Asus ROG Phone 5 💥 Gaming Performance Test, Charging Test, Antutu Test | Price Starts at Rs. 49,999

I recently had the chance to spend a few days with the ASUS ROG phone 5, and so I decided to put this phone through its faces and see whether the hype is real or not hello, everyone, my name, is man Rashid you're watching Mr phone and in this video I'll be testing the gaming performance of the ASUS ROG phone five. Additionally, I'll also be running an tutu on this phone for multiple times four times to be precise, and I'll also be doing a real world battery charging test, so stay tuned until the very end to see how does the ASUS roger.5 holds up in the real world, but before we start, if you're new to the channel, then consider subscribing and also press the bell icon so that you're notified whenever a brand new video drops with that said, let's get started quickly. Some key specifications first, the first test I did- was a battery charging test. Now this phone does support up to 65 watt fast charging, but the charger that you get inside the box is a 30 watt. Brick so never mind. Here's how the phone performed in the battery charging test, as you can see, the battery was completely drained when I started with the test, and also I tried quite a few times to turn on the phone after putting it on charge, and I thought something's wrong with the phone since it wasn't turning on, and only it was around the nine-minute mark that the phone finally decided to turn on, and that's when I was relieved that okay, the device is working and yeah, as you can see after 10 minutes of charging, the phone was able to reach about four percent now fast-forward to 20 minutes and the battery level had reached 17.

To be honest, I was already anxious at this point, for how long will I have to put up with this? I mean At that moment. I had realized that I have trolled myself and this one is going to take a lot of time anyway, at 30 minutes the battery charged to about 32 and looking at this result. Furthermore, I have realized that how the likes of Oppo and Realme have spoiled us with their 65 watt charging solutions. Furthermore, I mean I remember 30 watt charging being a thing and how OnePlus and Oppo used to advertise it to be superfast back in the day, and it feels so slow man now, of course, the battery capacity on this phone is also 6000 my, which is large, and that's why only if ASUS could have given the 65 watt charger in the box. Furthermore, I mean that would have been a totally awesome anyway.

In 40 minutes we reached about 46 percent and from this point on I'm just going to fast-forward every 10 minutes so that we reach the conclusion of this never ending battery test. In 50 minutes the phone had reached a 60 percent battery and finally, after an hour or 60 minutes, the battery on the ASUS ROG phone 5 reached 75 and by the way it was still showing that it's going to take about 28 minutes more for a complete charge. So, let's keep going. But this time around, I checked the battery level after 75 minutes or say 1 hour, 15 minutes. Yes, I took a 15-minute cap this time, so it was 93 charge until then and during the final minutes, when I started recording around the one hour 22 minutes mark, I already noticed that the phone was sitting at 99 and from there on it was the longest time that it took to finish the final one percent.

By the way we are still not done even after one hour, 30 minutes just in case you thought it is still at 99 percent, but then I checked later at 1 hour, 33 minutes mark and finally, the ASUS ROG 4.5 fully charged 200 percent. So there you have it guys. Uh the ASUS ROG phone five took about 93 minutes to fully charge you from zero to 100, using the supplied, 30 watt charger. Of course, uh. The phone also supports up to 65 watt fast charging, but you'll have to purchase the 65 watt fast charger separately.

Anyway, let's move on and test the gaming performance and an tutu benchmarks. Keep watching sorry for the blurred start, it's soon going to be in focus, so I started off by playing Call of Duty mobile and to test the fps and thermal performance. I also recorded the gaming session on game bench pro. Of course, I'm going to show the scores after each session briefly, and also at the end of the video that would be in detail so stick around now. I feel that Call of Duty mobile over the past year has become one of the most popular games in India after PUBG was banned and guys also, please don't judge me for my poor gaming skills, since I was consistently focusing on the benchmark numbers, and there was also a stopwatch that I kept near to monitor the time, and it kept on distracting me, and I've also enabled the triggers by the way on this phone, which really enhance the overall gaming experience.

I mean this is what makes the ROG phone and ROG phone good stuff now. My plan was to continuously play on this phone for straight two hours, because I wanted to put it under serious load, so I thought I will play four different games and after every gaming sessions of about 20 minutes, I will test and to do on this phone, so I actually tested and to do for four times so keep watching you'll, see things and if you do make it to the end of the video you'll know that I did go Uber crazy on this phone. So I played Call of Duty mobile for about 19 minutes according to game bench pro. The median fps for this game is 60 and the ROG phone scored 76 percent. That's the percentage of frames.

