Google Pixel 4 XL Vs Google Pixel XL! (Should You Upgrade?) (Review)

Hello everyone welcome back to the channel. Once again the boy is going to do another Google Pixel for Excel comparison and this time or comparing it to none other than the original Google Pixel X L. Now this is going to be pretty interesting because I just I'm so curious to see what the main differences are between the older generation phone and the newest Google Pixel for Excel, which I actually got free from Google. That's just a little thing: I have to say right there, but they're, not sponsoring this video I honestly think Google hates me now, because I've criticized the Google Pixel for Excel. So much but, like I said we already secured the bag. We already got the phone for free, and I'm, saying my honest opinions about it.

So hopefully, next year with the Google Pixel 5, they can make a better phone and then maybe, if I get the chance to get it for free again either or I'm going to get it either. I'm going to pay money for it, or they're. Going to give it to me whatever the cases hopefully next year. They can take these criticisms, and you know, make a much better phone, but the Google picks will excel, in my opinion, is still a pretty decent phone. It's still supported.

I have Android ten on mine and Android 10 on the pixel for Excel. Obviously, and I'll definitely tell you I do like Android 10, I love the gestures, I love everything and let's go ahead and kind of see what the main differences are between the pixel for Excel and the Google Pixel excel. Now, looking at the front on the pixel excel, we had a 5.5 inch, AMOLED display that one was 1440p, and it was actually a pretty decent panel. In my opinion, it was still good really the only issue with mine and a lot of other Google pixels that I've owned and yet really it's a AMOLED problem. The screen, burning is not a fun thing.

It's kind of annoying every single time I would pull up a device that had it all the device in there I thought it used nine times out of ten. It had screen burning, which is just annoying with a brand-new device like a little pixel fork. So you don't have that, but I'm not going to use that as I got negative for a pixel phone, because in a couple of years the pixel for Excel will go through the same exact thing, but on the pixel for Excel. We have a six point. Two re inches, P OLED display that one is also 1440p, and it's funny, though the PPI you know the screen density is almost the same on both of them, with the PPI being higher on the Google Pixel for Excel, so I guess it has that going for it.

Now on the front, you can easily tell there's a humongous difference way: more bezel on the pixel Excel and the pixel for Excel. There's no front facing speakers on either of these phones. So not a humongous deal but kind of annoyance. We do have a headphone jack on the pixel XL. We don't have that on FIFA for Excel, but we do have USB type-c on both.

So that's good on the back. You can see fingerprint sensor on the pixel excel only face unlocking on the pixel 4x. Also, no fingerprint sensors at all, and you can see we do have a dual camera setup on the pixel for Excel a single camera setup on the pixel excel and a crazy difference, not a humongous thing, but I definitely do like the pixel for excels. Overall look. It definitely looks like a very premium phone, the pixel excel dude.

It just does not look like a good phone at all. Furthermore, it's like one of the ugliest phones, I've ever seen, I hate to say it I own, the pixel excel I love it, but it's such a weird design to phone thick, bezels everywhere, I, don't know what they were thinking. There was no purpose for any of that vessel, but it still was a pretty good phone overall, in my opinion, now. Moving on to software. This is where one of the biggest things about the pixel devices are.

You know these phones will last very long in terms of software and even though the pixel excel came out in 2016, it's still getting software updates. I, don't think it's going to get Android, 11, actually I'm, pretty sure it's not going to get it, but it's still lasted for a pretty long time and there's still a lot of people. Who've owned this phone so in terms of software support, obviously the pixel for excels coins outlasted, but the pixel excel is still going to have a lot of third-party development support behind it? A lot of people are still going to like talking about it and because of that people own it, a ton of people want to go and keep this phone supported, so I'm pretty sure we're going to see Android 11, Android, 12 tons of Android ROMs for this thing, which I'm super excited about. So yes, the pixel for Excel will definitely outlast the pixel excel in terms the software stock software support, but the pixel excel will still hold its own in third-party development support. So let's go and talk about the performance.

I actually do a speed test right now. So you guys can see that many differences, but I'll tell you the specs between both of them, the Google Pixel Excel has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, one chipset, a quad-core CPU and Arena 530 GPU and both models of the pixel excel had four gigabytes of RAM. There was a 32 gigabyte model and a 128 gigabyte storage model with a Google Pixel for Excel, has a Qualcomm Snapdragon, 855 chipset and outscore CPU and Arena 640, GPU and 6 gigabytes of RAM, so 50% more ram, technically 2, more gigabytes of ram on the pixel for Excel than the pixel excel, but the storage variants Solar only maxed out at 128, which doesn't make any sense. They did not make any improvements there, but that has nothing to do with the performance. So I'll go ahead.

Let you guys see the performance, let's go and see which one is the fast one between both of these. What's up my girlfriend's have boyfriends: let's go ahead and do the speed comparison I've somewhat of the similar apps on both of them. So let's just get right into it. Let's do Facebook three two one pixel for Excel. It's pretty noticeably faster, in my opinion, right there Snapchat three-two-one dude.

This one was almost instantaneous, as you can see, I have all the apps cleared out any background for both of them. That's pretty crazy! Now I had Instagram downloaded on here, but I. Don't know where one, so we're not gonna. Do that me! Guess Sofa three, two one as you can see, I mean yes, the pixel for Excel is faster so far, and this might be too easy like too soon to say this, but it's not as crazy have a difference. I know I say that all the time, but not as crazy of a difference as I thought it's to paper, IO, ? and I said Ohio I do three two one and again the pixel for Excel a little faster, but I got not as fast as I might have thought.

