Hey guys, I'm over here back again with another video this time it is about this Google Pixel 4a. Yes, I've got this device back from the Google service factory. Now in this video, I'm going to share with you guys my experience with Google service center. How good are they, and what are the things that you should know if your device is pixel? I told you that it was liquid damaged. The fault was mine, okay, but the problem that I faced that I was not aware that you know google. They don't have any service centers uh. You know in Garuda, not even in Gujarat and after that I came to know that they have a centralized service center in Mumbai. Okay.
So wherever you are in India, if your device is having any problem and if it has to be repaired- and if you want to go for you know the unauthorized repair, then you have to send your device to Mumbai now the process is very simple: here is the process. First, let's go through it. The process is very simple: go to google search and type in google support there. You will have this option tap on that. Then it will take you this page and there you have to select.
You know pixel phones, then the next page will be there where you have to tap on this option. Contact us then type in the issue that you have faced the problem that you're facing the next page and then these options will be there so simply tap on other, and then you have to select the device that you have. Okay, then, next after that, you just simply click on next and tap on get a call. Okay, there you have to you, know type in the number that you have the contact number then click on call me, but it takes some time. You know and um.
Yes, you have to wait now, if you're very lucky, then you don't have to wait for you know too long, and you will be connected to one of the executives now they will ask you about the device that you have, and they will ask you about the problems that you're facing and after that they will do one thing they will generate the pickup first. So what you have to do, they will email you with the airway bills. Okay, the visits that you have to print out and after that you will get a call from the FedEx guys. Okay, and it also takes time. Then you know you have to wait, because I had to wait two days for this and my device was picked up on 27th of uh.
You know October, okay, and on fifth of October I got a know: email that was having the estimate of the repair, and it was shocking and the amount that I had to pay was 22 569, rupees. Okay, so can you believe that I got this new device for uh 28 000, something plus something? Okay? Now I had to pay another 22 000 plus you know, so it was really shocking for me. But yes, as I told you, it was my fault, it was totally damaged. The screen was not working, yes, so that's fine, but the problem is that this service process is very lengthy, and it is not seamless. You know you have to get a call from Google guys they will set the appointment and the FedEx will pick up the device, and then it will be sent to Mumbai, and it will take some time you know and if you don't have any secondary device, this uh.
This will be really annoying for you guys. So plus this device is not. You know cheap. You know, uh. The display is very costly that what I come to know.
So what you have to do, you must buy an insurance for this. So if you are having this device and any other devices, whether it is Samsung or any of the devices with an oh, an oiled display, it is advisable that you should buy an insurance so that you don't have to pay more okay. So this is what I have learned now again, I'm telling you have to get a call from Google service support center, and then they will send you the receipts, the airway bills that you have to print, and you have to give those to the FedEx guy. Okay and they will, you know, send the device to their service factory in Mumbai and then, after that, you will get an email with the estimate. Okay, and if you accept it, you have to pay the amount, then they will start repairing.
The good thing is that the repair is done perfect uh. I can't say that it has been repaired. Okay, normally what happens? If you get it repaired by someone locally, then you will see the difference. You know the know the work. The finish is not that good.
If you get it repaired by someone else in the local show shop yeah. So my experience was not that good. But yes, if you have the device and if you want to repair it, this is the process. But again, I'm telling you that if you have this device, make sure that you have an insurance okay. Otherwise, that would be a really annoying thing to pay almost the same money that you have paid it for the new one, okay guys.
