Google Pixel 5 - This Is It!

Well we've seen all the specs leaks of the Google Pixel 5, all the renders as well to show us exactly what the phone will look like and now. Finally, we have the actual device to look at as well. Thanks to this hardware leak, we can see what the pixel 5 is going to give us, and it looks like on leaks once more is absolutely spot on when it comes to showing us what handsets are going to look like definitely no prizes for anything unique or novel. Here, it's a very simple design and one that is replicated on pretty much most smartphones these days, so a hole punch for the selfie camera. That is absolutely fine by me. No big foreheads this time around on the back.

We can see confirmation of the back mounted fingerprint sensor from reading my comments, I would say a fair few of you actually really like this position, so you're in luck, you're going to be getting that in the pixel 5 this year, for all of you saying that you'd prefer it under the screen. Well, I guess bad luck for you guys. Google are sticking with the back mounted fingerprint sensor as pretty much every other brand moves away from it, certainly in flagships and even mid-range phones. We can also see the dual camera system back there on this working handset and apparently google taking away the zoom camera this time going with an ultrawide camera. So there are no more cameras on this phone apart from those two lenses and really in the android world.

These days, there's just so much competition, especially all the Chinese brands, even Samsung as well with mid-range phones, upper end phones, you're, looking at three or four lenses at least google not going that route, though just sticking with two lenses, that's fine by me, because they're both really great but to be honest, considering that they did have a telephoto in there last year, and they're, adding an ultra-wide this year. It seems a little strange why they didn't just add three lenses, keep the telephoto and add an ultrawide that would actually just make things better for everyone. It's also strange after Google made so much bluster about super resume, which was using that zoom camera on the pixel 4 series, and, to be honest, it was a really great feature that worked really well. So I would have loved to have seen a triple camera system on the pixel 5, but this hardware also confirming all the other links that we got that that just wasn't happening also on the front of this device is something really strange, which is the name of this specific device, which is the Google Pixel 5s. So is this actually the name for the pixel 5? Well, as we know, Google will have three phones this year, the 4a which they just released, the 4a 5g and the pixel 5.

, because there's no flagship soc being used this year in the pixel 5. It makes things kind of weird, the pixel 485g and the five using exactly the same chipset. In any case, this specific device that we're looking at is a prototype unit, and so this must have been one of the names that google were playing around with. However, we do know now that this device- that's called pixel 5s here- is actually just going to be called the pixel 5. There are many publications using this image, actually saying that is the pixel 5s coming this year, but that certainly isn't true, at least according to Alex dogie from android central explaining this prototype device.

He literally said that the 5s name isn't something that google are thinking of now, even just saying that the pixel 5s name can be ignored and Google have settled on the naming scheme of 4a, 4a, 5g and 5. , so that middle phone, the 4a5g just linking up the 4a and the 5, and I think more or less that kind of works. There are also some updated leaks when it comes to the price of the pixel 5. I covered some leaks, a while back saying that the pixel 5 may be priced at about 699 dollars in the US new leaks, saying that it will come at around 649, so 50 difference. Definitely every little helps.

I actually really do like the pixel 5, the way it looks, and the camera is going to be great, but for 649 would you have liked a flagship soc in there? Definitely, let me know in the comments. Do you think it's too expensive for that mid-range soc, or do you think? Actually it just doesn't matter and overall the phone is going to be good value. Let me know in the comments, as always: that's it for now, though, thank you for watching this time thumbs up. If you liked it, and I'll see in the next one.
