Here It Is! The Google Pixel 5a 5G Unboxing And Quick First Look! $449 πŸ‘€

Hey guys it's English Dan, and this is the brand-new pixel 5a 5g. Oh yeah, welcome back guys so yeah google sent this out. I believe it's been announced today, like maybe as I'm even making this video. This is the new pixel 5 a5g. This is the sequel, let's say, or the new version to the Pixel 4a 5g that they had last year, not even opened the box yet so what I'm going to do here is literally just go through what we get with the pixel 5a. So on the back sub 6 5g 6.34-inch screen 128 gigabytes of storage. This is the mostly black gives you the model number all pretty uh or pretty standard, and then includes the pixel 5a 18 watt, USB power adapter.

So there is a charger in the box, which is a good thing: charging cable and quick switch adapter, so yeah, pretty simple nice packaging, typical google minimal, clean tidy. Obviously that's the pixel 5x. So let's open this thing up and have a look: they do have pull tabs on this box, which more manufacturers would do. This makes things so much easier. Pull the two pull tabs off: let's have a look what's going on in here, we'll have a better look at that in a second in this packet there's your sim tool.

Then we get our booklet on how to set up your new pixel inside you get the evermore rare charging brick 18 watt. Like I said, then you get your USB cable with your USB to USB, adapter, so other headphones, which you've not got with phones for a long time. You get everything you need with the pixel, which is great. Let's have a look at the device itself, I'll put the box out of the way for a moment, lets uh, sorry for the stipples, I've got a bit of a cold. Let's pull this off all right, very, very similar to the pixel 4 a5g last year, but this is obviously the 5a different colored power button.

This time it's got texture on it lumpy, and it's very, very easy to realize that I'm pressing the power button volume buttons are just below very click buttons. Really nice I've been using some phones recently where the buttons are really loose. These are really tight. Let's power this thing on nice, bright screen, hole, punch camera over to the left. I do believe it's still a 60 hertz display I'll have to make sure on that when I do the full review, but the display on this thing is nice and bright, as you can see straight away over on the back, we do have the rear fingerprint sensor again.

If it's anything like it was on the other pixel. This thing will be fast. It was one of the fastest I have used, and you get the dual camera setup with your primary and your ultra-wide same texture as what you got on the uh pixel 4 a5g last year. It is a very similar phone very, very similar, but I actually believe this costs less if the rumors are true but yeah so like say, as you can see, power button on the side volume button on this side at the bottom, two speaker rules USB c charging on this side. That's where your sim card goes little hole for the sim ejector other than that it's totally clean, headphone jack.

So google did retain the headphone jack with this microphone port up on the top there. It is all one piece again like the Pixel 4a series last year, which I think makes it feel a hell of a lot more premium than what you would normally get on a plastic phone. There's a plastic back just like the 4a series, but don't let that put you off. It's not a cheap plastic and like to say because it's all uniform and like an unibody, it feels perfect. Anyway, let's set this up, and we'll have a quick first look.

So, as you can see, we got this big 6.34 inch display, which is quite big, it's bigger than last year's. I think that was 6.1. If I remember rightly, I prefer that it's got the uniform bezels. All the way around looks really sharp. I think google do a perfect job with these mid-range devices.

They really do look sharp when you're looking at them, I could say the hole punch camera there is in the top left corner the fingerprint sensor. Let me show you this. This does not disappoint again ready. It's fast very fast, so yeah, and it hits every time I mean I'm doing this left-handed, and I'm right-handed, and it's its picking my fingerprint up, no problem very, very quick when you're going through the UI, as you can see, with typical google, no bloatware on that or anything just the apps that you need that come from Google, which is the way I love android. I think this is how everybody should go with android.

Don't get me wrong. I've got a s21 ultra over there, but it's bloated to the max with useless duplicate apps. I don't understand why companies do that. Google do it best, just use the Google versions so yeah. As you can see, it goes through the UI.

Really quick, we've not even opened a browser, yet so, let's just accept and continue English down reviews open up YouTube. Even though it's the web browser, you can see moves nice and smooth. Look at these weird fish, cutting things I don't like weird ESPN. That's quite a heavy website has a lot of graphics, a lot of photos. Things like that, but yeah again see no problems.

Loading them all in there doesn't. Zoom must be an ESPN thing that, but there you go, you can see everything's really responsive on the device has six gigabytes of ram as well, so that helps with the speed of the device. Also, if we flick over to the left panel, you have your Google feed, which again loaded in nice and quick everything just works great typical pixel. This is why I love the pixel devices and obviously the camera, and I'm going to be taking lots of pictures and video samples for you coming up so watch out for that in the next couple of days, but yeah. Basically, this is it.

This is the new pixel 5a 5g. I think it's going to be announced today, I'm not sure on the availability I'll find that out, though, and I'll put it in the description, if I do find out or if google announced it live straight away, but yeah watch out for more on this cannot wait to get into it. Alright guys I'll catch you in the next one, oh yeah, always on display nice all right guys catch you later bye.
