What's of YouTube's a few on super-safe TV, and here we have the Google Pixel, a foreign unboxing and first look one of the first on YouTube, so a thumbs up for that would be appreciated. So this is the smaller brother, the 5-inch version. There is also a 5.5 inch version, which is the pixel XL, and we'll be looking at that in another video, so make sure you have subscribed to see that first now, for those of you interested in seeing the box, here's the front, the back left, hand, side right, hand, side top and bottom. Now, let's get straight to the unboxing, we are first up presented with the Google Pixel, we'll take that and put it to the side for just a second to see what else we get inside the box there's. Firstly, this pack with all of your paperwork. This includes your SIM card ejector tool, a Quick, Start Guide.
There's a leaflet here to introduce you to Google assistant, which is a key feature on here, as well as one around google play music, which you get three months free of a little thank-you card. Encouraging you to share using the hashtag, my phone by Google and finally, some warranty information as well as that you have your power break, and now this is a three pin power break. You may have a different one where you're from this has a USB type-c imports, similar to what we saw last year with the Nexus 5x and 6p. Along with that, you have a USB, type-c, 2, USB, type-c cable, which has this little clip. That's going to make it easier for you to wrap up this cable there's a USB, type-c, 2, USB type, a connector as well.
This is USB 3. By the way you can tell that by the blue and finally, there's a USB to USB type-c adapter. Now, let's get straight to the device. You've got this protector with some more Google Assistant info. We do have this metal build, which does feel pretty premium, and let me know what you think of the design of the pixel.
Remember you can customize the look of your pixel with a skin from our sponsor D brand I'll be leaving a link to them in the description below. If you want to go ahead and check them out, taking a closer look up front is a 5 inch. Full HD AMOLED display on the top is an earpiece some senses and a front-facing 8 megapixel camera. This has a f2 point for a pitcher, but the pixels are pretty large on the bottom side of the front. We don't actually have anything flipping the device around on the top side of the bag.
We have this glass panel, which includes a twelve point: three megapixel camera that has an F 2.0 aperture, but once again, some very large pixels- and this is supposed to be Google- claimed one of the best cameras out there. Furthermore, we will, of course be putting that to the test with a super soft style camera comparison. So do look out for that. Now, just a side note, the cameras are exactly the same. As the pixel XL, we have a dual LED flash looks like a secondary microphone as well as some sensors there's.
Also, a fingerprint scanner here in the back which you can use to unlock your device, but swiping down will also bring down your notifications on the bottom side of the back. Is the Google Gee logo, as well as some info up top? Is a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack on the bottom? Is a USB type-c input, a single bottom facing speak and now don't be fooled. There are two grills here, but only the right-hand side is a speaker. The left-hand side is for the mic on the right-hand side of the phone. We have a power button as well as a volume rocker.
Now the power button is above the volume rocker, which is an odd choice. In my opinion, usually it is the power button that you need to reach to easier, and most of the smartphones do have this closer, so I'll, let you know how I get on with this going forward and finally, on the left hand, side is your SIM card tray? Now, let's go ahead and give this a fast boot. I know. A lot of you are interested to see this, so we'll speed this up slightly, and then we get this new animation, which does go on for quite some time, almost a minute, so speeding right through that. Finally, we get the Google icon and some more animations going in to the main screen.
You have your language selection here, so you can select whichever language you want, and you also have some vision settings. Let's get started straight away, we'll skip the insert sim card, and we'll set this up as a brand-new device and then connect on to Wi-Fi. Once it's done that, then it looks for updates and then lets you sign in to your Google account. And then you can set up your fingerprint, which will do a bit later backing up to Google Drive, which will switch our Google services you're, basically signing away all your life here, then we get to Google assistant, which we can set up to recognize your voice. So you have to say: ok, Google three times and once we've done that we are finally on the home screen, and here you can see that it's doing a few updates, and we do have Android 7.1 NGA, going on to this tapping it a few times holding on, doesn't bring you a game either. Brings you a little cat on the bottom or in no entry sign, so not sure if there's another way to unlock a graphic or animation or something.
Let me know if you have figured out a way. So there we have it. The Google Pixel, a very interesting device, and I'm going to be having a lot, more coverage here in the channel super soft style camera comparison, speed test as well as a day in London with the pixel excel and EE. If you want to see all of those first then be sure to subscribe. Click on my face right here and also switch on notifications, I hope you enjoyed this video and far you saw if you did them.
Please do hit that thumbs up one for me. You readers helped me out thanks for watching this, a fond super soft, TV, and I'll see you next time.