You can see it kind of got loaded into the pixel for Excel faster getting into some gameplay. You can see kind of this thing. I mean I, don't really notice that crazy of a difference, but you might be able to see a bigger difference from the camera by looking at it are these from the screen would Netflix three two one again pixel for Excel, faster for sure, not a crazy difference, like I've stated so far, but faster for sure to Temple Run, 3, 2, 1, and I will have to restart this, because this dumb game doesn't want to do for me and guys. I do apologize, I, don't want it. Furthermore, I didn't want to offend help or run right.

There, I've been having kind of a rough morning to have already come through difference. Guys I mean it's an it's a pretty it's it. It's not a crazy difference for sure I mean it's just a little of a difference which it's faster every single time so far. So that's a good sign, I'm glad it's not like just faster. Sometimes, let's get into some gameplay see if we notice any differences, which we probably won't, and you guys might be able to tell that the screens look almost the same to me like it's, not that big of a difference, then you do have that 90, or it's refresh rate on the pixel for Excel, which is really cool.

I, do like it I, don't think it's like the best thing ever, though, right now, because it's like tied to the brightness, but I think with this next update that Google is pushing for it. Then it will be much better. So that's another huge advantage for the pixel, for so that I might have not mentioned in that audio. Thank you three two one and pixel for Excel, again, faster just by a little duh like so far, every single one has been a little faster, not, not much though Temple Run, 2 3, 2 1. Oh my god, of course, I get this stupid pop-up.

It wouldn't really make that much difference. In my opinion, this one is still loading is still taking a long time. I will say: well, let's give this one. Like a two-second advantage because of that little pop-up, even then it's still so much slower. Okay, let's get into some gameplay, then that took a minute on it and, let's see if any one of them stutter up or the pixel Excel set, is up at all, and it doesn't really look like it seems to be doing a pretty decent job.

My opinion snake versus blocks three two one, and you know what the pixel for Excel. It's like as soon as I click, an app it kind of just already starts loading it with the pixel excel. It is a little slower, let's get into some gameplay here, let's see if any of them stutter up and no, so you need to be pretty decent so far, let's go and end it off with Real Racing, 3, 3, 2, 1. Okay, see this game always messes with me, because it shows that it doesn't think I thought I clicked on it or I. Don't think that I clicked on Excel for Excel, already loaded you and the pixel Excel okay, we finally get into it quite a bit of difference again guys like it.

There is a difference: it's not as crazy as you might think, but there definitely is it different. So what I'll tell you are I think every test the pixel Excel was the faster one. So let it out I'll give it the benefit. That doubt is the faster phone overall. Is it like the most insane thing? No I think there's.

Oh, it's pretty close, but the pixel for Excel. Okay, yes, is the faster device over off? That's what you guys want to hear. So, let's get back to the rest of the comparison. Now that we're back, let's go and talk about the cameras. Now the pixel Excel had a single twelve point: three megapixel camera, the pixel for Excel has a 12 point, two megapixel wide-angle lens and then a 16 megapixel telephoto lens.

Now here's the craziest thing and I. You know the quality. Yes, it's probably better. On the pixel for Excel, everything about the pixel for excels. Camera is better in every single way, but some parts are extolling the same.

There's still 4k at 30 frames per second 1080p at 120 frames per second, and the thing in my opinion is that, yes, the pixel for excels camera is better, but for a phone that prides itself on the camera for a phone. That's like okay, you're getting this phone, mostly because of the software, also the camera. They did not go that forecasts 50 frames per second round and for me personally, I only use 1080p and I, don't even use 1080p at 60 frames, I use 1080p at 30 frames and for me personally, I'm, not too crazy about it, but it's like in the future. I know I'm going to switch to 4k at 30 at 4k 60, so I want a phone that can have that capability, especially when you look at the iPhones, the Samsung's, all these phones. Now in 2019 all these phones have 4k 60.

So why couldn't go, go and put that in this phone? You know so, even though the quality might be better that this, and that might be better I still think Google could have done way better. With this camera sensor, my opinion so guess the pixel for excels camera is better, but it's still not the best, in my opinion, in the market right now in terms of overall features. Now moving on to the battery life I hate to leave that in such a twisted note, but the pixel XL had at 3400 15-month power battery, the pixel for Excel has a 37 hundred million power battery, and even if these batteries were full meaning, the pixel Excel did not appreciate. I would still give the edge to the pixel for Excel, because the pixel Excel I know mine is not brand new. It's used.

The battery has degraded quite a bit. It's not at that. Full 34 50 is probably like through thousand way, probably way less than that, in my opinion, so without a doubt, the pixel for Excel, so we'll still have the better battery life. In my opinion, and to kind of overall some of this whole entire thing dude. What I can tell you was, without a doubt, the pixel for Excel, better phone, every single, which way you look at it.

It's a better phone, better, looking better specs inside better screen kind of not really better. Looking screen, though batteries better cameras are better and everything, but the pixel excel. If you made it last, this long I think it's still a pretty decent phone. It's like a ninety dollar phone at less than one hundred hour phone at this point. So if you need something to get you over with, if you need something to get you going, a pixel excel is a tremendous phone and I think it's one of the better value per dollar phones right now, but it's at the end of its software lifecycle.

It's really not going any further. If I worried you, though, in that forward, to choose between both of them or if you have a pixel excel, you want to go up, I would say: get a pixel to excel. Do that phone is a killer phone. That phone is awesome from facing speakers. You have a lot of going for that phone still, I would recommend a pixel to excel over the original pixel excel, but without a doubt both phones are very good.

Obviously, the pixel for Excel being better but I, don't know guys. I, don't think, there's been that much improvement between these, in my opinion, so that's pretty much it if you guys have any other questions or anything leave it down in the comment section below hit that like button on me so much, but definitely hit that subscribe button, every single subscriber that we get really discount so don't mean so much to you guys, going to hit that also check out the other links down in the description as well.
