HTC U11 life versus Pixel 2: camera shootout By High Tech Traveler

Hey guys I'm Nick gray, the high-tech traveler and welcome back to another smartphone shootout. Today, I'm going to be comparing the HTC. U 11 life against the pixel ?, as you can see in the bottom left hand, corner I'm, recording this with the? U 11 life and I'll be recording every single clip in this video with these two devices. To give you an idea of what the video quality is going to be, and also the audio quality that you can expect from these two devices, while recording video HTC is keeping the specs of the U 11 life, pretty simple on the back. You have a 16 megapixel camera with an F 2.0 lens and face detect autofocus. And then, when you flip things over to the front, you also get a 16 megapixel camera with an F 2.0 lens as well. The difference is the rear.

Camera can record 4k video, while the front-facing one can only record 1080p. Now you probably have the specs of the pixel two already memorized by now, but here's a quick rundown anyways on the back there's a 12 megapixel camera with an F 1.8 lens face, detect autofocus and optical image stabilization, and when we flip things over to the front you're looking at an 8 megapixel camera with an F 2.4 lens, the front-facing camera can only record 1080p video, but the rear camera does record 4k, just like the HTC. U 11 life does, of course, specs. Don't give you an idea of how these devices actually perform in real life scenarios, so I'm going to show you some side-by-side comparisons to show you how the pixel 2 and the HTC? U 11 life, actually compare you for being a $350 phone, the HTC? U 11, life actually performs really well thanks to HTC is built-in HDR, auto mode. Low light performance is good as well, but just be ready to wait a second or two before the camera takes a shot, since the autofocus is extremely slow and a lot slower than it actually should be.

Even though the U 11 life takes some perfect pictures, it's no match for the pixel ?, thanks to Google's, HDR plus mode. It offers the best dynamic range you can currently get on the smartphone and the autofocus are the near instantaneous capturing the picture as soon as you hit the shutter button.
