is somewhat identical. You can touch hold on the watch face to open up the watch face selection menu, which is relative to the phone you pair it with this gt2 is paired to my iPhone, so you don't get more options for watch faces and on the Huawei watch fit.
You can't have more than 12 included watch faces, irrespective to the phone it's paired with. But to me the built-in watch faces are more than enough. Now you can access quick stats by swiping, left or right from the watch face. Screen click the button to enter the menu and all the Huawei watches, get the basic necessary app like the stress, breathing exercise, weather stopwatch timer alarm flashlight find my phone and when paired with a Huawei phone, you also get camera control, as well as the music option, which is not available. When paired with an iPhone on the Huawei watch.
Gt2, you will get more options like call logs contacts from where you can call 10 pre-assigned favorite content. You also get music app where you can transfer mp3 files from your phone to the watch for offline music playback, for which I have done a video, and it's linked up in the card section. You can check it out once you're done watching this one Huawei watch fit, does not have this liberty of transferring the mp3 files for offline music playback on Huawei watch fit. Furthermore, you can control the music player only when paired with an android phone with ability to play, pause or track skip a track forward and backward as well as control the volume. But this cannot be done when paired with an iPhone.
So you can take your Huawei watch gt2 for an outdoor run without your phone as you can listen to the music on a Bluetooth earbud paired directly to the watch, and both these watches have onboard GPS to track your outdoor run. Huawei watch gt2 also has a barometer to show you the air pressure change in real time. So if there was a sudden atmospheric change for any reason, the watch can alert you, which is really cool. Gt2 also has a compass app, which is very accurate. These apps are not available on Huawei watch, fit now with the design and features being done.
Let's talk about these specs now, instead of me reading out all the specs just pause, the video and read through all the specs listed on the side of the video. However, some worth specs to point out is that the Huawei watch fit has a 4 gig of built-in storage, just like the gt2, but Huawei watch fit, does not allow the option to transfer mp3 files, irrespective to the phone being paired with which really sucks. I wish Huawei unlocks this feature, at least for the android and Huawei phone users in terms of display. Both these smartwatches have a very crisp, bright and vibrant display. Both these displays are distinctively visible, even in a bright sunlight, and since both these displays are AMOLED, they have a very deeper dark.
Color and very energy. Efficient gt2, obviously weighs more than the Huawei watch fit, which is barely noticeable on your wrist Huawei watch fit has a smaller battery of only 180 William hour versus the gt2. Has a massive 455 milliampere gt2 46 millimeter version is by far the best smartwatch in terms of battery life. Hands down. Gt2 also has its proprietary kite in one even chipset, which is highly energy efficient.
Both these smartwatches runs on Huawei lite OS, so no third party, apps games or watch faces, but in my opinion, both these watches have all the basic app that majority of the people will be needing on a regular basis in terms of smart features. Both these watches can display notification from all the desired app respective to the phone they are paired with. But the caveat is that you cannot reply or interact to any notification doesn't matter which phone you're paired with. I also noticed that you cannot view images or emojis in the notification. You also cannot read through an entire email or a longer notification.
You have to read it on your phone, but let but at least you will not miss any important notification now in terms of call notifications, the Huawei watch fit only gets notification from a regular cellular call, and you can only get the option to decline. The phone call you don't get any option to answer it. This is across any smartphone it's paired with, but on the Huawei watch gt2 you can get call notification from major apps, like WhatsApp, Viber, etc. , as well as cellular calls with ability to answer or decline, an even option to talk directly from the watch, which is cool, and this works even when paired with an iPhone. So with the specs aside, let me quickly touch base on the battery performance.
As said earlier, the Huawei gt2 46 millimeters is hands down the best watch in terms of battery life due to its 455 William hour battery size and power, efficient, Karin, a1 chipset. For me, Huawei watch, gt2, 46 millimeters easily goes up to two weeks per charge and if I sacrifice few features, I can easily overhaul up to 3 weeks per charge, which is just unbelievable. Even with the always on display. I can easily get up to 7 days per charge, which no other watch can do. On the other hand, the Huawei watch fit is not bad either.
It can easily go up to 7 days per charge and with the always on display, it can go up to 4 days, which is still above average. If you use the outdoor run feature, the GPS will run in the background, draining the battery a little faster. Now, let's talk about fitness and health tracking. Both these watches have stress level indicator, for which I have done a detailed video of setup calibration and review linked up in the card section which can check it out once you're done watching this one and both these watches are on par with each other. The levels may vary depending on the answers you provide in the stress test calibration.
