Google Pixel 3a XL - Unboxing & First Look By DanieBoy's Tech

Hey guys Danny Boy here and today, I have an unboxing. This is going to be the Google Pixel three AXL and here we're in the summer of 2019. This phone just came out in May, and I've been wanting to get it. I had a real car even for this one, primarily because you're getting you know the flagship camera you're getting some good specs here, nice pick from made by Google for a very good cost and as a matter of fact, I got mine, ordered on a Prime Day or the prime sale they had on July, 16th I think, and they had this phone on sale for 379. It's normally 479, it's $100 lasts, bundled with $100 gift card, so you bought the phone for 379, plus the gift card for a hundred, and that was the deal so basically $100 off the phone pets really sweetie, so yeah I mean the last time I had a Google made device. The only time I did was the Nexus 6p and that was made by Huawei I.

Think I had that in 2015. It seems like so maybe four years ago, something like that, and that was a real nice device. The build was perfect. The software was probably my best pure stock Android experience I've ever just from a bug-free bloodless standpoint. Don't get me wrong.

The OnePlus devices are also superfast and smooth, but as far as you know, being bug friend just working like literally all the time that was perfect. So you know obviously I'm excited to try this one. Now I did get a chance a couple of months ago, right after it came out to go and Best Buy and look at him and what I found was the 3a and the 3a Excel, there's not a lot of difference and the physical size, so I decided to just go at the Excel and get the bigger screen, because the smaller one, really you get a smaller screen, but the physical size isn't at much smaller to kind of warrant the pocket ability of that. So that was my choice. Probably the only advantage to going with the smaller one would be it slightly more pocketable and the PPI it's a little higher I think it's like 441, something like that, and this is like 403, but you know I, just like the big screens on smartphones for sure, because I do a lot of reading.

So, besides the point, let's go ahead and unbox ass baby get into this see what we got going on here now when I ordered it, it took ten and a half weeks' cos Amazon sold out, so I had to wait on it, but I was totally cool with that for the hundred dollar savings for sure, so gotta be patient with these things not get to then to whites more in smartphones, but they are sweet. So here's what we're dealing with guys- and this here is the clearly white model. I like white phones, always have kind of reminds me of my old iPod college days, where the iPods were YT, so I like to get white devices when I can my iPhone is the white silver model. So here we are. This is really exciting guys.

It's been such a long time since I've had a Google device. Real nice presentation here, I'm impressed with this turn it over got it all sealed up, Pierre, so yeah. Let me guess you got a little tab. She pulls here to break the seals. Wow like I, said it's been a couple of months since I've seen one over here for now and yep, that's about the size, I recall being in Wow, very lightweight feeling, and that must be because we have a plastic build here.

You forget how much glass adds to the weight for sure wow that is really like compared to what I'm used to wowing, it's amazing and I'm so glad to have a headphone jack back man. I use a headphone jack, probably 2, to 3 times a week and I. You know, I really don't prefer to use dongles right, I! Don't think anybody would prefer that I'm. So man, that it is beautiful to see that for sure camera lens there looks awfully big, looks kind of cool that way. Wow.

Let's get this plastic golf here: yeah I, just and I'm, just so amazed by how I eat it feels I didn't realize the glass made have found so much more heavy I mean this feels like I'm holding a hundred and forty uranium phones I, don't know what it really weighs but, like I, think most phones these days around 200, maybe even a little more than that, but this feels just like I'm holding my old iPhone 3GS or something Wow and one another thing: I'm really, really glad the half AK at least compared to my one plus seven probes, is a flat screen, and it's beautiful to see that flat screen. Well, let's see what else we get in the box here, this off see what they give us here: obviously, books and some removal tool and okay, let's see charger, whines, USB type-c. Definitely nice white, cable, here probably three feet, and this is an arresting that they would provide this. We have a USB type-c to probably USB three, a which is pretty surprised. They would provide that the heck I'll take it that's nice for sure so, and then I'm assuming this is the brick, maybe yeah so nice sized brick here.

So it must be fast charging of some sort, see if it says that's a real say, or at least I'm sure, but hopefully it's got some type of fast charging here. That would definitely be nice, but that's really all there is to it guys no headphones, but I wasn't expecting an e so yeah. Let me go ahead and fire this thing and see what we're dealing with here before I. Do that actually I want to put my sim in it said, hang on a sec, all right, guys, I just put my son on the side right here, so I'm gonna fire this baby up for the first time and let's see what's going on here, looks real nice. You know I, don't mind having bezels on the top and bottom, because I'd rather have those than a notch and I kind of like that bad.

There is a slight bezel on each side here because it kind of gives you a place for your fingers to hold it without the fear of accidentally touching the sides. The display so I kind of like that I am digging the size of this display for sure, looks like it's about the perfect size. It's good all right, guys, I just went through the setup, took probably about seven or eight minutes, because I actually did a day to transfer of most of my data from my one plus seven Pro to this device and that it's really sweet and really fast bailsman. So, let's get into the home screen and I believe it's now mode. Well, it did add a to transfer to my app.

So let's see what we got going on here as we get into the phone here now, they want me to do the assessment all right. Let's try this I forgot about this I'll have to just go with the average because I'm, not sure on this. That looks good now. This has an always-on display. I did you know, let's turn that on for sure, yeah I think we're good one last sport.

Now, let's not do that. All right. You can see what I sank there I didn't do Faraday's because it was like way too much. One thing I do want to see about. This is what are their swipe gestures I think there will because I think yeah.

Okay, here we are for the very for in it even copied my wallpaper, very nice, so I guess we got the Google home thing here. Very good forgot about this. It's been a long time since I used anything like this, so I'll have to set that up for how I want it man. This is great recent items so that shorts white must have been to get to your recent apps. So here's what we're dealing with an app drawer now seeing my apps okay.

So it's actually getting ready to install my abs through the Wi-Fi. Okay, I thought. It's its! You know. Data sank my apps, but it's all good. Let's get into the settings here.

Why not got a fifty-four percent battery charge here and just you know what I think I'll just get in all that later, but you can see it guys. I mean, looks real nice. The screen size here looks like about the perfect size. See so yeah I mean looks real nice here, so I'm going to get all this set up just the way I want it. Gonna use the device, probably for a couple of days here and then I'll do a know: 48 hours later, video probably and see what I'm thinking of the phone so guys for now.
