HTC Desire 20 Pro: Leaks and Specifications!

How's it going guys Vaibhav here and welcome back to another video. Now yesterday was an interesting day because everyone received their Apple iPhone SE units and everyone was blown away. They thought this is the best smartphone you can get for $400 and granted. It is. It's got the best processing power on a smartphone at that price point, and it's got our to be good cameras, a good, build, etc. , etc.

, and apples ecosystem to support that. Now, that sort of sparked of this trend of people saying what, if an Android manufacturer, did exactly the same as what Apple did and one of my friends Go have been following him: we've been following each other for quite a while. He does amaze work so go check him out. If you haven't already, he tweeted saying following the wave of what, if they put a last gen processor in and sold it for, $399 I would immediately buy this guy. So if you don't know what this is, this is the HTC One m7, one of the most iconic smartphones out there, and I obviously replied by saying the HTC.

One m7 and One m8 were elite because I had the one m8, and he probably had the one m7, both smartphones perfect, and this was when HTC was at the top of its game and I thought nothing of it until today, when we start to hear things about a new smartphone from HTC. Now this is a very rare occurrence, because HTC is a company that isn't really doing well in terms of smartphone sales and just in overall, but to see them actually make a smartphone is surprising. So a tweet from lab to fer I, don't know how you pronounce the name. He basically or she basically says I thought HTC is dead, but HTC Desire xx, Pro is in the pipeline. The design is kind of a mix between the OnePlus 8 on the front and the 10 on the back yeah and the 3.5 millimeter audio jack is their lot. So this is exactly what they say and the code name for the device is by AMO.

It's already appeared on Geek bench and I. Have the picture of the geek bed score with me, we'll get to that in just a minute, but let's go ahead and actually visualize this phone, the 1+8 on the front. So this is what the OnePlus 8 looks like from the front, so I'm guessing a design similar to like this I've actually got the OnePlus 8 Pro with me. So I guess it's pretty much the same design with the hole, punch, style, selfie camera with the notch. You could say an overall sleek and clean look.

Now, that's a good design choice, I'm, pretty impressed by what HTC is doing here, and it would be a good phone if it had a design similar to like this. At the same time, it's got the 10 design on the back and I. Don't know if it has the same camera configuration, but a 10 design looks pretty much like any other Android smartphone out there right now. So it's not anything more iconic. Certainly is it as iconic as the m7 or m8, but at least we're getting something that you know people might like, so I guess this is sort of a sacrifice.

HTC is willing to make. They don't want to go all out with their design. You want to experiment to see what sort of demand they get for the smartphone, but speaking of the demand, it was actually this guy who first retweeted one of the tweets by Rob Gabriel. Who apparently is an HTC fan, he's followed by HTC, and he basically loves HTC, and he tweeted out this picture and I have this picture opened from the Geek bench browser. So this basically goes and outlines what sort of processing power we should expect from this HTC Desire xx Pro.

So it's got a multi score of 1 367, which is pretty underwhelming, so we're probably expecting low to mid-tier processing power. If we go ahead and look at this, this was actually published on April the 21st. It's got android 10 running, so the device that was tested was already on the latest version of android, and it's got a Qualcomm processor with 8 cores and ARM architecture with a 1.8 gigahertz base frequency and up to 6 gigabytes of RAM. That's about it for all the specifications we know about the device. But if we sort of link these things together, we might be seeing a Snapdragon 650 processor on the phone or perhaps a 665 processor, on the phone.

Let me just go ahead and scroll down and let you guys know so. The CPU clock speed on the 665 is up to 2.0 gigahertz, which sort of makes sense. Now the 650 also has up to 1.8 gigahertz clock speed, so that's kind of where I'm getting to that. But the only problem with this is its a hex core CPU processor. So it's not an outscore processor, which makes me think the 6:65 is where this processor is at.

Of course, in terms of software we've seen Android 10, we might see the return of cents a, which I thought was one of the better operating systems back in the day. I. Don't know what changes HCC might make to that, and we have no idea about the design or how it's going to look. We just know that it's emerged between the 10 and the OnePlus 8, but that's about it. So let me know what you guys think is this sort of wrong move on HTS is part to dive into the low to mid-tier segment, which is already getting fiercely competitive.

Are we going to see a 90 Hertz display on this phone because that's something to keep in mind? Every single smartphone nowadays is talking about a 90 Hertz panel. So there's going to be a 90 Hertz AMOLED panel on a budget smartphone. Maybe that's how HTC could differentiate themselves. Are we going to see 5g on the smartphone? It doesn't look like it, but with budget smartphones going for this 5g processing power in the snapdragon 765 g processor will HTC miss out on that as well. These are questions we can't really answer just yet, and we only have these two designs to sort of visualize what the HTC Desire xx pro will look like, but it's carrying the desire name.

So it's probably going to be, or it sort of has this pressure of being a good smartphone, because the HTC Desire is where it all started. I remember with HTC smartphones in general, and I think they have to deliver with this one if they want to see sort of a resurgence in the market. Maybe this might be a cryptocurrency smartphone, there's a lot of speculation that could be made. We have nothing on the cameras on the phone and sort of nothing on when HTC plans to actually launch this smartphone, but I thought this was some interesting news, considering the fact that we were on about HTC smartphones just last night, so yeah, let me know what you guys think about this news down in the comments. Are you excited for HTC's return? Do you want them to see back us, see them back in the smartphone market as soon as possible? And are you expecting a follow-up to this mid-tier smartphone? Maybe a flagship level HTC smartphone could be in the pipeline, let's say by the end of this year.

Let me know what you guys think about it down in the comments make sure you subscribe for more videos thanks for watching this was Vaibhav, and I'll, see you in the next one adios.