There is a breathing exercise which are very helpful, but, as mentioned in my previous videos, it would be very helpful if Huawei would add vibratory feedback instead of just looking at the watch to sing the inhalation and exhalation Apple Watch. Series 6 at this point in time is by far the best haptics with the breathing session, so you can close your eyes and the watch will vibrate in pattern to sink your inhalation and exhalation. Both these watches have 24 7, heart rate, monitor, which is good, but I will personally prefer the Huawei watch gt2 for the heart rate, monitoring, as it seems more accurate when compared to the Huawei watch fit from my testing. Huawei watch fit feels like an under shooter for heart rate, especially during a workout session. However, Huawei watch fit is great in terms of heart rate monitoring, but when compared to other budget category smartwatches in terms of sp02, I have compared the reading against a medical grade.
Pulse oximeter on my second YouTube channel and the videos are linked up in the card section, which you must check it out once you're done watching this one, but overall the spo2 or the blood oxygen saturation reading, for both these devices are fairly close to the pulse oximeter reading and are on par with other major smartwatch manufacturers. Now, in terms of sleep tracking, both these smartwatches are relatively accurate from my testing. Both these smartwatches can detect the precise sleep and wake-up time with a sleep score and detail insight to your sleep data. Like the total sleep, deep sleep light, sleep, rem, sleep, deep, sleep, continuity, average times, wake, breathing quality and nets with more detail and information for each and every matrix. Personally, I really like the sleep tracking of both these smartwatches, compared to the other smartwatches that I have reviewed on this channel just make sure to turn on the true sleep on the Huawei watch fit which does drain slightly more battery life.
Finally, let's talk about fitness tracking and workouts right off the bat. The Huawei watch, gt2 46 millimeters is better at fitness tracking. As from my testing, the Huawei watch gt2 is more reliable in terms of heart rate and calorie burnt. I took both these watches for a 30-minute intermittent jog on a treadmill, and this is what both of these watches showed against my treadmill. Now, my treadmill is not accurate, as it does not have my biometrics like height weight, age, etc.
, but from this image you can see that the Huawei watch fit was way under in terms of calories burned, which just seems so unreal. As I know, I definitely burnt way more calories than that. On the other hand, the Huawei watch gt2 is over shooter. It showed an exceptionally high amount of calorie burnt. I would rather use my galaxy watch 3 or the Apple Watch Series 6.
As for such a workout, they would show about 350ish calories, which makes sense, so neither of these watches stands up to the Apple Watch, but against each other. I would personally go with the Huawei watch. Gt2. As the heart rate data was quite accurate compared to my Apple Watch or galaxy watch. However, the Huawei watch fit has a cool feature which I think Huawei should add on their other smartwatches too.
Now both the smartwatch have more than 100 workouts, and it's about the same for both these smartwatches. So there are 13 running courses and all these workouts. When you go in the ad, you will find a huge selection of workout. Basically, I bet you will find whatever you're looking for from this list, but the distinctive difference which Huawei should add on their other smartwatches, is the 12 fitness courses which, at the time of filming this video, are only available on the Huawei watch fit, and for me these are just amazing. So basically, these workouts will show you an animation of how to perform an exercise in the workout before it start counting the time and will show you the next move in the rest period.
So this feature is great: it's like having your own personal trainer for workout without needing any internet or third-party app, and there are a ton of exercise moves across these 12 workouts. Now I really wish that Huawei, smartwatches would have these features. As you can see, the animations are quite smooth and detailed enough for anyone to easily learn a move in just few seconds, but I said earlier due to the discrepancies in heart rate reading. I would rather prefer the Huawei watch gt246 millimeter for fitness, tracking and workout tracking over this Huawei watch fit with that said here is my final verdict, guys these videos take a lot of effort to be made as an appreciation to my effort. Please consider subscribing, which is free for you, but in doing so you will enjoy such videos for various tech that I review on this channel.
So I would personally go with the Huawei watch. Gt2 46 millimeters, as just for 90, Canadian dollar, more than the Huawei watch fit you get a built-in speaker, more native apps, like music, with ability to transfer mp3 files on the watch directly from the phone barometer, which shows real-time air pressure, change in the atmosphere and the compass, not to mention exceptional 2-week of battery life. More screen real estate, better fitness tracking. You should go with the Huawei watch, fit if you don't like the circular design, and if you want all the cool Huawei features under 150 bucks. So let me know in the comments down below which one will you pick? So that's it.
