HOW TO SAVE BATTERY ON BB10 - "TOP 5 Tips!"

Hey guys it's me Ola and in this video I show you my top five tips on how I save battery life on my BlackBerry 10 devices. So a lot of you guys complain the context and below my videos that, after you've installed Android apps on your BlackBerry 10 smartphone that your battery life kind of went below average. Now, just in general, you just don't get the best out of your BlackBerry 10 device. So in this video I show you how you can improve that, and I have topped my top 5 tips on how I do it and how I save battery life on my phone. So, let's begin with tip number 1, and it's kind of a simple thing, just turn off unneeded radios and connections like oftentimes. You just forget about them.

You just leave flu shoes on your NFC connection on your Wi-Fi, your data connection. Furthermore, you just leave everything on, and it just sucks your battery life so bad, so you just have to turn them off like if you don't use Bluetooth, just turn it off. If you don't use NFC like I, rarely use it ever I just leave, it turned always off also, if you don't use your mobile phone connection, use Wi-Fi and if you don't use Wi-Fi or you just don't need any internet just turn off your Wi-Fi connection, and by that you will save a lot of battery life on your BlackBerry 10 smartphone. So my tip number 2 just fits in nicely with tip number 1, and it says: use Wi-Fi. Whenever is possible, Wi-Fi uses a lot less battery life than mobile data connection.

So if you're at home just turn off your mobile data connection, just leave Wi-Fi on to use Wi-Fi to surfing the internet. So whatever it's possible to use Wi-Fi and you really care about your battery, then just use Wi-Fi. Whenever it's possible, it will save you a lot of battery, so tip number 3 also is kind of an obvious thing, and you probably forget about it me myself. I also forget about it- is to turn down your screen. Brightness just leave it below 20% is some times find myself having it all the way up.

But if you leave it at 20% and maybe below just a bit over it, it won't be much worse, and it will be just totally usable and will save you. A lot of battery life actually displays one of the things that uses much, much better e and also what is also a thing of tip number three, is to turn your app into dart mode. So if your BlackBerry 10 device uses an AMOLED screen like, for example, the blackberry q10, you this one, all the by preset 30 uses one. That means all the black pixels or everything. That's black on the screen that is displayed black actually means that the pixels of the display has turned off, so that will use a lot less battery.

So I have a very dark background, a little flecks in it. So it doesn't use a lot of that tree for the white pixels and so on. You can also use that is a very nice feature of library.10. You can turn the apps into dart mode. So out of the box, the battery q10 setting is black, but you can also set a lot of apps like WhatsApp pace.10, the calendar I think a lot of apps into that mode, like the text messaging app and that will save you a lot of battery life and it just if you use a lot of apps where it's possible. That will be very nice.

Sadly, it doesn't work on the BlackBerry hub, a lot of people requested, but sadly it just doesn't work, but that will save you. A lot of retreat and I would totally do it. Tip number four is to close the apps running in the background that you don't necessarily need, so the small tiles that you see on the home screen just click on a small X to close the apps, and that will also save you a lot of battery, because those apps really use a lot of battery life, and if you don't really use them, it's just unnecessary and yeah. It will just save you a lot, so I will always close the app actually most of the time. My apps on the home screen are closed.

When I don't use my phone, so I have my phone for the longest time in the day. So you should do the same if you want to save a lot of battery life and if you want to get three days with a blackberry, 10 device and tip number five is, in my opinion, a tip that not many people know. But it's very, very important, especially if you use a lot of Android apps, because you think you're. Just like me, I browse through the Play Store I use a lot of Android apps on my blackberry, q10 or my BlackBerry 10 devices, and they use so much energy. They use so much battery because they're constantly running in the background, they're constantly checking for updates using network capabilities, of course, because they're not optimized for the BlackBerry 10 operating system.

So how can you change that? There's an app called device monitor, and you can find it in the settings under app management, I, guess and then device monitor or in the quick settings when you just call down from the top there's a small tile, at least on my quick settings, saying device monitor and if you click on it, you can see how much battery life each app uses, how much data uses and so on. So that's of course good. If you want to see, why is my battery training so fast, which apps are using the most power? But that's not all. You can also click on the app that is using a lot of battery. For example, Android apps like in my case, just click on it and then click on the button, change app permission, and then you'll see that the small toggle saying run when minimized is turned on, and that is such a huge battery eater.

So just turn it off. For example, on Instagram you will still get notifications, but it was just not used that much battery I use it on all my apps that I download from the Play Store, and you can also do it on some Lycra 10 apps. So I'll definitely do that. We use a lot of Android apps, and you want to pause for a day with your bike, for each have smartphone at least that's what I do and not many people do it to now. You know- and that's great, so that's it when my top 5 tips on how to save battery life on your BlackBerry 10 smartphone.
