What's happening everyone, my name is Alex and welcome back for this camera comparison. I have the latest and greatest from PCL. I have the tcl10 pro. This is a phone that you can find for about 450, and then we have the Huawei P30 Pro now this phone is over a year old, but now you can find it for under 500, so I figured this is going to be a pretty fair comparison, as always, throughout this video we're going to see a bunch of daytime pictures for those I've included some macro pictures. I have some portrait mode pictures, some pictures taken the ultra-wide lens and, of course, pictures taken with the main lens after those we're going to move on and see some nighttime pictures for those. Of course, I use the night modes on both devices after those you're going to see some sample videos and all the way at the end, some selfies and just before.
We start help me out by pressing that, like button, it's going to help this video quite um a lot and with that being said, why don't we start by checking out um some daytime pictures and, more specifically, some portrait mode pictures, alright? So for portrait mode pictures, I personally prefer the pictures taken by the Huawei P30 Pro. First, the colors look more realistic and then the edge detection seems to be better. But looking at these pictures um, I feel that TCL takes pictures more like a Samsung device, so if you've seen some portrait mode pictures from a Samsung device in the past. Well, the pictures taken by the TCL do look very much like that. So for portrait mode pictures, I personally prefer the Huawei P30 Pro moving on to macro shots, so the tcl10 pro has a dedicated macro lens, where the P30 Pro is using the ultra-wide lens to take those pictures and for these pictures I personally prefer the pictures taken by the TCL 10 pro all the pictures seem a bit sharper and also the colors make the subject pop a bit more.
So for macro shots. I do prefer the pictures taken by the tcl10 pro, but what do you guys think? Which ones do you like more the ones taken by the peter retro or the TCL 10 pro moving on to pictures taken by the ultra-wide lenses on the back of these two devices? Well, here I prefer the colors from the pictures taken by the tcl-10 pro now. If you look at the pictures taken by the Huawei, peter reaper, you're, definitely going to notice that they have a bit more contrast and that kind of makes the pictures look a bit sharper. But overall, I do prefer the pictures taken by the ultrawide lens by the TCL 10 pro. I think they look a bit better, but that's just my opinion, so definitely check out these pictures and, let me know in the comments down below on which device you prefer moving on to five times.
Zoom pictures well keep in mind that the Huawei P30 Pro has an optical um lens, an optical zoom lens, where um on the tcl10 pro we just get electronic zoom. So, of course all the pictures taken by the Huawei P30 Pro are gonna. Look better and, of course, they're sharper and the pictures taken by the tcl10 pro almost look like paintings, if you're using the five times, um zoom and moving on to pictures taken by the main lens. Well, the main difference that I've noticed here has to do with dynamic range, so pretty much. Every single picture taken by the tcl10 pro has better dynamic range.
As for colors well, in some pictures I prefer the colors from the P30 Pro in some from the tcl10 pro so definitely check out these pictures and, let me know in the comments down below which device you prefer for pictures taken with the main lens all right, and we are going to move on to nighttime pictures and, of course, for the nighttime pictures. I use the night modes on both devices, so both devices have a night mode. Now, looking at these um pictures, I have to say that the Huawei P30 Pro does better in pretty much every single picture. So the pictures look a bit brighter. They are much sharper because if you start zooming in on some of those pictures, you can definitely tell the difference.
So for nighttime pictures, I feel that there is no comparison. The Huawei P30 Pro does much better than the TCL 10 pro, but still for a phone around 450 dollars um. I feel that the TCL temp pro does grayish right. So definitely let me know what you guys think about the nighttime on pictures, and we are going to move on to video samples where for video samples, I feel that um for daytime recordings, the Huawei peter retro, does better the colors do seem closer to reality. The image stabilization is a bit better and also the sound from the internal microphone.
The recordings from the tcl10 pro do seem a bit uh too contrast. If I may say they almost look dark in certain places, because there is just so much contrast in those um recordings as for nighttime recordings. Well, even though the TCL 10 pro has the brighter videos, it does bring a lot more noise um in those videos. So for video recordings, I feel that the Huawei P30 Pro does better, so I'll. Let you guys watch those recordings, and I'll be right back all right.
This is a quick 1080p recording between the TCL 10 pro and the Huawei P30 Pro at this resolution. So 1080p both devices have um image stabilization, as you can probably see for um yourself. So I'm going to walk up to here, we'll stop somewhere around here, I'm also recording with the main lens, so we're gonna pan left slowly and back right and up a bit, and then we'll walk this way for a little so yeah. This whole recording in 1080p would look between the tcl10 pro and the Huawei P30 Pro, and we are continuing from the exact same spot with the 4k at 30 frames per second recording between these two devices. So walk all the way up here by the water, we'll pan up slowly and then right and then left, and we'll walk straight for a bit.
So this is how 4k 30 frames per second recording between the tcl10 pro and the Huawei p30. Pro would look like, of course, at this resolution we also get image stabilization from both devices. This is a quick video sample in low light between the TCL 10 pro and, of course, the Huawei P30 Pro so for this recording I'm doing 4k at 30 frames per second, and I'm walking fairly slow and, as you can probably see for yourself, and I'm also using the main lenses on these two devices, so we'll walk towards the right here, and we'll pan right slowly, so I can definitely see way more um on the screen of the TCL 10 pro. But again, I'm going to have to see how this footage actually looks at home, so yeah this whole recording um between these two devices would look like at night and lastly, we are going to check out some selfies well for selfies. I personally prefer pretty much all the pictures taken by the tcl10 pro the daytime selfies seem a bit sharper, even though in some pictures I do look a bit better in the pictures taken by the Huawei p20 pro.
But overall I feel that the TCL tempo did better for daytime selfies and nighttime selfies. But once again, let me know in the comments down below and which one you prefer for selfies, so there you have it the TCL 10 pro and the Huawei P30 Pro, as I said them earlier. This phone is over a year old. So I think it does really, really good for um being that old and the TCL 10 pro is basically a mid-range device, that's brand new so which one would you choose if you'd have the option, the tcl10 pro or the Huawei P30 Pro? Once again, let me know in the comments down below all right guys. Hopefully you enjoyed this video.