The phone managed around the median fps I'm going to talk about this in detail when I show the screenshot of the game bench chart at the end right now, it's time for the first an tutu benchmark and the score is out according to the timer about 30 minutes had passed until this point. The good part here was that the thermal performance for all this while was pretty decent to be honest during the whole benchmark process. The phone only got warm by about three degrees and the peak temperature it reached was about 42 degrees Celsius, fine performance in my books anyway. Next up, I played gentian impact. Once again, I fired up the game bench pro app and recorded the whole session and here's how it went now after playing for about 20 minutes.

I closed the game, opened the game bench app again, so the median fps for this game is 30 fps and the phone managed to achieve a score of 96 around the median fps, which is great more on this later quickly. Let's start with an tutu for the second time now, and by the way 52 minutes have already passed by now, so it took about eight minutes to finish the benchmark. As you can see a similar kind of score to the first an tutu test that I did now. I will start playing injustice 2. The problem that I faced after playing injustice 2 was that when I opened the game bench app, it did not record the session, and this was clearly not my fault, because you guys saw that I did hit record before starting the game and I also uh did hit the end record button after you know, when I finished playing the game but never mind, I wasn't going to restart my performance test just because game bench went buggy on me, so I went ahead and tested an tutu for the third time so once again, similar scores in an tutu, just like the first and second test.

The thing is that thermal performance has also been so consistent during these tests, always around the 41 to 42 degrees mark and mind you, one and a half hours had already gone by this point. So now on to the final game. For this video, I played asphalt, 9 legends so yeah. That was the final game guys I played it for about 20 minutes again. The median fps for asphalt was 60 fps and the ROG phone five managed to achieve a score of 90 percent around the median fps.

Finally, it is time for the last antitube benchmark. That is the fourth time and after that I will get on to the game bench charts for all these games and analyze the data and yeah by the way one hour, 52 minutes had gone by the time. I finished playing this final game so after about two hours and two minutes is that we see, for the first time the score dropped a little below the 810 000 mark and you'd also notice that at one point the temperature also went up to 43.4 degrees, which is not much again, because other phones, I'm sure, would be fuming by now. If I had done something like this with them, but anyway that's been about it for the testing part, okay. So before the test started, that is when I first rolled the camera, the phone's battery level was 80 percent, and after this uh intense two-hour session ended, the phone's battery level was 34, which means uh.

The phone took a hit of a 46 in battery life, and while this might sound like a lot, I think the phone performed pretty well uh. Considering I played four different games and also ran and to do benchmarks back to back after each session. Uh and also the thermal performance was a pretty decent according to me, so you guys also share your thoughts. What you think and of course right now we'll be checking the game bench we'll be analyzing. The game bench results, so the first chart shows how Call of Duty mobile performed in terms of numbers, the phone managed a 76 fps stability for this game around the median fps that is 60 for this game and trust.

Me folks, don't go by the numbers, because I know the reason for this average score. So when you are in the general menu of the game say on the settings or basically when you're not playing the fps. During that time drops below 30 fps, I consistently notice that, and since you don't require all that power also while gaming, I can assure you that I didn't see a single hint of lag or stutter buttery, smooth performance overall quickly, taking a look at the thermal performance. So we started off at 31 degrees Celsius and at the end of the gameplay, the temperature was about 39 degrees Celsius and, while it might sound a lot in the real world, it was only warm to the touch I mean folks. This is totally reasonable.

In my opinion, I can once again assure that, as per the numbers, the real world performance was also absolutely great quickly checking how the thermal performance was during the gaming session, not to forget. I also ran an tutu for the first time before playing this game, so 41 degrees. When I started playing and 41 degrees when I ended the gameplay once again, these are just numbers, but in reality, according to me, the phone was only warm to the touch okay. So next up, I will be taking a look at asphalt, 9 charts, which was the fourth game that I played and, as you have already seen in the video, how game bench messed up with the third game that I played, that was injustice, 2. Performance wise.

I can tell you that injustice 2 ran perfectly well on the ASUS yogi phone 5. I did not come across any frame drops or lags or stutters, but since I don't have any solid proof, uh game bench, you messed it up. Furthermore, I can only tell you that the game performed brilliantly, but otherwise for now, let's focus on asphalt and ninth chart, so this is asphalt 109s chart and for all those who think that asphalt is not a taxing game on the phone's hardware. Just look at that. GPU usage, a mind-boggling 69.55 percent and anyway 90 fps stability once again good performance and, let's quickly, take a look at the thermals as well, so 41 degrees Celsius. When I started playing, and I ended at 41 degrees Celsius after playing these games and running an tutu, I have deduced that even under putting the heaviest of load on the ROG phone 5, according to my calculation, this device consistently hovered between 38 degrees Celsius to 43 degrees Celsius.
